Another awesome story by Rachel Lacey from the town of Haven. This time we don't have strangers who fall in love. We don't have to worry about an ex stalking our heroine to the point she is afraid for her own life. Not this time. This time Emma can not only stand up for herself, but can pretty much handle whomever comes along, though most people consider her the sweet, tame, harmless, boring girl next door.

Emma has grown tired and weary of being only half of who she is-afraid to really live. Now that Gabby has found Ethan, she is bound and determined to spread her wings this year since change is upon her, whether she likes it or not. First thing she is going to do, liven up her dating life by flirting with the bad boys and if that means doing the wild thing on the back of a motorcycle, well as long as it is Ryan's, she is all for it. Ryan is who she has been crushing on since she her hormones began firing into her system and by Lacey's description, I think you'll understand why.

Complex character, Ryan is the typical bad boy growing up with a heroin addicted mother who died leaving him and brother Trent in the hands of a system which often fails to meet the true needs of the children placed in its care. Ryan was lucky as were Ethan and Mike. Their bond, which Lacey does a great job of showing how deeply the three care for one another, is unbreakable and cemented in an understanding of love, brotherhood and forged in a battle few of us can understand.

This book was just as authentic and steamy as the first if not better.

CRAZY FOR YOU is book #2 in Rachel Lacey's Risking It All series. It is another winner with Ms Lacey's signature style romances filled with sassy heroines and sexy swoon worthy heroes to fall in love with.
I love the best friend's little sister with a crush trope. Ryan is a reformed bad boy who promised Emma's brother that he would watch out for Emma while he was overseas, but sadly her brother never returned. It's been over ten years since the promise and Emma has grown from a young pesky teen with a long time crush to the sweet woman that she is now, the one he thinks of all the time. You have to give Ryan props for honoring his friend's promise. Being the stubborn blockheaded male that he is, he is ignoring the fact that Emma is a grown-up now. And she wants to stop being so good, and explore some of her wild side--with him.
It's quite a ride watching Ryan come to grips with his feelings. There is a part of him that doesn't think he is worthy of Emma. Being a foster child, he had a rough time. Now he is not only exploring possibilities with Emma, he is reconnecting with a younger half-brother he hasn't seen since he was eleven.
All in all, this is a fun and flirty romance filled with a lot of heart. Emma is a great heroine with her own dreams while also having Ryan's back. The chemistry between them sizzles and I love the banter between them. Ryan is a good guy with some doubts and fears to resolve so that he doesn't lose the best thing in his life. You will also laugh along with the secondary characters in the story, good friends who share the life they have in Haven, North Carolina.

Emma Rush and Ryan Blake have known each other since their childhood. Ryan was Emma's brothers best friend, and has always had a bit of a crush on her. However he refuses to act on his crush due to his promise to her brother to watch over her while he was overseas in the military. When her brother is killed in action, he decides that he will never be able to act on those feelings. Emma has always been the good girl, the one that everyone can always count on. But lately she has been a bit lonely and decides that she wants to take a walk on the wild side. She decides that Ryan is the perfect person to help her out. But will she be able to get him to break the promise that he made to her brother?

Crazy for You has a little bit of everything in it - it will make you smile, cry a little, fan a bit because of the steam, and sigh when the story is over. This is just a sweet, simple romance with a tried and true premise but it is the perfect book to get lost in for the weekend.

I love this story as I got more into it. Wondering what would happen next. The struggles Emma has to go through and where Ryan is always by her side and still faces his own. Friends and family means a lot to both.

Oh how I loved Emma and Ryan! I love a good friends to lovers book and Crazy for You is full of flirty, sexy, adventure and fun.

Emma and Ryan have known each other for years. Ryan was Emma's brother Derek's best friend and she can hardly remember a time that Ryan wasn't in her life. Ryan made a promise to always watch over Emma for Derek. And when Derek didn't come home from his last mission in Afghanistan, Ryan really felt like it was his place to be Emma's protector. But when was it was Emma stopped being the little tomboy that followed them around like a little puppy and turned into this sexy woman that was flirty with him at the bar?

Emma is tired of living a "boring" life. So when her friend dare her to step out of her comfort zone and flirt with the first guy to wipe the ketchup they placed on her cheek, away, she never expected it to the Ryan. And why not try and flirt with the sexy friend of her brother. She'd had a crush on him for as long as she can remember and he was the total opposite of any guy she had ever dated in the past. But can she convince Ryan to take a chance on them and step out of this ridiculous promise he made her brother years ago?

Emma is full of fire and ready to challenge Ryan. And Ryan is sweet and honorable and just as turned on my the aspect of being with Emma. These two together are fun and hot and everything you look for in a good hero/heroine in a book. There banter is free and flirty since they've known each other all their lives and the taboo of being with your brother's friend give the book the right kind of spice to make you giddy at their evolution of becoming more than friends.

Although this book is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. I will definitely be going back and reading the rest in the series and can't wait for book four!

Ryan and Emma were childhood friends. Ryan was Emma’s brother’s best friend who swore to protect and keep his hands off her when his friend enlisted. Emma’s brother never made it back home. Emma’s always loved Ryan, but has grown weary of trying to make him really see her. She’s working at a landscape architecture firm and finally in a position where she can pursue her dream of going to college. Ryan was a foster kid who grew up separate from his younger brother. He and two friends from foster care long ago formed their own family and now own an adventure business together. Emma and Ryan see each other constantly and eventually give in and decide that they can’t fight their attraction anymore.

This is a cute romance with a host of characters who are relatable and supportive of one another. Emma is the quintessential good girl, and as Emma's friend Mandy said, "Ryan Blake is a sheep in wolf's clothing. He's a gentleman at heart." Who wouldn't want a sexy sorta bad guy, who's really just a sweetheart with muscles? A relationship between Ryan and Emma is a no-brainer and their path to HEA is a nice way to spend a few hours.

I received an ARC of this book, via Net Galley, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I really liked and enjoyed this book. Really a great series so far, super hooked and can't wait for more.

This is officially book two in the Risk it All series but because of a novella that hooks you in, I consider it story number three. Rachel did another spectacular job at building dynamic characters that make you feel as though they are family. Watching both Emma and Ryan grow in this book made me very proud. They have been best friends since they were pretty young, Ryan was a friend of Emma’s brother. When Emma’s brother went to war he promised to keep Emma safe and to not hook up with her. They managed to keep their relationship platonic for a long time. However when Ryan comes home to work with his buddies he realizes the best friend he left behind has grown into a beautiful woman. Men, so clueless!

I liked Emma and Ryan they are such good friends and have a real closeness neither want to lose. I thought Rachel did a great job bringing the friendship these two have to the forefront. They knew so much about each other and Ryan has been traveling all over, even though they don’t say it outright it makes you think they kept in touch letters, email, etc. It is funny that Emma wants Ryan to help her be bad when all Ryan keeps trying to do is be good. The two complement each other well though, through in a fun family/friend group and you can’t go wrong.

Crazy For You can be read as a standalone but I do recommend you read all the books to become immersed in Haven, NC. So don’t wait any longer, grab this series NOW. Find that reading spot and start enjoying Rachel Lacy’s Risk it All series. Who knows you might get some ideas for your bucket list, I know I did!

Emma and Ryan have know each other a long time, but what Ryan didn't know was that Emma wanted to be with him and as an adult why couldn't they? There's an attraction that can't be denied but Ryan isn't sure he should act and break a promise to Emma's brother. Can Emma and Ryan make it work before Emma leaves for Georgia or will Ryan mess it up and ruin the friendship they once had? Rachel you did a great job with this one. The build up to what may happen with Ryan and Emma is well thought out. Your writing flows with anticipation to keep reading. A must read.

CRAZY FOR YOU is my favorite story in this series so far! There is a very cozy feeling to this series with the small town setting and the close knit group of friends. This book encompasses all that by bringing a friends to lovers trope and mixing it with a best friends sister. Ryan is known as a bad boy. His best friend, and Emma’s brother, died years ago while serving in the military and Ryan has never felt comfortable looking at Emma in any way as a woman. Her teenage crush on him, however, pushes her to take a bet from her friends to live on the wild side for a bit before moving away from town. Ryan just fits that bill.

I love friends to lovers stories and you could tell there was a great connection between Emma and Ryan from the very beginning. They’ve grown up around each other and care for each other deeply. Seeing their feelings change, allowing for their physical attraction to come into play was a lot of fun.

While their romance is growing, both characters are also dealing with changes in their personal lives. Ryan finding his brother and Emma figuring out what she wants out of her career and where she wants her life to take her. Ryan is the more stable and comfortable with where he’s at in life and she still has to get to that point.

The setting and friendships are such a crucial part of this story, and that’s one of my favorite things. You really feel the connection between this group and the situations they face seem realistic and relevant.

Sweet, fun and adorable. This book was a breeze to read and had the right amount of teasing for the next novel. I cannot wait for it!

Lately, I have been looking for a fun contemporary romance that could just suck me in from the beginning. Sweet and sexy MC’s full of sass and just the right amount of swagger. Rachel Lacey certainly delivered in Crazy for You.

We have our reformed bad boy, Ryan, who swore to his best friend over a decade ago that he would never go after said best bud’s little sister, Emma. But when his best friend doesn’t come home from Afghanistan, the years change both Ryan and Emma. Ryan is no longer the messed up teen he was back then and Emma...well Emma is not a gangly 15-year-old anymore.

I adored how the author was able to highlight how different it is starting a relationship with someone you have so much history with as opposed to someone that only knows what you look like on the outside. No stories from your past. Simple. Uncomplicated. Until you have to share said stories. With Ryan and Emma, outside of a few hiccups with awkward transitions from friends within in their group to a couple within their group, they are just comfortable.

It was also nice to see the proverbial shoe on the other foot where the man-doth-protest-too-much instead. Ryan was dead set on keeping Emma out of his arms and his heart and well...you’ll see how well that works out. Emma was a likeable character. She was feisty and watching her take on that first dare and all the escapades that followed might have given me the kick in the butt that I’ve been looking for to make my own FUN anti-good-girl-to-do list. Now, Ryan...le swoooon! Tattoos? Check. Motorcycle? Check. Rough and tumble on the outside, but gooey sweet center on the inside? Check! Check!

Five stars to Crazy for You! Already bought the Risking it All short story, Rock for You and once I gobble that up, Run to You will follow soon after.

Crazy for You has so many things I just love – friends-to-lovers, best friend’s sister, good girl/bad boy … that’s just a start 🙂 We’ve already seen the first book in this series, Run to You (and I’ll have a review up for it soon!) and Lacey just keeps getting better with this trio of troubled heroes!

Emma and Ryan are so adorable together. Even while they spend a good part of the book trying to convince themselves that their friends-with-benefits relationship hasn’t turned into something more! Years of knowing one another, plus the bond of losing their families at a young age, give them a special understanding of each other. And it’s so delightful to see Ryan help step out of her comfort zone while she helps keep him guessing on where they’ll go next.

While the trouble that comes to this relationship isn’t surprising, it’s the falling in love part that will capture readers’ hearts. Lacey does an amazing job of keeping the characters’ interactions fun and the feels coming from the beginning all the way to the wonderfully delightful epilogue.

Emma Rush is looking for a little excitement in her life before she pursues her dreams of going to college. On a dare from her close friends, she decides to flirt with the town bad boy, Ryan Blake, and accept a ride on his motorcycle. Ryan has always had a thing for Emma but made a promise to her older brother that she was off-limits and plans to keep that promise even though her brother never made it back from military. The only thing is that Emma has definite plans to walk on the wild side and the more time that she spends with Ryan, she may find that they both have feelings that can’t be ignored for long.

Emma was a sweet character that had big dreams and felt that she needed some more excitement in her life. She always had a crush on Ryan and the feelings were mutual but neither of them ever acted on them. The chemistry between these two characters was amazing and you could see that they were destined to be together.

Crazy for You was lovely light-hearted romance and I fell in love with Emma and Ryan’s story. This is the second book in the Risking It All series and I love Ms. Lacey’s writing style for this series. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series to see who is next to get their happy ending.

Ryan Blake returns to Haven NC to join his buddies at Off the Grid, their adventure park. Until things pick up at the park he does some bar tending to maintain his home and living habits.
Emma Rush has always been in love with Ryan. So one night while out with the girls she is dared to flirt with him. She breaks down and tells him all about the dare and that she wants to lose her good girl image. Next thing she knows she is dating Ryan.
Due to a promise Ryan made to Emma's brother he is hesitant to admit he has feelings and wants a relationship, but life knows the truth.

Crazy for You is about finding out who you are. Sometimes you think things are the way its suppose to be, but what if there is a possibility for more? And what if that "more" is with your brother's best friend?

This read was great! Easily one of my new favorites!

3 stars

Crazy For You is the story of Emma, who is sick of being the good girl and wants to try out being the bad girl for awhile. She decided to flirt with her brother's best friend, Ryan. Ryan, being the goody he is, has always kept his sights away from Emma. She is after all his best friend's sister and there is a bro code about that!

The, for me, was a short and very sweet story. There was no real drama or craziness that caused any conflict. It was pure and sweet romance.

I didn't read the first book in this series (not even knowing this was a series), and it worked fine for me. It can be read as a standalone of you wanted to.

Crazy for You had one of my favorite tropes - the best friends little sister -- only there was a little bit more to the story than that.

Emma's decided to try something different with her life, she wants to let loose and explore her wild side, find a bad boy, get a tattoo, do something crazy. And she's decided that she knows just who to seek help with it too, Ryan, her brothers best friend. Emma has had a crush on him for years, and now she knows he's just the bad boy to help her out.

Despite the chemistry between them and the sparks flying, Ryan knows one thing - he swore to Emma's brother that he would take care of her and he knows he wouldn't approve of Ryan becoming involved with Emma. Too bad there's such a pull and Ryan can't find it in himself to stay away.

Crazy for You was superbly written, grabbing my attention and sucking me back into the world of Haven, GA and its inhabitants. The relationship between Emma and Ryan was interesting, from the initial resistance on Ryan's part to their mutual arrangement to their friendship growing into so much more. I loved watching as these two figured it all out, their emotions running alongside with mine as I read their story made it more relatable.

I look forward to reading the next book in this series and seeing how it all works out for the next couple in Haven.
