The man that wrote beautiful songs that we all know, was living a double life. His hits kept getting awards while his personal life spiraled downward at a very fast pace. He writes very well but the story is depressing.

Enjoyed reading about Mr. Webb's experiences in the music industry but not a fan of the writing style.

What a great book'; what an amazing life he's lead.
Jimmy Webb writing style is down home country witty at times, and quite sophisticated at others.

I'm ashamed to admit I've never paid much attention to who a songwriter was; I will in the future.

I loved the 60's and 70's; I loved remembering them so vividly with the pictures Mr. Webb provided me.

We knew how to get our protest on and we had the most inspirational music in those decades.

As far as drug use goes, I was right there too and enjoyed remembering what that aspect was like too.

Now I'm "been there, done that, won't do it again, but I sure had a good time when I did". And yes, if you were affluent enough some bizarre things happened.

It is definitely a book that I would have on my "must have" list.
