HER TRUE MATCH is another fast paced, action-filled and entertaining addition to the X-Ops series. Time is running out on the team to find what they need to expose a conspiracy at the DCO and the newest team members may be the ones to help with that. A cat burglar and a police detective are an unusual pairing, but Dreya Clark isn't your everyday cat burglar. She needs the challenge to keep her shifter half sane, and her extraordinary abilities have ensured both a successful stint and kept her out of jail, but detective Braden Hayes is very determined to end her lucky streak. The cat and mouse game Dreya and Braden have been involved in has built an unexpected bond of trust between them, one that comes in handy when they both get drafted as new agents to the DCO and have to go on assignment immediately. Dreya isn't very trusting of anyone, which is why her easy acceptance of Braden is such a big deal, and Braden is a by-the-book cop, with reason, so following his instincts when it comes to Dreya is out of character for him. Both characters were easygoing and likable, with little drama between them. Dreya is smart and sassy and very independent. Braden is a rule follower and very good at his job, but also a really great guy who's compassionate and protective. His easy acceptance of her is a huge point in his favor and the chemistry between them is so hot. The only point of conflict between them was their approach to their assignment. Dreya flies by the seat of her pants while Braden prefers caution, so they need to find a middle ground or their first assignment could also be their last. I have enjoyed every book of Ms. Tyler's I've read so far and this is no different. It builds on the story-line from the first book and I have to say that I can't wait for the next installment especially because of the way this one ended. This is not my favorite book in the series because Dreya and Braden's relationship didn't have the explosive chemistry of others before it, but the suspense and intrigue at the DCO always has me on edge, so it's still a great read overall and I will strongly recommend reading the series in order, to enjoy it. |
This is a great book; this is the sixth book in the X- Ops series written by Paige Tyler. When feline shifter Dreya Clark is escorted from the police interrogation by two secret agents, she thinks she's dodged a bullet. That sexy detective Braden Hayes caught her stealing red-handed. When she finds out what she has to do to stay out of jail, suddenly she's missing the hot cop with the piercing gaze. She's being recruited for her shifter abilities by the Department of Covert Operations. Braden has been chasing the smart-mouthed cat burglar for years. But when Dreya's taken away, he knows their game of cat and mouse has turned deadly-serious. There's no way he'll let her go off alone. Fur flies and temperatures flare as Braden realizes Dreya is much more than she appears. Thrown together on a dangerous covert mission, this unlikely pair will have to rely on each other to make it out alive. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review. |
Her True Match is another great installation in Paige Tyler’s X-Ops series. I truly love this series with it’s mix of spy and black ops type missions entangled with a paranormal shifter world that is different from many of the shifters that we typically read about. In this world, shifters haven’t come out to the majority of humans. They also don’t shift entirely into their animal forms like in most shifter stories. They grow fangs and claws and their eyes will change. They have enhanced senses and some of the personality traits of their other shifter form (like cat shifters that feel the need to get out and hunt, even isn’t the same kind of hunting that a cat would do). In this story, we follow Dreya. She’s a cat shifter and a cat burgler. We met her in the previous book, Her Rogue Alpha, when she stole something very important from a very evil man. She fled the country before he had her killed, but not before others will killed looking for her. She’s now come back to DC and is back in the thieving game. That’s when Detective Braden Hayes actually catches her in the act of stealing something from a very high, hard to access apartment building. He also witnesses some feats that shouldn’t be possible for a human. DCO (Department of Covert Affairs) bails her out, but Detective Hayes won’t let it go and follows them when she leaves. So there’s this storyline of Hayes and Dreya working together to join DCO as a team. They also come together romantically. Hayes has to come to terms with the fact that Dreya isn’t human. He does take to that very well. They go a few missions together before officially signing on. There’s also another storyline that is following Ivy and Landon and their quest to bring down the hybrid research centers. This time, they bring along a coyote shifter named Trevor. Trevor gets himself committed into a mental hospital where the lab is at. He works to gain access to the ward with the hybrids. While in the hospital, he meets a young girl. She’s worried about her friend who was taken into this ward where the hybrid labs are at. This is another great addition to this series. With the two storylines going, there is no shortage of action. It also makes for a great overall story arc for the series. I would recommend starting this series at the beginning because of this series story arc. The hybrid search is a great storyline, but it is also a bit repetitive. Ivy and Landon find a lab, infiltrate the lab, kill or rescue shifters or hybrids, doctors get away, rinse and repeat. It’s a fun story, but we’ve seen similar scenarios in several books now. I do love this series, even if there are a few things that are repetitive. The romance isn’t as strong as some PNR. That isn’t an issue for me, but for people looking for more of the romance and less of the suspense, this story is much stronger on the suspense side of things. I love suspense and lots of action, so that works great for me. I also want to say that the ending of this story changes a lot of things. It will be very interesting to see where Ms. Tyler takes the story from here, because it will not be following the same path that it’s been on. That ending was amazing. Trevor almost followed after the woman when she turned and walked away so he could ask her if it was legal to work in a mental health facility if you hadn’t seen One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. He decided not to bother. Being snarky lost all its appeal if you had to explain it. When she found one she like—a gray shirt with the word Property of the Metro PD across the front—she laughed. A thief wearing a shirt like this should be in the dictionary somewhere under the definition of irony. |
4 of 5 Adult Romance/Paranormal Romance ARC provided for an honest review through NetGalley. Looking for a fast paced “crime fighting” romance with paranormal aspects!? Check this book out. This book packs a detailed plot with fun, out of the world aspects and HOT chemistry! Without giving too much away, this book contains “shapeshifters”. Dreya is able to take on some physical abilities of a cat. She has the balance, swiftness, nails, claws and senses of that of a cat. This helps her break in and steal, something she finds a rush in and enjoys doing. Kudos to Paige. I really enjoyed how she gave Dreya the cat like characteristics and how detailed and believable it was overall. The way Dreya acts and reacts embodies that of a cat so well and seamlessly. Let’s talk about Braden, sexy law enforcement officer, and Dreya. Early on, you can feel the chemistry and tension between them grow. This makes sparks fly, creating an exciting, captivating story. Honestly, I wanted to skip through some parts of the book because I wanted to read Braden and Dreya’s sections. I had to know what was going on with them and looked forward to reading more. I wanted to know if they would get together. If they could be honest with each other. How would Braden act to Dreya’s secret? Are you curious too? Read this book to find out! OMG! This is the sixth book of the series and while it might not be the best book to start this series it is a good starting point. The two main characters are new, they were introduced in the last book but it's not imperative that you read it because they pretty much tell you everything you need to know. Dreya and Braden, smokin' hot!!! Never mind the semi-slow beginning the ending, Oh My Gods! That's it, that's all you are getting about that. The book has an exciting intro and it establishes the characters and then moves to them getting closer and boy is that nice when they finally give into the attraction, Damn girl! Classic case of opposites attract, Dreya has been a cat burgler for years and never been caught; Braden is a detective, burglary unit, and even though he has never found proof he knows every place Dreya has burgled. But now he's caught her red handed and Homeland Security has come to take her into custody. Something in Braden gut tells him something is wrong, he's not far off John Laughlin has been keeping an eye on Dreya for a while and her arrest upped his timetable to bringing her into the DCO. John makes a deal with Dreya she stays for five days and trains and if she makes it and decides not to join the DCO she's free to go slate cleaned no charges, no jail unless she bails before her fives are up then it straight to jail. Braden follows Dreya and next thing he knows he's brought into the fold of the DCO and partnered up with the woman he just arrested not 48 hours before. Braden though he knew everything there was to know Also going on Trevor a coyote shifter joins Ivy and Landon in an undercover mission to find yet another facility making hybrids; this one working with in a psychiatric hospital. Trevor befriends a teenage girl who helps him get into the the locked ward where the shifters and hybrids are located. Thorne once again the man Ivy and Landon are acting as double agents to uncover his dirty deeds, is trying to eliminate competition and even though he sent Ivy and Landon there in the first place sends his own man who just complicates matters. Not even a full five days later and Dreya and Braden have gotten closer than ever and are on their first mission together. But once again Dr. Dick messes with them and it has Braden doubting Dreya. Can Dreya give up the thrill of burglary or will she back to her old tricks again? Overall, OMG this book, shit just hit the fan. I can't wait for the next one. (blog post will go live 3/9/17) |

My Review: Oh wow...that ending on this book?!?! Where does this series go from here? Wow! I'm completely blown away and need the next book NOW!! I never could have predicted that. But it wasn't just the end of this book that made it so good. No, pretty much all of this book was great. I adore the pairing in it. Braden is a cop. The story starts with his backstory and I thought for sure he was going to be the shifter, but nope...that's not his story. He's a regular burglary detective and for years he's been following Dreya without having any luck capturing her. But when he does, she's stolen away from him by FBI agents...something that rubs him wrong...so he follows them. Partly because he doesn't understand their story, but mostly because after all these years following Dreya, he's gotten rather protective of her. Well, the FBI agents were actually DCO agents recruiting Dreya, who's a feline shifter and that's why she's such a good cat burglar. But when they see Braden, a cop, who's automatically that in tune with her, they see an opportunity to recruit him, too. I liked Braden and Dreya as a pairing. I love that they seem to have an automatic connection and Dreya's instincts are already heavily honed. In the midst of their story is another happening at an institution in Maine. It features Trevor, a coyote shifter, in the institution undercover and two teens that get caught up in the whole shifter mess up there. Color me intrigued....I'm DYING for more of all of their stories. I loved everything that was happening up there and all three of those characters. This continues to be a series that I thoroughly enjoy. It's fun and entertaining and suspenseful, and it seems like every book has a new twist. Like I said, I'm ready for the next book today. I'm dying to see how the DCO folks work from here...but no spoilers, so I'll button my lips now. I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review. |

This was by far my favourite X-Ops book for a while. Both Braden and Dreya are complete outsiders to DCO, which I think helped a little bit, because they were outside all the politics and on an even footing when it came to figuring out just what was going on. It made them feel more equal and definitely helped turn them into a great team. I wasn’t too sure I would like Dreya at first, given what we’d seen of her previously and her original reaction to John’s offer of working for them. But she is a cat, so she’s allowed a certain amount of contrariness. And when it came to Braden, her quick acknowledgement of how much she trusted him went a long way to easing most of my fears. Yes, she has moments of stubborn independence, but she’s rarely stupid for the sake of it, so I ended up quite liking her. I liked Braden a lot too. A cop who has played by the rules for years, he also has fine instincts for when things don’t seem quite right, which is how he ends up following Dreya into the DCO. They make an excellent team and I really liked how quickly Braden learnt to respect Dreya’s skills – and how easily he accepts her. He’s pretty amazing that way. They have good chemistry, even if I wasn’t exactly blown away by it. Still, I could believe in them as a couple and see how they could work together. The wider plot worked well too, with some interesting things happening in a mental facility in Maine that definitely kept the mystery and excitement going. It also helped that for the first book in ages, I didn’t end up disliking Ivy intensely, so that was good. However, I have to admit the whole thing with Dick really annoyed me. By now, surely, all the shifters know his MO pretty well and can tell the kind of people he’ll try and charm. So why didn’t they warn Braden about him? All they had to do was mention his links to Thorn and Braden would have known to be on his guard. But no, for some stupid reason, Dreya gets that intel and all the people who have been telling her how important it is to trust her partner, tell her to keep certain things to herself. Braden has proven himself trustworthy, but first they have to, well, trust him. So that annoyed me quite a bit, which is a shame, because the rest of this book is great. Overall this was a fine return from this series, full of secret spy stuff, a fair bit of action and plenty of danger. I just wish certain things hadn’t happened they way they did, because it felt like a triumph of plot over character intelligence. Having said that, with that ending, I cannot wait to see where this series heads next. |
Spotlight, Review & Giveaway: HER TRUE MATCH (X-Ops) by Paige Tyler http://wp.me/p3d0RZ-86t Publication Date: March 7, 2017 Genre: Paranormal Romance Reviewed by: Reading in Pajamas/ Donna Rated 4.5 Stars I enjoyed this installment of the X-Ops series. I knew with Dreya being introduced in the last book, that this would be all about her, and it was. I liked the way you understood why she and Braden behaved the way they did. Well, some things seemed to jump forward, but for the most part, they acted as expected for their characters. They sure made a smoking hot couple that easily moved past sexual and in to a real partnership. The beginning was more about building their relationship and then moved in to non-stop action and danger. A real page-turner that sure didn’t end the way I expected. Good book. *Review copy provided NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. |
Another excellent addition to the paranormal, secret X-Ops series. We’ll continue with ongoing threats and add some new to the mix as well. I must mention up front that this is a series that really needs to be read in order – yes, you can jump in and enjoy the story, but you’ll miss how the teams, the characters got to this point. And that is indeed a very exciting, engaging journey that shouldn’t be missed. In my opinion. Her True Match will reunite us with Dreya who we met in the previous novel. Dreya is a cat burglar, no really she’s a shifter who has no clue exactly what shifters are. She’s spent her entire life with the enhanced senses and abilities of a shifter feeling like she’s a bit crazy. With no guidance on how to deal with her dual personality, she’s not really in tune with her cat – only when those abilities are needed. But it certainly does help with her profession, even if it is on the opposite side of the law. Braden has been on Dreya’s trail for some time now. When he finally gets the minx in his official law abiding hands some secret, so called “Feds” show up to sweep his prize away. No way that’s happening on his case. When he sets out to follow them and figure out exactly what these people are really up to, he’s in for an eye opening surprise. Neither Dreya or Braden ever expected what they discovered about those “Feds” or about what lies just beyond most of our senses or knowledge. There is a completely hidden world of danger, evil and others that should not, but do exist. When they are, let’s say, recruited into the operation, Braden and Dreya will discover not only the bad guys but just how right they are as partners… in more than the official capacity. There are a lot of threads woven throughout this series. Some will move further along, new ones will be introduced. We’ll get the chance to catch up with some old friends and watch a new romantic and profession partnership blossom under dangerous conditions. I have yet to meet a Paige Tyler story, no matter what series, that I didn’t enjoy and love. Her True Match is a fast paced, gripping ride through danger, new knowledge and finding that simply right place in the world – with the one you love, and with people who ‘get’ you and welcome you with open arms. If you are a fan of Romantic Suspense mixed in with a Paranormal Romance and some military operations tossed in as well – then you’ll love this story and this series. I’d highly recommend Her True Match and encourage anyone who is just discovering this series to go back and read the rest. *I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.* |
'Her True Match' by Paige Tyler is book Six in the "X-Ops" series. This is the story of Dreya and Braden. I have not yet read the other books so for me this was a standalone book. Dreya is a cat burglar and doesn't really now about sifters. Braden is a detective that has been trying to pin Dreya down to the crimes she has been committing. When he does get the chance to take her in for a crime she was caught red-handed in she gets taken in by the 'Feds'. But Braden doesn't give up so easily and follows them to see where she is being taken. This starts Dreya and Braden on an adventure. But along the way they seem to start having feelings for each other. Can Dreya trust Braden with her secret? Can Braden get past what Dreya did and is? Wow...this was a really exciting book that was hard to put down. *A Book Obsessed Chicks Review Team Selection* https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/1831318-sissy-s-romance-book-review-for-you https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/A2HX0B5ELOPP5Z?ie=UTF8&ref_=sv_ys_3 https://www.facebook.com/RomanceBookReview https://www.facebook.com/groups/1709181636033417/ http://sissymaereads.blogspot.com/ https://romancebookreviewforyou.wordpress.com/ http://booklikes.com/blog https://www.tumblr.com/blog/romancebookreviewforyoublog https://www.pinterest.com/u2soapsrus/ |
Another great book in this series. I liked the pairing up of Dreya and Braden. The whole opposites attract thing was a great book. The action, as always, was top-notch. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. |
The latest installment in the exciting X-Ops series picks up on the tail of the story before it with a pair I was intrigued by when they were introduced in book five. The cat burglar- emphasis on cat- and the cop. Yeah, that was a fun idea for a romance, but the suspense as the group seeks to track down the evidence against powerful ex-senator Thorne and his cronies added the excitement. This series works best read in order as the X-Ops world is explained earlier and an ongoing suspense thread weaves through each book. Her True Match opens on a few ongoing story threads like Landon and Ivy out in the field while John is directing from the office trying to get the dirt on Thomas Thorne, but Danika and Clayne are there when Dreya Clark, the cat shifter thief from Her Rogue Alpha is back and she gets caught by Detective Braden Hayes. He instinctively knows her every move and he has to stop her, but his instinct flares into action again when Dreya is removed from his custody and he follows. Dreya and Braden are introduced to the clandestine organization of mission teams and the secret of the shifter existence. Dreya must figure out if she can leave behind the high-octane world of crime to work on the side of the good guys while Braden wonders if she can even while needing to be her partner through it all. Meanwhile, another hybrid lab is discovered and Landon, Ivy, and Trevor must infiltrate and rescue the trapped shifters then destroy the lab and capture the scientist. Thorne’s looming shadow at their back keeps them on their toes. Alright, this one had a lot of good elements and I’m still reeling from that finish, but I have to admit that this one was not a big hit with me compared to the earlier books. I think a few things factor into this. For one, there is so much going on and more than one direction to be tugged so that I couldn’t settle into any of the story lines well. I felt that the multiple threads kept things from being developed as they should particularly Dreya and Braden’s story. This is a shame because they really were interesting characters particularly Braden with his cop heritage and history. And, then, the way the labs, the cruel scientists, the crazed hybrids made another predictable appearance- track it down, destroy it, rinse and repeat. I know I made it sound like I didn’t like the story when I did, but I just wanted to share why I wasn’t as into it. Now that said, I want to keep going, meet new X-Ops teams while getting more of all the ones I love. And yowsers, yes, I want to see what the fallout will be after the way this one ended on a bang. This series is a good match for folks who enjoy their paranormal romance set in a black ops thriller world with some spicy passion for its romance pairs. My thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review. |
Police detective Braden has been trying to catch a thief and he has come close a few times, but Dreya is too fast for him. Of course, her being a feline shifter, gives her a big advantage. Dreya's luck runs out so to stay out of jail she makes a deal to be part of a covert operations sting with the X-OPS team. Suspense, action, and romance - this book has it all! |

I'm quite a fan of this authors work as she manages to combine steamy romance with suspense that has an almost military edge. These books about the shifters working within the DCA have had a storyline developing throughout that has so many layers that it's fascinating to read how much of it actually comes to glorious fruition in this book . The thread concerning corrupt politicians and evil medics creating hybrids is well and truly into its stride and as we catch up with old friends we start to discover more about the newest characters recently introduced . So the amazing cat burglar Dreya is our heroine here and she has no idea about shifters when this story starts and truly believes that she's a freak. Dreya recently came under the radar of Thorne when she stole something valuable from him but he's not the only one whose attention she has well and truly snagged! Oh no the stiff , by the book detective Braden Hayes is determined to once and for all get the beautiful but sneaky thief off the streets and in a cell where she belongs . So imagine his shock when two 'feds' turn up and spirit Dreya away! There's something odd going on and acting on instinct Braden sets out to follow but what he finds might mean as a cop he has to bend a few rules! This author gives yet another very exciting instalment that picks up from previous books but moves forward in such a way that it's jaw dropping ! Getting Dreya onboard with the DCA is just the beginning as the author cunningly weaves a subplot involving other agents and more experimentation to create hybrids. Yet it is essentially the romance that drives this book. Braden is a little closed off but cannot deny there's something very tangible between himself and Dreya. Yes they share chemistry but it's the trust that's important here. I won't lie there is a lot going on in this book which starts to pull in an unexpected direction with an ending that will reverberate through the next few books without a doubt. This is definitely a series to read in order and ideal for those who enjoy action, intruige and romance! This voluntary take is of an advance reader arc that Netgalley provided for me and these thoughts are my own opinion |

Her True Match by Paige Tyler was a thrill ride from the first page till the end. Even though I have not read all of this series, I never felt too lost in the story. The fast paced story with Dreya being arrested by Braden and then "saved by the DCO hooked me from the beginning. It was fantastic to watch Dreya become aware that she was not alone and NOT a freak. You could practically see her confidence grow within her. The sparks between Dreya and Braden were hot enough to singe the pages. They made a great team once they were paired by the DCO during Dreya's training. When Braden accepted her just as she was, fangs and claws included, you knew they were going to be one of the best teams. Their first assignment wasn't perfect but they worked together and accomplished it. Their second assignment was a lot more traumatic as it included Dreya seeing first hand what evil was being done to create shifters from normal humans without the DNA strand in their makeup. The ending was just so unexpected that I was totally numb. What? How? Where did they go? I am already excited about the next book and it's going to be hard to wait for it's appearance. |
After a long game of cat-and-mouse Feline shifter Dreya Clark picks the wrong penthouse to rob and ends up arrested by sexy detective Braden Hayes. But Braden isn’t the only one who’s been watching the cat burglar. Agents from the Department of Covert Operations swoop in to offer her a deal. If she wants to stay out of jail, she’ll have to work with them—and pair up with the hot cop. Great. Danger throws this unlikely pair together Braden isn’t thrilled about the DCO meddling in his investigation. He’s been chasing Dreya for years. Thrown together on a dangerous covert mission, fur flies and temperatures flare. But when danger closes in on them, their game of cat and mouse turns deadly-serious, and they’ll have to rely on each other to make it out alive. Dreya is a cat burglar. She has been for the past 10 years and loves every minute of it. She doesn’t do it for the money – she does it so that her feline shifter side gets the rush it needs. Of course she doesn’t know she’s a shifter – she just calls herself a freak. She’d previously stole a huge diamond from an ex-senator and almost got herself killed. She hid for a bit but then came back into DC and was back at thieving only this time Braden Hayes, burglary detective, was there waiting for her. Braden is so excited that he finally has proof that Dreya is a thief. He can’t believe what he’d seen when he was watching her on the monitors but as much as he’s amazed by her he can’t let her get away with stealing. Unfortunately while he’s in the middle of interrogating her 2 federal agents show up and take Dreya away. Braden, not one to give up easily, ends up following them. Dreya is actually being recruited by the DCO and they end up recruiting Braden as well and making them partners. Though she’d been avoiding him for years they trust each other and this makes all the difference when they have to watch each other’s backs. While partners they find that they attraction they’ve had for each other turns to love. They are happy they found each other but a villain of the worst kind may tear them apart. This was a great addition to the X-Ops series. I really liked both Dreya and Braden and thought they made a great team. I loved how Braden didn’t hold Dreya’s past against her and just moved on with life. That’s a good man right there. Dreya and Braden’s story was just part of the book. We also got to read about a facility in Maine where members of the DCO were infiltrating a possible lab that was making hybrid shifters. That was incredibly interesting and exciting while keeping me on the edge of my seat. We also read about ex-Senator Thorn who is on the Committee that runs the DCO and his lackey, Dick Coleman. Those two are a nasty pair and they really showed their evil colors in this story. The book ended with a bang (literally) and it made me want to pick up book seven immediately. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long before we find out what happens next. Rating: 4 out of 5 This will post as a guest review on Book Binge. http://bookbinge.com/ |
Paige Tyler X-OPS Series gets better and better. Now its feline shifter Dreva Clark who takes the spotlight and she take it literally. Dreva Clark put what she is a, to good use and become a cat burglar. But Dreva wasn’t expecting to get caught red handed by the hot and sexy Detective Braden Hayes. With Dreva expecting to be finally sent off to jail two secret agents arrive to save her skin. However, it was under on condition they want her to join their ranks. Braden was hunting Dreva for years. He finally caught her. But when agents arrive to take her away he smiled something not right. He caught Dreva and now she was his. Following to make sure that Dreva was okay, Braden never expected to recruit too. Her True Match was a fast pace covert adventure with the appearance by old friends. Even though this is book #6 in this series it could be read as a stand-alone. But to get the full enjoyment of this fantastic series I will recommend that the series be read in order. |
Dreya has gone from professional cat burglar to feline secret agent in a mere 24 hours. Just when detective Braden Hayes thinks he has finally caught his beautiful burglar red-handed, with the goods and on tape, in waltz the Feds to snap Dreya up and take her away under suspicious circumstances. NOT HAPPENING on Braden’s watch, so he does the one thing that goes against all of the rules, he follows them and gets himself caught up in a world of black ops, shifters and dastardly science experiments. Meanwhile, Dreya must decide to show Braden who and what she really is and hope she won’t disgust him or take back the friendship they are sharing. As they danger mounts, the chemistry boils over as Braden finds he likes his “woman” on the wild side. What will that mean for them? What does it mean for Braden’s career? Will Dreya switch teams and bat for law and order or will she slink back into the shadows of a life of crime? If not, will they give a whole new meaning to the Dynamic Duo? Looks like Dreya has met HER TRUE MATCH in Braden. Author Paige Tyler has another suspenseful and sexy hot tale on her hands that could leave readers panting for more. Her True Match by Paige Tyler is the 6th book in her wonderful X-Ops series. I love this series by Tyler, as she gives us exciting, action packed stories, with wonderful couples. Her True Match was the best one yet, and the wild unexpected ending has us clamoring for the next book…NOW. We met our heroes Dreya and Braden in Her Rogue Alpha. She was a thief that was suspected by the DCO to possibly be a shifter, since her abilities seem too good to be human. Braden, a detective, knows nothing of the DCO, but has become obsessed with following Dreya and catching her during one of her thefts. When he successfully catches and arrests her, he is surprised and upset that a government agency has taken her away from the station. His gut tells him to follow, and in doing so, he too eventually becomes part of the DCO team. Dreya is offered to work for DCO, giving her the chance to learn how to use her abilities and help the team, especially in trying to bring down Thorne, the man who killed her friend. Braden is also offered a job, as DCO feels his detective skills, and his ability to know how to find Dreya, makes them a perfect pair. When he becomes Dreya’s partner the sparks ignite between them. In the short time they are being trained to work together, they are sent on emergency missions that are pulse pounding, but their confidence in each other and the slow build romance creates a bond that will make them awesome together. It was so much fun to see this sexy couple fall in love with each other, making themselves that much more of a cohesive team. Ivy, Landon and Tanner are on assignment to find another lab creating hybrids, and when things begin to fall apart, creating danger, it is Dreya and Branden who will be sent to help them. The mission is exciting and tense, but successful. Just when things seem to be going their way, Braden makes a serious mistake that will throw all of our X-Ops heroes to run for their lives. The ending was a thriller that will leave us holding our breaths at what just happened and praying that Tyler will write the next book fast. I loved both Dreya and Braden together. Loved Ivy, Landon and Tanner, who had big roles in this story line. Her True Match was an edge of your seat suspenseful story that was non stop action throughout. Paige Tyler once again gives us a terrific story that keeps us wondering where she will take us in what could be a game changing next book. |
