Perfectly Wicked by Lindsay Lovise is a cute, cozy fantasy and is well-suited for the Fall season. The mystery is also more layered than I was initially expecting in this story and a pleasant surprise.

Holly Celeste and Connor Grimm have a fun dynamic and cute banter, and they are well-suited as a lead romance couple. This story of insta-lust turned to love does not work for me, but may be suited to other readers.

I enjoyed the lead characters, however, the supporting characters left something to be desired. I found Missy, one of the twins to be quite annoying and I had wished she would have more sense and compassion for Holly. I also found the family’s treatment of Jeremy to be strange – for a family that loves each other, and obstinately loves Holly, why would they allow him to be around? I also did not find a meaningful difference in personality between the aunts and it’s apparent there are two aunts for the “two twins and older sister” family trend.

There is a fair amount of kitsch, quirk, and cliché in this story. Despite my misgivings of the supporting characters, the story remains a recommendable cute, easy read.

Thank you NetGalley and Alcove for the ARC.

a cute cozy light fantasy read perfect if you want to read a fantasy but don’t want to be weighed down with world building and intricate plots. there was some cheesy parts but i felt that i fit the vibe of the book so i didn’t mind it too much

the setting, characters and storyline are cute and it gives you just enough mystery to want to keep reading to the end. the writing is great and easy to follow and would be the perfect book for someone who’s been wanting to ease themselves into fantasy.

loved connor and hollys dynamic and banter although i would have loved to have seen more of the initial weariness as if felt kind of insta lusty to me which im not a big fan of i would have liked to have seen more depth but for what the book is i understand why they were written that way.

i dont know why but this book gave me such a nostalgic feeling? it was giving halloween town vibes and i was loving it this would definitely be a perfect october read!

thank you to NetGalley and Alcove Press for sending me the arc!

This books was so much fun! The apple orchard setting and the "witchy" vibes make this the perfect Autumn/Spooky season read and I really hope we get books about Holly's sisters, because there's a lot of sequel potential in this first book. I loved Connor and Holly's romance and I thought their story was paced perfectly. The accompanying cast of characters were also a delight, which made this book even better. If you enjoy witchy stories and romcoms with a bit of spice, I highly recommend this.

4,5 stars!

Perfectly Wicked by Lindsay Lovise is funny, cozy, charming, easy to follow, and wicked spooky :P - I grew up in New England and one of my favorite activities since childhood has been going to the apple orchards to pick apples and drink fresh cider! I even briefly lived on an apple orchard when I was a toddler. It’s been several years since I moved away and this story certainly gave me feelings of homesickness.

Our MC Holly Celeste is part owner of the infamous family orchard Wicked Good Apples - known to have the best cider in all of Maine…. Unfortunately this orchard has fallen on some hard times following some witchy accusations. What perfect timing for Connor Grimm to decide to bring his paranormal reality show to small town Maine in hopes of recording some episodes at the orchard and bringing the truth to light.

Holly and her family are a quirky bunch that you can’t help but fall in love with, and Connor seems to fit right in with them. Connor is only going to be in town for three weeks while he films the episode, but that doesn’t stop Holly and him from experiencing a whirlwind romance….his assistant, Charlotte, notices that he’s becoming distracted and worries what this might mean for the show. Holly and Connor know things can’t get too serious between them but the heart wants what it wants.

There are some delightful twists that unfold that I certainly was not predicting! I was delightfully surprised by the spicy scenes and had a hard time putting this one down even as my eyeballs were aching. Although this book takes place in spring/summer - this will absolutely be enjoyable during its autumn release…The ending was satisfying to say the least.

I recommend this book to lovers of the supernatural and suckers for a cheesy romance.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Alcove Press for the ARC in exchange for my review. I look forward to reading more from this author and I’m hopeful we get a spin-off from this series - these characters and setting are a lot of fun and I’d love to see spend more time with them.

This was so freaking cute and cozy! It would be absolutely perfect to read in the fall and the fact that it takes place in New England made me love it even more. A nostalgic apple farm setting but make it haunted. I loved the dual POV between Connor and Holly - Holly is an amazing FMC, and Connor is definitely a swoon worthy love interest.

This book had the perfect amount of romance, humor, conflict, and spice mixed in with the supernatural. The whole paranormal reality TV show storyline was really fun and the author put a unique spin on the idea of witches. I also loved Holly’s whole family and how each of the sisters had such distinct personalities. I’m very much hoping a certain sister gets her own story!

This was a much needed, cosy and witchy read!

Perfectly Wicked introduces us to a strong female MC who takes no flack from people around her. She just wants to grow her apples and look after her family. Then we add in an attractive show maker who wants to poke his nose around the farm (and our MC) but add in sprinkles of mystery, ghosts and a jerk ex to brew up a lovable story.

I noticed some looks sparking between two of our other characters, plus with the introduced of a big bad, I'm willing to bet more to come...maybe?

If you loved the ex-hex you are going to love this! Perfectly Wicked is cute, cozy, mysterious, witchy read! Holly and Connor are too cute. I also liked the fact that the mystery of what they (Holly and her family) are is also a mystery for us until Connor finds out. This book was such a good read (especially for fall, halloween) from the mystery to the spice. It was written well!

Thank you NetGalley and Alcove Press, and of course the author for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

It was so cute with the wicked theme, iykyk, I love a FMC who doesn’t take crap from anyone! I’m a fan of supernatural and their family dynamic is awesome. Also how their family line works it’s so cool!

I loved the chemistry the MCs had and how their attraction grew. If you love supernatural, romance, fierce FMC, charming MMC, hilarious family, and more you should definitely check out this book!!

I hope there will be more books for this family. I want to two characters end up together so bad😂

A fun mystery mixed in with magical sisters and a well-loved apple farm, Perfectly Wicked is a story that makes for a good evening read. I always enjoy a strong female lead, and I liked her sisters as well! I do feel like the lore could have been incorporated into the story in a smoother way, and there were also scenes where I felt like the writing was a little awkward, but overall it was an entertaining story!

Well, after this one, I'm officially in the mood for everything fall, including but not limited to: apple orchards, pumpkins, cider, witches and spooky ghost stories (and it's not even summer yet!).

Holly Celeste and her twin sisters (along side her twin aunts) have a gift (or several). Most notably, they are responsible for making the best apple cider in all of Maine at their adorably quaint family owned apple orchard, Wicked Good Apples. Sadly, over the last four years, their cider sales just haven't been enough to keep their business out of the red. When faced with an impossible financial situation, Holly begrudgingly decides to accept an offer from a reality series, Grimm Reality, in exchange for allowing a crew to investigate and film their orchard for evidence of a haunting that the town seems to be whispering about.

This comes with two problems. One, the absolutely distractedly handsome Connor Grimm, host of the reality series and paranormal expert. Two, the very real possibility that Connor digs too deep into the orchard/family history and uncovers a deep secret that the family has hoped to keep buried for two hundred years. While Connor seeks to investigate the numerous reports of a haunting at Wicked Good Apples, he has also heard tales of something more than just a good ghost story. There's something deeper at play here, and as a paranormal investigator, Connor's going to crack this case wide open in order to get to the 'core' of all of the strange happenings at play here (see what I did there?).

There's just one problem, as big of a mystery as the orchard is to Connor, the greater mystery here is Holly, and in bad form, he's begun to fall for her from day one. How can he justify a relationship with her when he's married to his work and never stays in one place more than a couple weeks? Could his relationship with Holly ever be chalked up to just a fling-is he even capable of that with her? On the flip side, can Holly trust Connor to keep their family secret safe, or is he just playing her like the rest of her washed up relationships? More than anything, Holly just wants to be able to open up and be honest about who she is with someone who won't go running for the hills.

As all the puzzle pieces start to fit together, Connor and Holly will both have to choose what direction their relationship takes in order to save themselves and the well being of the orchard. An adorable love story wrapped up in the perfect autumn ghost story with a touch of mystery and a whole lot of intrigue. Connor and Holly's story is one for the ages, and I seriously hope this story continues on with the rest of the Celeste siblings in their own respective love stories **cough cough..hint hint Lindsay Lovise**

A really fun read from start to finish! I can already tell this one is going to be a hit this upcoming spooky season!

This was a such a good premise (with a twist that does add some uniqueness) but I just felt like it fell flat on follow through.

In theory it was a gently spooky story of witches, ghosts, family and romance with a shot of mystery for good measure. In actuality, it was a great start on all those story lines with each one rushing to a predictable finish. I did not feel the chemistry between the characters, and the great family trauma/secrets were merely filler between two people falling prey to insta-lust.

On the positive side, the mythos was interesting. How Lovise handles the concept of magic creates a fun world. Each part of the story from the magic cider, to the ghosts, to the family mythology was interesting and well crafted...plot wise it just didn't come together for me.

Want a medium paced book that involves ghost hunters trying to find a ghost that’s haunting the grounds of an apple farm 👀 👻…but that’s ALLL they want these ghost hunters to catch onto 😂 look no further. Our author gives us a cozy witchy read with a magical feel to it. I was so happy to have been given the opportunity to read this light hearted read that gave me practical magic meets ghost adventures vibes🤭.

Thank you @netgalley and @alcovepress for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

3.5 stars but rounding up!

The story between Holly and Connor was very sweet, often cheesy and featured some fun enemies to lovers (especially at the start).

I liked the way the story moved away from the stereotype that they were witches and I think the backstory of Connor and he's obsession with haunting was really interesting.

It's cute, fun and cheesy romance! I kind of wish he was a wolf shifter though (which was randomly hinted at with the alpha wolf references but then dropped).

I'm looking forward to winter and Connor's brothers story 😊

What a super cute and spooky read! This is a book that’s meant to be read while sipping hot apple cider around a bonfire. I was really drawn to read this by its promise for the paranormal and its adorable cover! I really enjoyed this book and read it in about two sittings.

Holly Celeste’s family make the best apple cider in Maine, but even that is not enough to keep their business afloat. She reluctantly lets the sexy ghost hunting TV show host, Connor Grimm, film a few episodes of his show at her house, as it’s speculated to be haunted. Little did he know, there’s much more paranormal activity on the farm than just one little ghost.

I love a small town, enemies to lovers, cozy romance, and this book definitely delivered. I adored all of the banter, and the Celeste family was such a joy to read. I’m really curious to see if she will write another in this same universe (one you read it, you’ll see!!).

Thank you so much NetGalley, Alcove Press, and Lindsay Lovise for the ARC!

This is such a great cute easy fantasy romcom.

It has a different take on wicked witches ( I don’t want to tell you much.) but it’s a unique idea.

I love Holly as a character! She is fiercely loyal and protective of her family. She is strong willed and caring.

I read this book in a day and found it such a pallet refresher!

There are a few nasty mean characters which makes the story more interesting and gives it a little mystery.

I adored this book. It's got all the cute, paranormal romance vibes you could ever want with the added bonus of a twist you'll never see coming.

Holly Celeste's apple orchard is failing to turn enough of a profit. A ghost hunting show wants to feature them, and while the money would help, Holly stubbornly refuses. But when she's outvoted by her sisters and aunts, she reluctantly allows Connon Grimm to film on the condition that she investigates with him. She's hoping to stop him from uncovering secrets he shouldn't about the Celeste family, but when the ghost turns out to be real, their family secrets won't stay hidden much longer.

There is so much to love about this book. The reluctant partnership. The forced proximity. The slow building friendship that leads to an explosive romance. I love paranormal romance and this book is one of the best I've read. I did not see the twist coming and I loved every second of the big reveal. I won't say much because I don't want to spoil it, but I think it's safe to say I've never read anything like it. And I want more. I hope there will be future books set in this universe because it is so rich and fun.

I highly recommend this one for spooky season.

Perfect witchy fall vibes are wrapped up in this book. This book is an easy 4 stars for me as the storyline was unique in comparison to other paranormal fiction books. I already wish I could read it again without knowing the secret. I also sense the opportunity for a sequel and cannot wait to hear more about this family!

Perfectly Wicked drew me in with its promise of an original story and its cute cover.
I definitely enjoyed reading this cute, cozy and also sexy paranormal romance.
I especially liked the characters and how they treated one another and, of course, the cute hedgehog companion.

Unfortunately, the story didn't stand out for me amongst other cozy and paranormal romance stories. I fear, this story is quite forgettable and not very unique. That being said, I would still recommend this book, if you're just looking for a quick and cute palette cleanser - perfect for the fall.
