I really enjoyed this book, and got very interesting insight to the bourbon making industry. Great chemistry between the leads and fabulous writing.

I am normally very positive in my reviews but for this book I have to make an exception. The writing was pretty good. I also enjoyed the plot and some of the characters. The thing that bothered me was the two main characters Brandon and Lesa. They were one dimensional and bland. Their chemistry was hard to believe because it felt rushed. This book wasn't terrible or anything. It just wasn't amazing.

Bourbon, Tequila, Puerto Vallarta and lots of fun! Dive into this must read and discover a story rich in family tradition, lots of sexy scenes and a hero who will discover love is better the second time around.

I couldn’t finish this book, I like the author’s writing and have enjoyed many of their books before but this one wasn’t one I could get into. I will try again when the author’s next book is released as I am a fan of theirs.

Wow, this was beyond boring. I struggled to make it through this as really no one held my interest. This sounded like a promising premise, but fell far short.

As a reader, I find myself disliking more heroines than heroes. I guess I need them to stand up more for themselves. For every 10 heroines I dislike, I hate 1 hero. Guess who I didn't like in this book. The hero aka Brandon. We didn't get along from the first page. He seemed too anal and boring to me. Even after I read the whole book and got to know him better, I can't say that I like him. He is the reason I didn't like the book. To be honest when I think of this story he is the first thing that pops into my mind and that's not a good thing. I would have liked the book if Brandon was a little different. I liked the plot line, pretty much every other character I met and the book had potential. Lesa was a good heroine and I liked her. I got her reasoning and I felt sorry for her when I saw what her father wanted her to do.

A Shot With You is the 2nd book in the Bourbon Brothers series. I had not read the first before reading this one but I had no problems being able to follow along. This book did get off to a bit of a slow start for me, especially for a romance novel. The first several chapters were setting the characters up so you got to "know" them, but I would have liked to see more going on before about half way (or more) through the book.

Brandon Morgan works for his family's bourbon brand in Kentucky and is currently on vacation in Mexico. Not too keen on going on the fun cruise excursions, he instead books a tour to a tequila distillery. He is going for work - he thinks that if he sells his bourbon barrels to the distillery they can use them to make their tequila and it is a win win situation. When he arrives, his tour is led by the owner's daughter, Lesa, and it seems like both are interested in each other at first sight.
After chatting (and almost kissing), Brandon ends up missing his bus back to the cruise ship. Lesa and her cousin offer to drive him back but first he talks to her father about his business plan. As luck would have it, Papa decides to send Lesa to Kentucky to check out the Bourbon company and see if making the deal is a good idea. What's also a good idea - Brandon and Lesa get some more time together to see where their relationship goes, if anywhere.

Brandon had been burned in the past by a former girlfriend, so he is hesitant to rush into anything - especially with someone who may be involved with his business. But Lesa is just too irresistible. Lesa isn't sure she wants anything to happen with Brandon either, even though there is a mutual attraction. She only wants to help the tequila business get back on its feet so she can travel the world. Alone.

But the two can't resist each other forever! (Although it did kind of seem like they would for a while there!) I did really enjoy this book, even though it did get off to a rocky start for me and I wasn't sure if I was going to push through or give up on it. I am glad that I didn't give up on it because I did like the story and the characters.

I received a free e-copy of this book in order to write this review. I was not otherwise compensated.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of the book provided by Entangled Publishing and the author. Thank you so much for the reviewing opportunity!

Actual stars: 3.5 stars

I preferred deep and intense romance, but on occasion, I do binge read on clean and straightforward ones. This book definitely satisfied my need for cute and funny romance. However, as much as I did enjoyed the entire book, the starting was a little too slow for me and I ended up putting it aside more times than I could count, and then there's the instant attraction thing.

With that aside, this is actually a pretty well-written story. Lesa and Brandon's romance was more of slow burn and not a raging wildfire but that was a refreshing change in my opinion. And the humor had me laughing out loud! Brandon's dedication to work was admirable and Lesa passion for freedom mimicked my own, so these characters are as real as they can get.

If you are looking for a book to curl up with, this is the perfect read for the night. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of the book provided by Entangled Publishing and the author. Thank you so much for the reviewing opportunity!

This was so much fun!! Brandon and Lesa are complete opposites - he's a workaholic and she's just looking for a fling and to move on. I really enjoyed this book - the humor, the story and the romance!

There isn't a lot for me to say about this one. I really liked Teri Anne Stanley's writing, but I just found the main characters to be a little.... boring, I guess. Other than a great ass, I don't really see what Lesa sees in Brandon. He's a nice enough guy, but he's just a standard garden-variety workaholic who doesn't seem to have any other interests.
Lesa was a little bit more interesting, but ultimately not quite enough to save this one for me. It was bad, just a little bland.

Super fun read!! A Shot with You is the second in the Bourbon Brothers series but can be read as a stand alone. I loved the pairing of Brandon & Lesa. The author created two fun & interesting characters. I also loved how detailed the setting was- I was born & raised near KY & spent many summers visiting the area. Teri Anne Stanley captured its beauty wonderfully

I look forward to reading the first book in the Bourbon Brothers series & more by Teri Anne Stanley.

A Shot with You by Teri Anne Stanley is a quick, enjoyable read that will leave you smiling, repeatedly. The story itself is light-hearted, witty, and well-written. The characters are likable and the romance is a slow-burn. The author did a great job showing the connection between the characters and making me love them. Bourbon and Tequila go amazing together, in this fun read!

What a fun, lite-hearted, thoroughly enjoyable story! I loved the sneak peek into the world of liquor manufacturing and learning more about the state of Kentucky. This is a story that will transport you to a world where family means everything and love runs deep. If you are looking to get lost in a sweet story, I highly recommend A Shot With You!

My ranking: 4 1/2 Stars

This was a new author to me so wasn't sure about the writing style. I am so glad I gave this story a chance. The witty banter was funny and pulled it together. Perfectly paced pulling you in from the start. Had a great ending to an already great story.

A Shot With You is the second book in Bourbon Brother series and tells the story of middle brother Brandon as he travels to Mexico on a cruise. He takes a tour of a Tequila operation, and meets Lesa the daughter of the owner. Her distillery is in crises and he has experience because his family owns a bourbon distillery. Brandon proposes a business solution and soon he has literally missed the boat. He and Lesa begin to negotiate a professional and personal relationship, and wonderfully romantic novel is born. I liked the mix of both the Mexican and American spirits industry and was very happy with how the characters developed. If you like a sweet contemporary romance featuring an across the border romance, this is the book for you!

**3.5 Stars**

Brandon's family owns an award winning bourbon distillery and though he's on vacation, albeit a forced one, he eagerly avoids one of the planned events and attends a tequila tour instead. Ack, he's liquor cheating. LOL Okay, so he is checking out the competition, which technically means he's working, but the tequila isn't the only thing that's captured his interest while there.

Lesa is fulfilling a promise made to her Mom before she died by assisting her Dad at the family's tequileria. As she's leading one of the tours, a man catches her eye, causing her to lose focus on anything that doesn't include him.

Lesa convinces Brandon to try tequila, something he hasn't drank in years, and he has to admit it is quite tasty. So much so that he misses his bus the next day, but instead of rushing to try and make it, he and Lesa are making the trip together so she can tour his company's business in return. As Brandon is always looking for ways to increase profits, he proposes an arrangement involving his company's barrels and her company's tequila. Sounds like alcohol bliss, right?

But first, Brandon has to convince Lesa to sell her Dad on the idea that this is how they can save her family's business. Lesa can't resist getting her hopes up, knowing this could be the answer to her dilemma as well, namely that she wants to explore the world, writing a book about her travels, which she can't due to her family obligations.

What happens when Brandon and Lesa find it difficult to fight their attraction to one another? How will they handle the connection steadily growing between them when each has the mistaken belief of what their ideal partner should be? Can both businesses profit from this arrangement? Will Lesa attain her dream? Will Brandon realize that being a workaholic is not the only way to live? Will these two get a HEA or are they destined to go their separate ways?

One-click now and follow along as two people, both living for their respective family business, realize that to truly live, they each need to take a shot.

This is a sweet stand alone story even though it is part of a series. It is a great story to read over a cold winter weekend. Great characters that leave you wanting to read more from the author.

Awesome Romantic Comedy
This book had me laughing from the get go, what an awesome way to start a romantic comedy!
While on a cruise at Puerto Vallarta's port, Brandon Morgan decided he'd pass on the “high adventure" of ski-surfing he’d signed up for. It didn't matter that he'd already pre-paid for it, it was NOT appealing to him, he'd rather get dental work done without anesthesia! So he decided to take a tequila tour instead, but he'd *skip the tequila tasting—yech—and have bourbon. No cactus water for him*(direct book quote). Since he found the latest Blue Mountain Bourbon, Dangerous Dave’s Eight Ball as he purchased it and another ticket for the tequila tour. Although he was on vacation, *as one of the sons of a prize-winning bourbon distilling family, sniffing samples of tequila and touring a distillery was work. It was market research and checking out the competition, and he loved it *(direct book quote).
Lesa was helping her father out as she'd promised her mother before she died, giving tasting tours of her family's tequileria. Although she didn't think this was going to be enough to help dig them out of their financial hole, what they needed was a major overhaul of the business. Lesa knew her family’s tequila was the best in all of Mexico. Within this tour was an American that when she looked at him she forgot everything she was supposed to say. When their eyes met, something passed between them. Although she had no idea what it was, she could tell he felt it too. Lesa has dreams of writing a book about her travels around the world.
Brendan's primary purpose is to increase Blue Mountain Bourbon’s profits, his family makes the best bourbon in Kentucky. After she convinces him to taste tequila— which he hasn't done since college, he missed the tour bus. Instead of being raced to the port to catch his bus they're being taken to the airport so Lesa can get an on hands look at the Morgan family business. He wants to expand using his barrels and their tequila would be a match made in heaven. Can Brandon convince Lesa to tell her father this is a good deal, all while keeping his hands off of her? Can Lesa convince her father this is the deal they need to help their business, so she can go live her dream? However can she keep her hands to herself? You'll have to read A SHOT WITH YOU to find out, but oh my!!! What an intriguingly hot and sexy romance. When it's the right cove is hot she heavy, but is it the permanent choice or just right now? ~ I received an ARC via Tasty Book Tours through NetGalley in exchange for an honest blog tour review.

5 Reasons to Read A Shot with You

I absolutely adore this series. I’ve never been to Kentucky, or tasted bourbon, but these books make me want to do both.

This book takes place in multiple areas. The big ones are Kentucky and Mexico.
What is better than a book with a bourbon distillery…. A tequila distillery. Not a huge tequila fan, but the way the drinks are described make me want to drink it again.
Lesa and Brandon are fun! They have off the charts chemistry, and don’t try to hide their attraction.
Both have moments when they realize maybe what they thought they wanted isn’t the case anymore….
I think my favorite thing is they can laugh together over awkward moments. And you can’t help laughing with them.

A Shot with You is a quick read, and has quite a few swoony and steamy moments. We even see a few of our favorite characters from Drunk on You. You can’t go wrong with bourbon or tequila to drink while you flip through the pages.
