Being a fan of Sally’s book The Nourishing Traditions : The Cookbook that Challenges Politically Correct Nutrition and the Diet Dictocrats which happily resides on my kindle as well, I was super thrilled to be chosen to do a review on Nourishing Fats ! I paid for my first book and will do a review for you in the future on that book, but for today we are going to take a look into Nourishing Fats ! Let us lay aside the fact we have been lied to since the early 1900’s about how unhealthy Butter and Animal Meats with fat are so unhealthy for us to the point that were all suffering with ill health and disease ( You can read the history in this book and online ) Let’s take a look at This book as a whole shall we ?
Sally has not missed a thing in this book, history ( I learned a lot ) Your never too old to learn what is good and healthy for you , science and the roles different fats play. You will learn so much ! Where fatty acids come from, where Fat Soluble Vitamins come from and what they do for you ! You will also learn what fats are bad for you and what to avoid to stay healthy. Also what fats your children need to stay healthy. What fats are for mental health ! Why Cholesterol is good for you ! And the best part is the recipes showing you how to use those fats ! I am just totally thrilled ! From Breakfast Smoothies to Cream of Potato Soup with Bacon ( I think Love this book ! ) Dressings to Veggies roasted in Duck fat ! Even Meat to Seafood ! and Desserts too !
