At first I was genuinely confused about this title, I expected "dad" would be a more relevant character throughout the book but instead he makes his grand entrance towards the final pages. It's not until the end of the book where it really starts to come full circle for me. Dad is an aide in imaginative play, coming to the rescue to fix children's dramatic play costumes and talk about playing nicely. It was nice to see diverse characters in this story as well as a book that was solely dedicated to a paternal character. |
So cute! I admit, I was a bit taken aback when I opened a book about dads and found unicorns on page one. Then I started to see where the book was going and loved it. Adorable and delightful! |

A cute, unique book. Loved the illustrations. Several laugh-out-loud moments that the students at the school will love. I plan to purchase this for my elementary library. Good for K-2. |

Absolutely adorable! Great cast of characters that kids are going to love, casual use of a family of color, love the way we're moving towards talking about dads and their involvement with their kids instead of letting them just do whatever while the mothers raise the kids. Great. |
