***5 ‘Untamed and Beautifully Innocent’ Stars***

I loved Rough & Tumble (Book 1 in the series), the romance was smexy as hell and I the need to get to know the men of the Brotherhood and those they call their own better had me wanting to dive into Wild & Sweet sooner rather than later and I wasn’t disappointed. The romance was just as smexy, but with a touch of sweet that had me swooning and the need to sidle up to the brothers and find out just what makes them tick has been kicked up exponentially.

Zeke’s life could have gone in a very different direction had it not been for Jace and Axel’s interference and subsequent offer of joining Haven and has never looked backed. This man is all kinds smexy, determined, cocky alpha male without the asshattery, has the patience of a saint an iron clad code of honor and a compassionate heart which makes him all kinds of swoon worthy - panty melting goodness.

The trauma and fallout from a situation that occurred when Gabrielle, aka Gabe, was a young girl has sent her on a path where she has constructed walls so high that not only keep people out, but has trapped her inside her own tumultuous head. It’s funny, normally I’d be at my wits end with a character like Gabe no matter the events of that character’s past, horrible to admit, but true regardless, but that wasn’t the case here. I had my fair share of frustration with her where I wanted to Gibbs smack her, but despite her issues she is a sweet woman with a heart of gold that’s a bit bruised but not broken who does want to live, but doesn’t trust herself to let go. Her journey was a large part of what held my interest throughout the book and I really like where she was at in the end.

While there is insta attraction between Zeke and Gabe, their road to their HEA is a slow, sweet one with a lot of smexyness woven into it. The bumps in it aren’t surprising given Gabe’s frame of mind, but I loved how the were worked through with Zeke leading the way. His patience and honesty brought out Gabe’s true nature which in turn actually gave him an anchor that he never knew he needed. Their interactions were a bit awkward to start, but I loved how they grew more comfortable with each other in every way and though they do have a blowout, the end result brings them to a solid starting point for both of them and how they want their futures to be intertwined.

As always, the writing was engaging and the 3rd person POV was done very well. My one issue comes with the pacing and more specifically with the suspense aspect of the story. I loved that it didn’t overtake Zeke and Gabe’s budding relationship, that it was a true secondary storyline, but even though I figure things out long before the ending, I do wish it had been a little more present in the story. It took awhile to finally get to that moment where the pieces come together and then the resolution was, not rushed, but quick in the big scheme of things. It’s not a bad thing, I just wish we’d gotten a little more out of it. I loved getting to know Danny better and I’m really hoping we see more of April as the series progresses. As for the rest of the brothers and their family, I loved spending more time with them and wish I could be apart of their family. Axel is still my fav, but Knox is a very, very close second with Beckett not far behind, though after one particular scene Trevor is very much on my radar, so bring on Claim & Protect!

I was wooed by this one - wooed hard. I can’t believe this whole band of brothers hasn’t been part of my life until recently. Wild & Sweet is book two in Rhenna Morgan’s Haven Brotherhood series, and it just keeps getting better and better!

Gabrielle, also known as Gabe, looks after her neighborhood’s elderly community. She’s looking in on someone when Gabe walks into a break-in and gets hurt. She calls her brother, Danny, not expecting the whole of the Haven Brotherhood to come knocking at her door. Or to find herself under the watchful gaze of a man who makes her want to live again.

Zeke works long, hard hours as a doctor and when a recruit for the brotherhood needs his help, he jumps in. His patient is the guarded, Gabe, and he’s startled by the protective instincts she evokes in him. Before he knows it, Zeke’s risking the Brotherhood’s secrets and falling for a wild, sweet woman he’d do anything to protect.

”I love movies and romance, but I’m a realist. Passion like that doesn’t exist. Doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the fantasy.”

I wanted to be Gabe’s best friend. First off, she’s a mechanic. How fun and unique and awesome is that? But she also has crippling social anxiety. Gabe doesn’t have friends beside the elderly folks around her, and she lets her fears hold her back until she meets Zeke.

Gabe’s comfort zone is wearing plaid shirts and jeans and hiding behind cars. Zeke, however, challenges her to step outside her self-imposed box and live. Part of this is calling to the woman inside of Gabe, allowing her a safe place to reveal herself one inch at a time.

From the start, Zeke sees through Gabe’s walls and likens her to a feral gatinha (kitten). Side note: he speaks Portuguese (hell, yes!). This guy is a worker, but he always makes time to burrow further and further beneath Gabe’s skin until she can stand on her own. I just love how when these Haven brothers fall for a woman, they pull out all the stops.

“Under normal circumstances, he could out-wait the most stubborn patient, but standing there in front of her, an almost lethal tension burned through his muscles. Like his whole damned life teetered on the tip of a fiber-optic point and could topple into hell or float to heaven depending on how she answered.”

And, ladies: get this. Gabe cooks Zeke and her brother dinner one night, and instead of Zeke following Gabe’s orders to make a plate and dig in...he waits until Gabe fills her plate and eats first. First!

Yep, I swooned. Bonus: there’s also kinky sex. You know, in case you’re still wavering on reading this one.

Wild & Sweet offered a whirlwind of emotion - I laughed and cried, I was riddled with anxiety and fear. I fell so hard for every one of these characters, and days later, I’m still living in their world. I’m in awe of how Rhenna can intertwine such a personal journey and add the romance so seamlessly. This is by far my favorite read of 2017.

I think you are like a feral kitten. One who´s hungry and has a bowl of cream right in front of her, but can´t quite decide if she wants to lick it up, or hiss and hightail it back into the woods.

To hear the sweet, easy cadence of her voice while she chattered about places she wanted to visit and movies she liked to watch. To watch her while she did simple things like cook for her neighbors, or maybe while she worked on her art.

The sexy Haven Brotherhood alphas are back in Wild & Sweet.

Brothers by choice, the Haven Brotherhood is a group of men bonded by life circumstances. They will do what it takes to keep each other and the ones they love safe. Following their own moral code, they don't always stick to the laws of society but make their own path to justice.

This time Zeke, doctor by trade, falls for the complex little mechanic that stumbles into his life.

Zeke is uber alpha while Gabe is an introvert, loving her privacy and flying below the radar. She doesn't understand what Zeke sees in her but Zeke is persistent in his pursuit and whittles away her carefully constructed walls.

Everything is great between them until Zeke feels its necessary to take on the real estate group that is pushing to grab land in Gabe's neighborhood.

Zeke is a swoon worthy hero that will melt your heart.

Gabe might like to go unnoticed, she still knows how to stand up for what she believes in.

Wild & Sweet touches your heart, emotionally connects you to the characters all the while making you smile and swoon. What more could you ask for in a contemporary romance.

I received this ARC copy of Wild & Sweet from Carina Press. This is my honest and voluntary review. Wild & Sweet is set for publication April 1, 2017.

Wild & Sweet by Rhenna Morgan is the 2nd book in her wonderful sexy Haven Brotherhood series. Having enjoyed the first book in this series, Rough & Tumble, I could not wait to start this book, and I have to say this was equally as good as the first book.

Gabe Parker, our heroine, is a shy introvert, who works as a mechanic. Gabe lives with her brother, Danny, whom we met in the first book of this series. When Gabe comes home after work, she sees something by her next door neighbor, who is away. When she goes to investigate, she is attacked by an intruder.

Enter Zeke Dugan, our hero, who is also one the men in the Haven Brotherhood that we met previously. Zeke is a trauma doctor, and he is with Danny when the call comes from Gabe for help. Zeke finds himself attracted to the shy Gabe, but being Danny’s sister, he tries to avoid any entanglements. Since Gabe doesn’t like hospitals, it will be Zeke who will treat her for her broken ribs, and he becomes very protective of her. Gabe suffers from social anxiety attacks, and though she has a hard time trusting anyone, in a short time, she begins to feel more comfortable with Zeke. When she sees the men of the Brotherhood, she worries about Danny, and feels that Zeke couldn’t possibly be interested in her, especially since she is a lowly mechanic. But Zeke is falling hard for the beautiful and sweet, Gabe, and his protective instincts have him noticing that something is wrong around the neighborhood, with realtors wanting to buy and owners moving out.

His concerns will bring, Jace, Axel and the rest of the Brotherhood to investigate what is happening. Gabe gets to meet them all, including Viv (our previous heroine) and the two mothers of the group. While this is going on, Danny is elevated to become a full fledged member of the Haven Brotherhood.

Gabe, though being shy, always does things by the book, including following the law. She becomes concerned that Danny might be getting over his head, and when she discusses this with Zeke, he explains that they will do anything to protect their own, but they try to stay within the law. This will scare Gabe, even when she knows she has fallen in love with Zeke. When her life is in danger, it will be the Brotherhood who will come to her rescue, and Gabe will need to rethink her views.

I loved Gabe and Zeke, as well as the rest of the guys in the brotherhood, and the ladies. The romance between Gabe and Zeke was as the title says, Wild and Sweet. Zeke was so perfect for the shy Gabe, and their chemistry was off the wall. The mystery and suspense within this beautiful romance was exciting and emotional. The secondary characters are all so great; I cannot wait for their stories in the future books. Rhenna Morgan as done it again with another wonderful addition to this fabulous series, which was a fantastic ride to the finish. I suggest you start with Rough & Tumble, and become invested into the Haven Brotherhood.

A second in then Haven Brotherhood series and Wild and Sweet doesn't pull any punches, it's a great addition and we're introduced to sexy Zeke Dugan, a trauma Doctor and a member of the Haven Brotherhood. He's part of the Haven family now and he's also very handy when they've needed his professional help.
Gabrielle Parker is an unconventional girl, she doesn't have much in social skills, she's happiest working on an engine with a wrench in her hand, and she's good at it.
Life's good at the moment until she returns home one evening and disturbs someone breaking in, and she is hurt. Zeke, your friendly trauma Dr. checks her injuries and decides that's not going to happen again and the mystery of who's terrorizing the neighbourhood begins.
I really liked Zeke, he wasn't the usual club type member, I wasn't alway's sure how he'd react to situations. And Gabe had problems but was determined to move on the best she could.
A really exciting, action packed adventure story, developed well with intrigue and intense suspense.
A great story, I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

I really tried to get into this book. It started out interesting but disintegrated fast for me. I could not connect with the storyline or the characters. For some reason the bunch of hot guys came across as young adults trying to act like grown-ups. I ended up skipping a lot of pages. I think the book/series would be attractive to a YA/NA reader but it just wasn't for me. I was bored trying to get through it.

Aye, I am loving this series and these Haven Brotherhood!! Rhenna Morgan is running full steam ahead.

This story we get the up close and personal of Zeke and Gabe. Gabe is Danny's sister. Danny isn't in the brotherhood yet, but close enough. Zeke, freaking Zeke... panty dropping trauma doc who is as compassionate, protective and alpha, as he is smoking hot. Gabe is a mechanic. I love this girl.
She doesn't like to be around people. Along the course of her life she's developed Social Anxiety Disorder. She is at her best when she's alone, or in the company of those she knows; which leaves us with Danny. Their father died two years before, so she and Danny live together in their family home.
She and Zeke meet when she's injured when she goes to check on the neighbors house and an intruder knocks her down hard. Refusing the hospital, Danny calls Zeke. After much coaxing, she allows him to check her.
Zeke is attracted to Gabe, she's innocent and her innocence in the story is endearing and feels very real. As does his caring for her. We get to see the rest of the Brothers as well, and the "Mom's" I love Ninnie. These woman have such sass, not to mention their baking skills.
The plot in this book is that the neighborhood (prime real estate) Danny and Gabe live in seem to have too many odd incidences and the neighbors are slowly being coaxed out of their homes, one way or another. Zeke feels there is something more behind it than coincidence and wants the Brothers to take on the look to check things out. Plus his concern for Gabe. She's alone at home a lot.
I loved this story, I loved watching Gabe open up to others and to Zeke. This book moved a little slower than the previous, but it still worked for me and necessary to the story development.
I'm truly taken with the characters in the Brotherhood. They're all different, and they make you want to see more of them. Their stories are yet to be told. I can't wait for the next book!

Great book Rhenna! I loved it. 4.5 stars

4 1/2 stars.......

Wow, Rhenna Morgan can certainly get your pulse racing and the blood pumping when she puts pen to paper. My only regret is these books don’t go straight to print, as they definitely deserve a place of honour on my bookshelf.

A fabulous sequel, Wild & Sweet continues to reveal the pasts of this group of exceptional men who call themselves The Brotherhood. Zeke and Gabrielle’s story is every bit as gritty, passionate and explosive as its predecessor, and readers who wait for this authors next release with bated breath, will not be disappointed.

I have such a soft spot for brotherhood series. I love the camaraderie between Zeke and his chosen family. I’ve always enjoyed series that include all the same characters but each book focuses on certain individuals. If you haven’t read the first in the Haven Brotherhood series, that’s okay because each book can be read as a standalone.

Gabrielle (aka Gabe) is our leading lady in this story. Personally, I adored her character. She suffers from a mental illness and this plays a huge part in the story. I’ve read very few books that have included mental illness into the plot and done such a good job at portraying it. I know from first hand experience that suffering from anxiety is no walk in the park. Your thoughts are all consuming and fear rules you. I absolutely loved how we as readers got to see Gabe grow as a person. She started off as a scared woman, unsocial and afraid of getting close to people in fear of them leaving her.

Zeke doesn’t want to change Gabe in any way, he adores her just as she is. He helps guide her to self discovery and pushes her out of her comfort zone. You can tell that Zeke really cares for Gabe, so much so that she is frightened that her past will repeat itself.

I enjoyed reading Wild & Sweet. There was just the right amount of romance, steamy scenes, action and character development. Take all of these things and wrap them together and it makes for a well written novel and a highly enjoyable read!

The Haven Brotherhood, a group who knows what a tough life can be, family by choice, always having each others backs and willing to obliterate the rules to do the right thing. Rhenna Morgan is back with WILD AND SWEET the perfect title as another of the brothers finds what he wants and is willing to go through anything to hang on tight.

He’s a trauma doctor by calling, but he is a Brother by choice. Zeke is a healer, but when he meets the severely introverted Gabrielle and discovers the timid, tender and broken side of her, he will destroy anyone or anything that threatens her. Now all he has to do is prove he is the real deal, a man she can trust not to hurt her, a man who will be there through thick and thin. It won’t be easy, Gabrielle has been hurt in the past, left behind, betrayed and is convinced it must be her fault, yet standing in front of her is a man who sees all that is beautiful about her. Is it a dream? Is he blind to the truth as she sees it?

Gabe is more comfortable under the hood of a car than in the presence of people. She is a recluse who hides away within the safety of her home, but is her last sanctuary from the world becoming a battle field for danger? An unknown enemy is terrorizing the picture perfect neighborhood she lives in and Gabe is determined to find a way to fight back as neighbors are threatened, their homes vandalized. Zeke is just as determined to keep her safe and the Haven Brotherhood is at his side. Will this alpha man who is always in hyper-drive be able to convince Gabe the world will be a better place with her in his protective arms? Will it take the ultimate sacrifice to prove his love is just for her?

I can honestly say I have NEVER met a doctor quite like Zeke, the ultimate alpha with a heart and a great bedside manner! He goes above and beyond to give Gabe what she needs and to help her re-join the human race, and the Brotherhood is right by his side. A group of bad boys with soft and gooey insides.

Grab the smelling salts because this steamy, yet sweet romance WILL make you swoon as the doctor prescribes just the right touch to ignite the passion that is buried deep within Gabrielle. Rhenna Morgan’s bad boys are NOT knuckle draggers, they are brilliant, successful men who have made it in spite of their backgrounds and the pheromones are running hot! Great reading, great characters, tense action and romance, so what are you waiting for?

Holy smokes was this ever a good book! I wouldn't read it until I read the first one and I'm glad I did not read it as a stand alone. It's just nice to be in on some of the background. I liked Zeke in the first book and I'm glad he was the 2nd one to get a book. I read somewhere that this story was "panty melting" and I totally agree. I love the dominant alpha male who will protect his woman. It's just really sexy. I also love this series so far in that the guys are all hot, smart, but really down to earth. I like that they don't flaunt their wealth. I think the whole club scene is part of the fantasy of this series. This book is a little bit unusual in that it IS a bit dark and gritty, a bit of a romantic suspense, but I see potential of bringing a little BDSM into Axel's story. I can't really identify with Gabrielle, but I like that the author tried to being in some understanding of social anxiety. She's not perfect, she is real and Zeke liked her for who she was. I think all the things that Zeke did for his dates with Gabe were really romantic. The story kept going with the mystery of who was involved with the development company. The character development is coming along with all of the characters. This book definitely focused on Zeke (since it was his story), but the first book gave him a good introduction. Who can resist a hot doctor? I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a HEA story.

Wild & Sweet by Rhenna Morgan
The Haven Brotherhood #2

Sweet, sweet S W E E T read…with a whole lot of Wild ;)

I loved the first book in the series and could not wait to read the second AND now I can’t wait to read the third…wonder just how long I will have to wait? There were two then eventually six and by the end of this book seven men in the Haven Brotherhood. What is the Brotherhood? It is a group of men who have chosen one another to be brothers of the heart – not necessarily of the blood. They are there for one another no matter what. If there is a problem – they will find a solution. If the solution is within the gray area of legality – they still just might go there BUT they never hurt innocents and anyone claimed by a brother will be protected. I love the premise, the brothers and so far both of the books.

Haven brother Dr. Zeke Dugan, Emergency Room medical doctor and adrenaline junkie has just come off a shift when his friend Danny’s sister calls – there is a problem – she has been hurt. Danny, Zeke and a few of the brothers head off to see what is what. Gabrielle Parker is leery of strangers and has quite a few questions after having her injury treated. Well, questions are and are not easy to answer and she is not the only one doing some questioning. Zeke has been poleaxed by this latest meet-up with Gabrielle. It takes him a bit of time to come to terms with his feelings but then he is all in and the story takes off with activities, dates, meeting of brotherhood members and more. Add into the plot some nefarious and deadly characters, and things get a wee bit tense for a chapter or so. By the end all is well, a new brother has been added and a woman has been claimed. I am EAGER to see which man finds his woman next! I kind of wonder if Gabrielle’s new friend might end up with one of the guys or if she was just there to become a friend of Gabrielle’s.

Did I like the book? Yes
Will you like the book? I definitely think you will
How was Zeke as a book boyfriend? Dreamy
What did I think of Gabrielle? She was unique, a fighter and willing to grow
Do I want to read more in the series? No doubt about it – I do indeed

Thank you to NetGalleyl and Carina Press for the ARC. This is my honest review.

Gritty, Raw, Sexy, Emotional and most of all WILD & SWEET! Zeke & Gabe knocked me off my reading game hard. This novel was so not what I expected in the BEST ways possible, and I may or may not have a helluva book hangover from this one!

Wild & Sweet is book #2 in the Haven Brotherhood series. Having just finished book 1, Rough & Tumble, I thought I had a great understanding on these men and their family. WRONG, all those things I thought times 200 and even then I'm just scratching the surface to learn the depths of their loyalty, love and commitment to theirs.

Gabe the heroin was everything I needed right now. She is so unlike other characters and really stood out for me. The author did a fantastic job with her internal monologue and the realness of her was spot on! Pair her with a guy like Zeke and I was punch drunk in love. His patience and understanding was endearing and the opposite of everything I thought an adrenaline seeking guy like him could or would ever be!

This is a fantastic additional to this highly addicting series, and I can't wait to read the other guys stories. I can't wait for Axel to eat his words and find a lass to whip him into shape!

*Side-note I pegged Zeke to be my BBF from the minute he was live in R&T but Knox be a heavy contender, here's hoping I'm right!

There were some hot sex scenes in this story. She has some social issues that impede her life, that he helps her with, and she wants to because of him. At times I really felt for her. The hero was patient with her quirks and just the things he did for her were quite nice.I fell a little for him. Her suspicions and mistrust started to wear on me after a while. Grey is a color that needs to be seen. This was a good read, even though at times I wanted to shake the heroine for her black and white views. Once they work through their issues, they get their HEA.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Wild and sweet was fantastic read. Such a page turner with intense plot combined with great characters and beautiful love story. I loved both Zeke and Gabe. Both so different but perfect together. I loved how their relationship develops how with Zeke Gabe starts to open herself to the world. It is also great to see when Gabe finally accepts Zeke and his big family. Their chemistry is off the charts and they have some really hot action.
Great story. Recommended!
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

Another great story about the "Haven Brotherhood".

This was Zeke's story. I love Zeke. He seems the most level headed of the group. Even though he mentions "the potential for anger" in him he never lets it loose. Gabe has a lot of issues with being uncomfortable around people to the point of panic attacks. Zeke's great with Gabe and patient with her quirks. He seemed to be able to read her well and help her if she was uncomfortable.

As with the last book I still don't quite understand the almost hostility of the other guys when someone finds their girl to love. I get they work in shades of gray but seriously. It's a bit overkill. It's not like Zeke wanted to bring some bimbo home. It's weird.

I also really disliked that it was never explained just what happened to Gabe to cause her issues. It is mentioned several times something awful happened to her with the kids at school when she was twelve but what? WHAT?! And it glosses over some of her previous sexual encounters that left her with problems of feeling inadequate but what? I needed more.

Aside from that and the bit of weirdness between the guys it was a really great book. It had it all: action, drama, suspense, danger and heat. I can't wait for the next book.

Wild and Sweet is book two in the Haven Brotherhood series by Rhenna Morgan. The brotherhood is a group of six men who all have troubled pasts in one way or another. They have come together and formed a family of their own choosing, six brothers who would lay down their lives for one another if necessary. They give each other support, love, a brotherhood that cannot be broken. They follow their own moral code, which may at times be outside of the lines in regards to the laws we are governed by.

This book was gritty, sexy and just what I was looking forward. I really enjoy this authors writing and can't wait for more from this series and these guys!

LOVED Zeke and Gabrielle together. She had issues - yes - and for a while I thought it was going to make the story suffer, but instead his handling of them made his character really shine. It was a deeper connection than most romance you read lately, sweet and sexy and totally engaging. I enjoyed both books in this series so far, and am very excited to see more by this author!

4.5 Stars Fantastic sequel to the Brotherhood series. The brotherhood is a group men with pasts and book 2 tells the tale of Zeke and I can tell you this will be one series I hope goes to print so I can put it on my shelf and read it over and over again
