This is a very light overview of Vincent Van Gogh and the places he lived that influenced his art. It is presented as a scrapbook. There are a few pages on each place accompanied with an historical context, letters to Theo, a timeline and illustrations. The book is beautifully presented with lots of illustrations. I enjoyed reading the book. It was a quick read and it was interesting to follow Vincent on his journey. This book would appeal to both armchair travelers and art lovers. Enjoy |
