The story of the Wilde family has captured me from the very first book Montana Cherries. The back story of these children and how they are coping as adults makes for a very captivating read. I have read all three books so far and have to say I have loved them all! I cannot pick a favorite. In this book Montana Mornings it follows oldest son Gabe Wilde and his young daughter Jenna's struggles to overcome their current situation. When Jenna's teacher is none other than Gabe's college girlfriend things become even stickier in dealing with those situations. This book had complex characters, they are well developed and you actually feel their pain and their happiness. Do yourself a favor and buy all of these books and read them! That way you can be like the rest of us anxiously awaiting the next story of the Wilde's of Birch Bay. “I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.” |
This has been a fantastic series, and this book is no exception. If you've read the entire series, then you'll know what Gabe has been through with his soon-to-be ex-wife, as well as other parts of his life. If you haven't read the previous books, you're in for some shocking revelations about how people can treat others, and even their own children. Gabe and his daughter, as well as Erica, have all experienced horrible treatment at the hands of others. Hopefully they'll all be able to learn how to accept their new lives, and the wonderful people in it. This is a wonderful story about heartbreak, struggles, changes, second chances, love, and it will definitely steal your heart. I knew that Gabe's story would be an emotional roller-coaster, especially concerning his daughter, but this went beyond what I was expecting, and it was an excellent story. It is a highly entertaining book, and one that you won't want to miss. Although each book can be read as a stand alone, I would suggest that you start from the beginning. It is not necessary, but you will learn more about Gabe and Michelle's marriage, the complications that he has been involved with over the last few years, and his relationship with his daughter prior to the separation. Most of this is revealed in this book, but you'll get to experience it first hand by reading the previous one's. I promise you won't be disappointed. I strongly recommend this book, series, and great author! I have voluntarily reviewed this arc I received from the publisher via NetGalley. |

This series and I have a problem. Three books in and there’s not been a single heroine that I like. I’m also struggling with the fact that all mothers – apart from the main couples – are terrible. I’ve read plenty of Kim Law books in the past, and thoroughly enjoyed them, yet somehow I’ve only ever read one from each series before. This is the first time I’ve read more than one and I’m finding it a touch repetitive. Although on the surface Erica is nothing like Dani from Montana Cherries (and nor is Gabe like Ben), the two stories share a lot of similarities, except Erica doesn’t have anywhere near as good an excuse as Dani for some of the things she does. I had problems liking Erica. There wasn’t anything specific that I could put my finger on at first, except for being frustrated with things between her and her ex-husband. She seems nice enough and is good with kids, even if I think the way she always assumes she knows better than Gabe when it comes to his daughter, because she’s a super amazing award winning teacher, was arrogant and rude. Yes, Jenna has issues and no, Gabe doesn’t always handle them well, but Erica knows nothing about their life. I wasn’t particularly fond of Gabe at times either, to be honest. He has plenty of issues of his own that he’s not really working through, and he does neglect Jenna a bit, but he is trying. When the two of them are on good terms they’re adorable together, and I did appreciate that Jenna is struggling and the way that played out. I also liked seeing the Wilde family come together, especially when Gabe finally lets them in. It was great to see Gloria step forward at last. Mostly, despite there being lovely touches in the relationship between Erica and Gabe – I loved their early morning chats and there’s definitely plenty of chemistry between them – by the end I didn’t think they really belonged together. The way the conflict arises, and the way it was resolved, left me annoyed rather than relieved. As with Montana Cherries, I was left feeling that Gabe and particularly Jenna deserved better. Which isn’t a recurring theme that I like coming up in romance. I think I’ll have to wait and see what the next book is about – I’m guessing Cord, but I’m not yet sure which woman he’ll be with – before I decide whether or not to continue with this series. |

A wonderful title about two people who can find their way back to each other and deserve a second chance with each other! So well written and very easy to read--I loved the opportunity of having read this book as an advance prior to publication. A happy and most satisfying read--thank you again! |
I have been waiting to learn more about Gabe's story since he was first introduced and I was not disappointed. Kim writes Gabe's character so well. He is trying to be a good Dad, but he isn't perfect and at times is nowhere close, and that makes him in some ways even more likable. Erica on the other hand sometimes comes off as a little too perfect but is also exactly what Gabe and Emma need. This is a well written story about the struggle of a Dad trying to figure out how to be a Dad and help his daughter live in a world with a broken family he isn't able to fix and also a second chance romance. Fans of Kim Law will love this book and anyone who is looking for a story with heart will want to pick this book up as well. |

Another entertaining tale about the Wilde family; this time about Gabe. Can't wait for Cord's book. I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review. |
Montana Mornings is Gabe's story. The book I was anxiously awaiting. It is the third book in this series and I have to say is probably my favorite. Gabe Wilde has taken his daughter Jenna and moved back to Birch Bay. He has left Michelle, his wife and California behind to make a new life for himself and his daughter. He has got a job as a high school teacher, he coaches the football team. He bought a house and is determined to make this work. His daughter Jenna is having a hard time. The once sweet and easy going child is now argumentative and hard to get along with most days, and then flip a switch and she shows signs of her old self. Gabe is doing all he can do to help her adjust to their new life but wonders is it enough. Is he enough? Erica Bird is a second grade teacher in Birch Bay. She left her job and family in a hurried decision to get away from her ex husband all that goes with him. He humiliated her in front of her whole town with her best friend and she just can't seem to get past it. Hoping this new place and new job will help her she up and left and took this job knowing it would not be a permanent position. Gabe brings Jenna to school on her first day and is shocked to learn that her new teacher is his long ago girlfriend from college. Jenna's teacher is just as shocked. Erica notices right from the start that Jenna is having issues, and vows to do her best to help her. Shortly after it is discovered that Gabe and Erica are neighbors now as well. They become friends all over again and both admit to deeper feelings but are not sure the timing is right. They decide to go ahead and through it all Erica is helping as much as she can with Jenna and things are good. Gabe is at work and gets a phone call from Michelle. This causes major upheaval for all concerned. This book is a romance by Kim Law but as per her usual she touches on other heart-wrenching subjects as well. The turmoil of Gabe's daughter in this story is heartbreaking, and to see a mom put a family through what they go through makes you want to reach into the pages and shake her. But Gabe's family, the Wilde's he has a wonderful support system. They have all learned and grown together since the start how to unify and help one another. Erica goes through her own "dark" period throughout this but she comes back as a much stronger person for Gabe and herself because of it. I recommend this book whole heartedly, but I do suggest starting with the first book in the series so you can be familiar with how it all came to be. It will give you a much better picture of all the characters involved and how they got to this point, especially Gabe and his daughter Jenna. I thank Kim Law for giving Gabe his HEA, this guy deserved it and earned it. When this book releases I will be buying my own copy of it for sure. “I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.” |
Second chances. We are lucky to get them! Gabe and Erica are both extricating themselves from less that perfect marriages. They are looking to heal, they find each other and realize sometimes you have to go through the pain in order to find what you deserve. It was a stunning story. |

I like how the story developed among the characters. I appreciated how the author dealt with the angst of a young girl. This is a story about how we cannot predict how our choices will turn out. I have the read the series now to see how Gabe have grown. You can read this book in a day. It is a quick and enjoyable read. I enjoyed this book, but I was hoping for just a bit more from it. I spent the majority of the book being frustrated with Gabe. I loved Erica, and I loved the ending! |

The next installment in the Montana Cherries series is just as sweet and hot as the ones that preceded it. You won’t want to miss this if you enjoyed the series so far. It takes us back to Birch Bay where Gabe Wilde has settled with his daughter Jenna and has become a science teacher. He left the family orchard and went to the city to save his marriage – that was a colossal failure which was about to be remedied. All he wanted was to start over and give his daughter a stable life with family around her who actually loved her. He’d wasted too much time trying to do what every expected of him and now he was doing what he wanted. But Jenna wasn’t going to make it easy for him. The poor girl didn’t know why her mother didn’t want or love her so she reacted the only way she knew how – by acting out and getting attention. It’s what her mother did and it seemed to work for her. Erica Bird had to get away from her ex and her parents and live her own life. She knew she did but quitting her job and taking a short term substitute position in Birch Bay wasn’t exactly what she planned. Now she just had to make the most of it and take life as it came. Jenna Wilde wasn’t in her plan but the minute she met her, she knew the child needed love and a little discipline. When Erica finds out that Gabe, her college boyfriend, is the girl’s father, she begins to wonder if she’s gotten in too deep with a student. Gabe’s soon to be ex doesn’t help things when she tries to interfere. Tough challenges ahead for both of them that will either make or break their futures. I received an ARC from the author for an honest and unbiased review. No compensation was promised or received in exchange for the review. |
good book...had a great beginning but as i progressed into the book, it became slower and more difficult to read. i was happy with the ending, but expected more from the book. |

This was an amazing story that held me captivated from the first page. Book 3 of the The Wildes of Birch Bay series can easily be read standalone although we have read about Gabe in prior books. This book gives us his whole story and it's an emotional ride you don't want to miss. Gabe and his young daughter Jenna are back in Birch Bay. After giving his marriage everything he had he knows it's time to start over. Not only for his sake but for his daughters as well. Jenna is struggling with the changes and Gabe has a meeting with her new teacher. Little does he know that Erica Bird, an old college girlfriend is that teacher. Erica is struggling with demons from her past as well. Will these two be willing to act on the newly developing feelings or will they hold back their hearts in fear of being hurt again?? This book is filled with all the emotions you look for in a good romance. Don't miss it. I highly recommend it to everyone. |
This story was a nice addition to the Wilde family saga. We get to follow Gabe Wilde as he returns home with his daughter after a failed marriage and with a new career as teacher and coach. As he and his daughter struggle with their new life, Gabe reunites with Erica, his college girlfriend and daughter's new teacher. Erica is also struggling with life after a very public failure of her own marriage. Like the first two books, this latest is also an emotional, painful journey from disfunctional upbringing to HEA. Well worth the read! |
Montana Morning by Kim Law......Loving this series and this book is as amazing as the other two. Kim Law as away of hitting all the emotion buttons and keeps you flipping pages. Gabe and Erica both have issues they need to work through, but I enjoyed watching the story unfold. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. |
Montana Mornings, by Kim Law, is the third book in The Wildes of Birch Bay series. This series is absolutely amazing, each novel focusing on a member of the Wilde family. Even though this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone novel. However, I would strongly recommend reading the first two books in the series, Montana Cherries and Montana Rescue. Gabe Wilde apears in the previous books, and reading them will give you the insight into Gabe and Jenna's story and how they ended up where they are in this current installment. Gabe Wilde is going through a lot of changes in his life. He has just left California, and his soon to be ex-wife, Michelle. He has returned to his hometown of Birch Bay, Montana, with his daughter, Jenna. Gabe is trying to start over, including a new career as a high school teacher and football coach. More importantly, he is trying to do right by his daughter, but that is easier said than done. Jenna has been difficult lately, and Gabe is at a loss on how to deal with her constant tantrums and mood swings that are a result of the divorce. To make matters even more complicated, Jenna's new second grade teacher, Erica Bird, just happens to be Gabe's college girfriend and also his new neighbor. Erica Bird has also just relocated to Birch Bay, and will be teaching second grade as a substitute teacher. She left her hometown and the teaching job that she loved in order to start over. Like Gabe, she has her own set of personal problems that she is trying to deal with. Her ex-husband not only cheated on her, but he did it with a close friend of Erica's, and to make matters even worse, he got her pregnant. Even with everything her ex put her through two years ago, she still can't seem to let him go. Determined to try to move on, she focuses on her new teaching job. Her experience as a teacher helps her to recognize when a student is having problems. In this case, this only leads to more complications, becuse the student is Jenna Wilde. Kim Law is an amazingly detailed storyteller, that always offers great insight into the emotions of her characters! The story that unfolds is extremely well written and thoroughly engaging. The relationship between Gabe and Erica gets off to a rocky start, but through it all, they both have only the best intentions for Jenna. It is completely obvious that the chemistry is still there, and you can't help but to want to see these two people finally find the happiness they both deserve. Family plays a huge part in this story...both Gabe's family, as well as Erica's. I love the focus on the children in the story, and felt the author did a great job in the way she handled dealing with the problems Jenna is facing. I also enjoyed that the characters from her previous books in the series are also a part of this story because you are able to find out what they are up to as well. Kim Law knows exacty when to be serious with her writing, and when to inject humor into the story. Her writing style will make you feel as if you know the characters, and her realistic views on every day problems always make the story easy to relate to. Overall, this is just a wonderfully written, heartwarming, and realistic book that focuses on family, relationships, and children. I honestly can't stress just how good this book truly is, and also the previous two books in this series! You will not be disappointed! I am looking forward to the next book in the series, which I am hoping will be the story about Gabe's brother, Cord. I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review. |
Gabe Wilder is back in Birch Bay with his daughter sans wife. The divorce s finally going through and they can move on in their new life. Erica Bird is also moving on with life hired at the school for one semester he takes the coolest apartment and tries to move her life along. She is not expecting to have the Gabe Wiilder's daughter in her class or to wake up one morning and he is moving across the street. This cannot be good they have a past and it did not end well. She needs to get her ex to leave her alone and he needs to straighten out his daughter. They decide to take it slow and see where things go. This is my favorite book in the Wilder series. I really loved the way the characters mesh together and also seeing the changes in the old characters. ** I received this book in exchange for an honest review** |
I had read book 2 of this series, and was looking forward to Gabe Wilde’s story. There were moments I liked it very much, others that I felt it dragged a tad, and then at times I just wanted to shake Gabe and Erica. The basis of the story is that Erica is in Birch Bay working as substitute elementary school teacher and one of her students is the daughter of Gabe, her college boyfriend. Both have issues. Erica has been divorced 2 years but still is in contact with her cheating husband. While Gabe is trying to finalize his divorce to a greedy and devious woman. In the midst of it all, he is also dealing with a daughter who is now constantly misbehaving and troubled. The book not only highlights the effects of divorce not only for the adults and children, but that our experiences we have as children will mold us as adults. A complex subject in which there is lots of hurt and usually are no winners. Thought provoking to say the least. I was gifted this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own. |

I adore Kim Law as an author. She is almost an auto-buy for me. However, I found this book to be really slow and a tad dull. It was a little long and while it was well-written, the story did not flow for me. This will not stop me from buying other books. No author is perfect. This was a large miss for me. |
