Readers who enjoy stories set in Alaska will like this Missing in Alaska series. The conclusion to the series focuses on a lost manuscript written by Jack London. Readers will want to read the first two books to fully grasp the story. Love the characters and the setting. Very adventurous but at times a little farfetched but it's fiction. Quite the mystery! Recommended.

I really tried to get into this story, I started and stopped twice. The issue was that I could not follow the plot. What happened to her sister Grace? Why was she even looking for the manuscript? Why was it cursed? Did the two main characters know each other and how? I looked at the first two books online but they didn't seem to have the answers, but I could be wrong. I really wanted to like this story, I apologize that I did not. I am sure it is just a style of writing that I am not used to. Thank you for letting me review this story.

Hidden in the Night is the third and final book of the Missing in Alaska series. I have enjoyed this series and hate to see it end. The setting and characters with the danger, suspense, and mystery of finding missing people are highpoints of the series. We know Alaska State Trooper Nolan Long from the previous books. He is brother of Shadow Gap police chief Autumn. Ivy Elliott is in Shadow Gap to purchase an unpublished manuscript by Jack London for her mom, going through cancer treatment. Ivy and her mom were in Alaska a year ago when they met Nolan. There was definitely a spark between the two and hasn't gone away. The purchase of the manuscript doesn't happen because a young woman left her grandmother taking it with her. Ivy, a former FBI agent, unite with Nolan to find the girl, manuscript, and answers to what is going on as murders, attacks, and sabotage begin at every turn. Someone is trying to stop Ivy. This is a great addition to the series as the two travel around the beautiful but dangerous wilds of Alaska fighting unknown assailants to find answers that go deeper than anyone ever expected. This one has all the elements of a great romantic suspense as Elizabeth Goddard is great at writing.

Thoroughly enjoyed this action packed, edge of your seat, romantic suspense! Elizabeth Goddard is quickly becoming a favorite, must read author in this genre. Hidden in the Night starts off with a bang and doesn’t let up. I was immediately invested in the plight of Ivy Elliot and her search for a lost Jack London manuscript. She ventures from sunny Florida to frigid, beautiful Alaska, known as the “land of the lost” on a quest to buy it. But, when she arrives, the manuscript is missing along with the young woman who was supposed to deliver it to her. She asks for help from the Alaska State Troopers not realizing it’s the handsome Nolan Long whom she met briefly several months ago who’ll be assisting her. Will they be able to solve the complicated mystery involving murders, blackmail, a missing woman, and a potential deadly secret before they become the next targets?

I loved this book! It definitely pulled me in and was impossible to put down. The chemistry between Ivy & Nolan was explosive. They’re both reluctant to express their feelings mainly because of how far apart they live from each other & Ivy’s mother’s cancer diagnosis. But, every time they’re together, there’s a sizzling, underlying current between them. I enjoyed how they grew closer as they’re put in one challenging situation after another. Ivy has reasons why she left the FBI and Nolan’s suffering from an incident in his past as well. Both experiences are teased out as the story progresses and added even more depth to their already complex characters.

The mystery was so full of twists and turns. The missing manuscript is just one piece of the puzzle. There are numerous attempts on Ivy’s life and I was on pins and needles wondering when the next attempt would come. The setting is amazing and I loved the vivid descriptions of the terrain. I almost needed a blanket while reading because I could easily imagine those freezing temperatures. The ending was a shocking surprise as all the clues come together reaching a nail biting climax.

Highly recommend this thrilling, romantic suspense with a touch of faith! Though it’s part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone, however it was fun seeing characters from previous books. Looking forward to the next book from this author! Ivy Elliott has returned to Alaska to search for a lost manuscript written by Jack London. But when the woman she is supposed to purchase the manuscript from turns up missing, along with her granddaughter, Ivy must seek the help of her former acquaintance and crush, Alaska State Trooper Nolan Long.

As Ivy and Nolan dig into the disappearance, more and more deadly occurrences happen. Will they be able to survive, and locate the missing women and missing manuscript? And will they be able to admit their feelings for one another?

Goddard once again creates an incredibly suspenseful story, filled with twists and turns and many evil characters, as well as the relatable and flawed Ivy and Nolan. She keeps the reader guessing until the very end, including some shocking twists.

She also fills “Hidden in the Night,” which is due out June 4, with several great themes, like our help comes from God; we should serve justice with love, kindness and mercy; and the need for redemption.

Fans of authors like Lynette Eason, Lisa Harris, Patricia Bradley, Sandra Orchard and Terri Blackstock will truly enjoy this novel.

Hidden in the Night is the third book in Elizabeth Goddard's Missing in Alaska series. It can be read as a stand-alone story but, as in many series, there is value in reading the previous books. It's always a pleasure to see returning characters. Ivy, Sunshine Girl from Florida, and Nolan, Mountain Man from Alaska, have history together and tension is high as to whether there will be a future as they work together in the present situation. Edge of the seat action, a dead state trooper, a missing girl and murder all work together to keep the pages turning in this suspense romance. With a mixture of intrigue and tender moments Goddard gives readers an absorbing and satisfying story. Readers who enjoy stories full of twists and turns will not want to miss this one. What a gripping conclusion to the Missing in Alaska Series! Ms. Goddard has a knack for penning an excellent romantic suspense series all wrapped up for an epic closure. Ivy Elliott, formally of the FBI is in search of a lost manuscript while Alaska State Trooper Nolan Long teams up in an intense game of cat and mouse in the deadly Alaskan winter. The characters were very relatable and easy to feel invested in and you just might recognize some minor characters from the rest of the series. The pace of the action is excellent, without feeling that the main characters are constantly being barraged with challenges. I did not figure out who the culprit was until it was revealed at the bitter end, but I definitely enjoyed the wild ride. Even though this is a series, I feel that this can easily be read as a stand-alone novel.
Ms. Goddard is a multiple award-winning novelist and I have read and thoroughly enjoyed several of her of them, but I do recommend reading the rest of this series. She has an incredibly generous backlist of over fifty titles that I am slowly making my way through. I would not hesitate to recommend any of her novels. If you enjoy her novels then I would also recommend Nancy Mehl, Lynn H. Blackburn, and Janice Cantore.

Wow, what a thrilling suspense story is Hidden in the Night by Elizabeth Goddard. While a couple of previous characters make appearance in this book, this is Ivy Elliott’s and Alaska State Trooper Nolan Long’s story all the way. A missing young woman and a manuscript unpublished by Jock London are just the tip of the iceberg in this exciting book.

It is one that keeps you thinking as well as turning pages. I was so blown away by the conclusion along with the unknown threats that it suggested. This is a masterpiece of Christian fiction, Psalms 121:1-2 is now my new favorite verses. I highly recommend this third book in the Missing in Alaska Series.

Hidden in the Night by Elizabeth Goddard is the third book in the Missing in Alaska series. It can be read as a standalone for those new to the series (like me). I enjoyed the author’s picturesque descriptions of Alaska. I like suspense books set in Alaska. There is something about this remote cold wilderness that heightens the danger and adds to the suspense. Ivy Elliott is a unique woman. You can tell she loves her mother. Alaska State Trooper Nolan Long is a man of strong character. The mystery was intriguing. I liked that it revolved around a missing Jack London manuscript. I found the first half to be a little slow, but the pacing picked up in the latter part thanks to all the action. There is a good wrap up at the end, so I was not left with any lingering questions. The romance blended nicely with the suspense. It was not rushed, and it was clean. I can tell the author did her research for this series. She included some great details that add to the experience. Hidden in the Night is a suspenseful story with a great cast of characters, plenty of twists and turns, faith, and romance.

Goddard tactfully tackles hard topics as she jumps in to Ivy and Nolan's story. She masterfully pulls together this adventure as she brings former FBI agent Ivy Elliott back to Alaska to track down a rare unpublished manuscript. Ivy once again lands in Alaska State Trooper Nolan Long's backyard. They are both trying to do their jobs when they find themselves thrown together in the most unexpected places.
As Goddard does so well Ivy and Nolan both run in to multiple opportunities to explore themselves, their pasts, their interest, and their future. Will they be able to set aside the things that haunt them to grab a hold of what the Lord has placed in front of them? Or are they destined to remain in their comfortably uncomfortable circumstances?
Goddard is a great storyteller who never fails to pull me deeper and deeper in to the adventures she weaves. I have enjoyed this series and am excited for what will come next. I love how she continues to bring the characters from the earlier books in to each of the subsequent ones and vice versa.

This suspense filled book was a good read. There was mystery and a romance that was a little different. I would recommend this to anyone that likes a clean suspense story. It is the story of a couple separated by distance that meet up together unexpectedly and a search for a messing teenager and antique manuscript all in one. I was given this book to review.

I liked Hidden in the Night. It is the third book in Missing in Alaska series.
Here we find the story of Nolan Long, an Alaskan state trooper. He is Autumn Long’s, from Cold Light of Day, brother. He is preparing to go on vacation in Florida to hopefully see Ivy, who he met during a previous adventure, when he encounters Ivy in Alaska.
The awkwardness of their meeting and their individual self doubts disrupt the flow of events that kept moving the storyline forward.
There are many elements I like in the story and found interesting. Nolan and Ivy’s interactions were disruptive to the story for me until more than half way through. I like the ending and feel like it worked.
I really wanted to like this book more as I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in the series.

Ivy, former FBI agent, and Nolan, Alaska State Trooper have met before and during their last meeting they both fell in love. But when the meeting was over... she headed back to Florida, and him to Alaska WAY... too far for a relationship, and that was that!

UNTIL Ivy finds herself back in Alaska in search of a manuscript and missing girl and she ends up working alongside Nolan to crack the case. What seems like a simple missing manuscript turns into a much larger case and everywhere they turn, they aren't safe. Nolan is protecting Ivy, Ivy is working with Nolan, but who is protecting their hearts? Even if they can find the manuscript and find the missing girl, Danna, what's to become of them, again?!

Very neat story, Elizabeth clearly did a lot of research and put a lot of thought and planning into this storyline. She is a wonderful author. I rated it a 4 because for me... it ran a little long, and I found myself struggling to push through to the ending.

In this thrilling conclusion to the Missing in Alaska series, we finally get Nolan & Ivy's story. I love how the author gently weaves in the characters from the previous stories. The Christian elements are gentle and generally background but I appreciated how clean the romance is. Readers who enjoy Christian suspense and especially fans of Elizabeth Goddard will not be disappointed in this story.

I really wanted to like this book. I've read lots of other books by Ms. Goddard, and have like them all. This book seemed to start in the middle of Jack and Ivy's story. I have read the other books in the series. I guess I needed to go back and re-read the other books before reading this one. Jack and Ivy spent a lot of time trying to avoid their feelings for each other. Just come out and say how you feel. Jack let Ivy leave twice before he was convinced to go after her. The mystery was good and kept me guessing.

Alaska- a remote and beautiful place and very hard for State Trooper Nolan Long to police. Equally hard for former FBI agent Ivy Elliot to search for a missing giirl who has a unique lost manuscript attributed to Jack London. Ivy and Nolan met last summer and neither one can forget that short but sweet week.
Full of intrigue, harrowing adventures and appealing romance, this story has sinister overtones and an unexpected mystery lurking in the permafrost.
I loved seeing characters from previous books. The writing is solid, the plot riveting and the faith element was skillfully imparted.
Another intense offering in a noteworthy series by an excellent author.
