I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!

Jennifer hit this one out of the park! Into the net? Insert-awesome-sports-metaphor-here.

Olivia and Ben met almost as soon as the book began, and I love when that happens. Their, shall we say, unique platonic relationship was certainly put to the test under the strains of their attraction, and Jennifer wrote this just beautifully. I was eagerly turning the pages to see how these two would finally get together!

What I love the most about Jennifer's books, this one absolutely included, is she really writes smart characters. I could actually envision Olivia doing the things she did and Ben saying things he did. Olivia's own unique personal "quest" was one that I've never read in a romance novel before, and again, I was GLUED to the pages to see where that went as well.

If you like a smart, emotional, pulls-you-in-and-won't-let-go-until-the-last-page contemporary romance, THIS IS YOUR BOOK!!! It's another reminder of why Jennifer is, hands-down, one of my all-time favorite authors!

(I received a copy of this book in consideration of an honest review)

This is the second book in this series by this author and can be read as a stand alone read. This is a fun and heart warming story. You will fall in love with the characters as you read. This book has it all good characters, lots of chemistry, a few laughs and a fantastic story line. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.
Highly recommended

I haven't read the previous stories in the series, but fortunately this story can be read as a standalone and you won't feel lost. YAY! Oh my gosh Maybe This Love was pretty good. Seriously, Ben could had me eating out of his hand; he's that lovable. Talk melting a girls heart. Ben did something stupid, he got married while drunk and now he's trying to get out of the marriage. That's pretty much the easy part trying to convince his ex-wife's lawyer to go out with him is another story.

Okay, Ben has his player image that kind hinders any action with Olivia, so he ups his game through the story. Seriously, I fell in love with the guy and he was popping ovaries left and right. Once the player persona is taken away, he's an amazing guy. Olivia is one tough cookie. She has to be, if she's helping her clients eat their despicable ex-husbands balls for dinner. However, with an extra boost of hormones and Ben's charm she stands no chance.

Honestly, I enjoyed Maybe This Love. Totally fell in love with Ben. I mean he could have run to the hills when he found out what Olivia was trying to do, but that connection was too powerful. Watching Ben trying to win a ballbuster like Olivia was pretty sweet. I mean Ben relies a lot on his charm, that he truly had to up his game which cause ovary popping in Olivia. Overall, a pretty good read, and I think I might have to add the previous books from the series.

Lately I have been enjoying hockey romance book so of course I just couldn't wait to read Maybe This Love by Jennifer Snow.

This is book 2 in the Colorado Ice series but you don't have to read the first book because the series can be read as stand- alones.

I very much enjoyed Maybe This Love. I found it fun and quick to read. I read this in one afternoon because I just enjoyed the story so much.

I give this 4 out of 5

A sexy and sweet sports romance that had me longing for my very own hockey player! OMG I swear, Jennifer Snow writes incredible romances. Enough sparks fly between Olivia and Ben to start some SERIOUS fireworks and oh boy, every moment they spend together had me smiling and happy to turn the pages. Ben is one sexy, cocky hockey player with a pantie dropping smile and a sinfully seductive attitude that was both infuriating and irresistible. And Olivia she is my kind of gal! She knows what she wants out of life and she is smart, sassy, and knows that sometimes love is worth changing the course of things sometimes.

I want to to just STARE at this gorgeous cover ALL day long. On top of that we have great characters, a perfect plot and delicious HOT sex! Maybe This Love gets an IRRESISTIBLE FIVE SHOOTING STARS! If you love a good sports romance with plenty of heat and sweetness this is the book for you!

My favorite of the series so far! I started reading Maybe This Love on the subway one day, and I just couldn't stop--even for work! The chemistry between Ben and Olivia is tangible and for that reason, their story is addictive. There is so much more to Ben than I could have imagined based on the glimpses of him in the first two books, and I really, really liked what I saw. And Olivia, she's spunky, and I admire her for going after what she wants. I sincerely appreciated the fact that the drama with Olivia's client was minimal, and generally, Maybe This Love was a light-hearted and fun romance! I only wish there was an epilogue because I was a bit unsatisfied with the brief reunion, but I'm still more excited than ever to continue on with this series!

Jennifer Snow’s MAYBE THIS LOVE is an excellent addition to the Colorado Ice series. Colorado Avalanche Captain, Ben Westmore, ends up needing a lawyer after a weekend in Vegas. He finds himself attracted to the opposing counsel, Olivia Davis. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult audiences.

We met both Ben and Olivia in book one, MAYBE THIS TIME. Ben is Jackson’s brother, and Olivia was Abby’s lawyer. I found how the two met amusing. They both were hurt in previous relationships and are leery of commitment.

I like Ben. I felt bad for what happened to him with Janelle. I can see how it would have messed with him to make the stupid mistake that he made. It doesn’t help that all this happens when his team is making a run for the cup, and he has been criticized for choking in previous playoffs. There is a lot of pressure of him. He has an amazing family. Olivia is a great character. She is a successful lawyer, but she lacks confidence socially. Her parents died when she was young, and she longs for a family.

I enjoyed the plot. The story was believable and well laid out. I like how Ben was adaptable on their dates. He is very creative and thoughtful. I also, appreciated how Ben handles things with Brandon. I love that Olivia gets along great with Ben’s family. There are a lot of funny scenes. I especially found the episode with the police officer amusing. MAYBE THIS LOVE had a great ending. I’m looking forward to Owen’s story in the next book of the series, MAYBE THIS SUMMER. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Maybe This Love is the second book in the Colorado Ice series but can be read as a standalone although the characters are interconnected. This book started off really strong for me and I loved the way that Ben and Olivia meet. Ben is the captain of the Colorado Avalanche hockey team and when he got really drunk in Vegas he ended up married. He doesn't remember it or the woman he married and wants a divorce as soon as possible. Olivia is a divorce attorney who is representing Ben's soon to be ex-wife and has a rule against dating athletes.

I loved the first time they meet in the parking lot and the instant attraction they both feel. It was different and although the chemistry is clearly there they are on opposing sides. Not to mention Ben is supposedly a player. This is where I started to have a few difficulties and maybe his "player" status is clearly defined in the first book which I didn't read but other than getting a lot of phone calls from various women we don't really ever see Ben as a player. Although the book tells us he is I never really felt it and so when the heroine had some major trust issues with him I didn't really sympathize with her or understand it.

I wish Olivia's character was a bit more fleshed out as well. She is written as a very successful and competent lawyer although within days of meeting Ben she makes some decisions that just boggle my mind as a professional. (view spoiler). She is also going through artificial insemination to have a baby but even Olivia isn't clear on why she is doing this so the reader is never clear on why. Is it because she lost her family at an early age and is trying to replace them? Is it because she is lonely? Or does she truly desire to have a baby? Even by the end of the book I wasn't sure. She has a very demanding job, no friends or family so having a baby with no support system seemed a bit odd for someone who is all about control and being safe (which I got from her character).

Although Olivia is 36 years old she sometimes make's some immature decisions and I just couldn't buy her being so upset towards the end. (view spoiler) I did enjoy the hockey story line and the secondary characters especially Ben's mother. So while I enjoyed the story the questions I had with the characters that were never resolved has me giving this book 3 stars.

I completely adored the first two books in this Jennifer Snow series and was so looking forward to reading this one. Unfortunately, this one didn't work for me at all. The storyline seemed a little...preposterous? And very unethical. And I was immediately put off by that. As more of the story unfolded - I felt like things got worse, not better - in a way that had me wondering what the heck was wrong with these people - with the possible exception of Ben who was sort of impossible not to like even as everyone around him wasn't...particularly likeable.

I struggled with Olivia a lot - both as an individual and in her relationship with Ben. Everything seemed to move very quickly and...maybe just a little too neatly. In the end, I found myself skimming in order to move myself through the story faster and ultimately decided not to finish. I didn't really like anyone enough - to feel invested on how things resolved in the end.

This was a disappointment - it felt like a wrong turn after a couple of completely wonderful books. I definitely will be back for more from this author (and may just circle back to this one again in a couple of weeks to make sure it wasn't just my current state of mind driving my feelings on this book) but for now, this one just didn't work for me.

Maybe This Love by Jennifer Snow was a nice surprise. It was a sweet and charming story with just a touch angst. It also had two very likeable characters and a story that will intrigue you.

Ben Westmore is on his way to a championship and it should be the only thing on his mind. But a drunken night in Vegas is coming back to haunt him. Though he is always careful how he treats his body, four months ago he had one too many and apparently got married.

Olivia Davis has dedicated her life to her career and has been very successful at it. But she is ready for more. She is ready to start a family, even if it means doing it on her own. The last thing she needs is to be distracted by the likes of Ben Westmore.

I really liked Olivia. She was strong, confident and independent. She was not afraid of putting you in your place if needed. Ben was a known player, but his reaction to Olivia was immediate. They had chemistry from their first encounter.

Though on opposing sides, neither Ben nor Olivia can deny their attraction. And as they find themselves together unexpectedly, repeatedly, that attraction only seems to grow. I enjoyed reading Maybe This love and will go back to read the other book in the series. A sweet and fun story of finding love when you least expect it.

Hockey hotties? Let me at 'em!

I haven't read the first book in the Colorado Ice series, however this didn't affect my reading of Maybe This Love.

I am a sucker for a hockey romance, and whilst I enjoyed the hockey side of things, I had a few issues with the heroine in this story, lawyer Olivia Davis.

She is 36 years old, but at times it felt like she was 15 years younger. She make some ridiculous decisions that made me wonder at times if she was really a lawyer?

Ben Westmore though - Yeah, I kinda dig the guy, even if he makes some dumb a$$ moves. What happens in Vegas really doesn't stay in Vegas after all!

I like the spark and attraction between our lovelies, the bite and snark from their first meetings. You can't help but want them to find a HEA.

There are plenty of fun and engaging characters in this book, especially among Ben's family.

So while this might not be a favourite book of mine, it was sweet and cute.

What is there to say about Maybe This Love by Jennifer Snow, other than the fact that I loved it!!
Olivia and Ben completely stole my heart. I became so invested in their storyline, that I never wanted the book to end. They had so much chemistry and connection between them, that the readers can feel as though they are truly apart of their blossoming romance and story.
I urge you to go and pick up this novel for yourself today! You definitely won't regret it.
4/5 Stars!

For a person who doesn't normally gravitate towards sports, I seem to keep falling in love with stories about them. There are only a handful of authors able to get me to fall hard and Jennifer Snow is one of them. She puts the heart into a heartless sport with Maybe This Love and brightens up a male dominated world with a bit of girl power. Olivia and Ben are classic romantic comedy with a modern day twist.

I have chosen to DNF this title. I did not believe the actions of the characters, they seemed unbalanced and like I was reading about 4 different people rather than 2. I was not able to engage with the story as I was not really able to get to know the hero or the heroine, so I have chosen to DNF this title.

I appreciate the opportunity.

Right from the beginning i fell in love with this book. I really liked Ben and Olivia was just amazing. I loved the development of their relationship and how cute Ben was trying to wear down Olivia's walls. This was very well written and I just love this series and can't wait for the next book.

He was drunk, he did something stupid and now he needs to get out of his mess. And honestly it was not a bad thing he did. But yes still a mess. And sure he was a player, but I can forgive that. He just needed the right woman ;)

Olivia liked her job, she was focused and she wanted a baby. She is also the opposing lawyer. But how sparks flew. But she should stay away. But damn he was fine. Though how she could be all I can't do that, when she did not even tell him her secret.

They can't date but they grow closer. I liked that he wanted her, and she, well she does want a family and thinks he can't give her that. Being a player and all.

And there is hockey too of course, it's a sports romance after all. He plays hockey and should focus so he does not croak. It's Stanley Cup after all! At least I get hockey so I liked that.

Conclusion:
Will they wont they. Yes they will

What happens when a "player" gets played? Ben Westmore is the player in his family. He's the MVP for the Colorado Avalanche & this is his year. The team is in the playoffs & nothing, NOTHING!, is going to stop them from winning the Stanley Cup! Except Ben finding out he got married 4 months ago when he got drunk on New Years Eve. Except Ben's attraction for the opposing counsel. Can he manage to regain his confidence, single mindedness & concentration?

Olivia Davis is the divorce attorney to athletes, or rather to their spouses. After gaining a reputation as a tough ice cold attorney, she's decided she's lost her chance at happily ever after & is going to do it alone. After making the decision to proceed with invites, she has the first meeting in a new case & can't believe the chemistry & attraction for her client's soon to be ex. How can Fate be so cruel?

I loved this one!! I really didn't think I'd like Ben's character because he came across as arrogant & self centered. I loved the way he appeared to change throughout the book but it was actually Olivia's perception of him changing as she got to know the man behind the persona. Olivia began to change as she started to see the other side of arguments instead of just her client's. Jennifer Snow does a really good job of introducing the reader to the characters & engaging them in the story by the use of her descriptive dialogue & excellent plot. Several barriers to Olivia & Ben's relationship are introduced in the first chapters & the rest of the story is spent showing why they can be strengths instead of barriers. Excellent story! I can't wait for Book 3!

Not final draft:
Maybe this Love by Jennifer Snow
I feel like the world has recently discovered hockey again. Or maybe it only feels that way because I’m from the midwest. Either way, I have recently read more hockey romance novels in the last 6 months than I ever would have thought I would encounter and suddenly I’m paying attention in sports bars.

In Maybe this Love, the second book in Jennifer Snow’s Colorado Ice series (I know, could she have a more perfect name for writing a hockey series?), MVP Ben Westmore is called into his coach’s office and handed divorce papers. The problem is that he doesn’t remember getting married four months earlier. The last thing self-proclaimed player Ben needs while his team is heading to the Stanley Cup finals is to deal with some gold-digger. And he certainly can’t deal with the feelings he gets when he looks at his soon-to-be-ex-wife’s lawyer. And after all the pro-athletes Olivia has gone up against in divorce cases, she certainly isn’t interested in starting things with one. It must be the hormones that she has been taking in preparation for in vitro making her warm when she is near him.

Who doesn’t love a good “famous player wants to settle downs for the right girl” story? And, even better, while hockey is a big part of the story, you are overwhelmed by mind-numbing facts (I always just skim that junk anyway.)

Perfect for any wannabe hockey fan.

maybe this love is the second novel in the colorado ice series, and focuses on older brother ben westmore. he is a total dreamboat. he's kind and generous. he loves his mom and sister. he adores his baby niece. he's close to his brothers. and he's also a super hot professional hockey player.

he meets olivia davis under less than desirable circumstances, however, because she is representing the wife he forgot he married on a drunken new year's eve in las vegas. olivia has a reputation in sports circles as the woman who represents the scorned wives of professional athletes. and she's ready to think the worst of ben. except there's that sizzle of attraction between them from the start. and her client's reasons for delaying a divorce and settlement start to look fishy. and maybe she can't be objective about ben westmore.

ben never acts like he's married. he only interacts with his alleged wife maybe once in the whole story. and he is interested in olivia. even as he realizes that this attraction is going to make his life complicated fate seems to conspire to put them together.

olivia has a lot going on in her life too. she's decided that she's waited long enough to start a family. so she's doing in vitro treatments to see if she can have the baby she's always wanted. i will be honest, this part of the story was a challenge for me. i'm not usually a fan of romances where the main character is pregnant with someone else's kid. it's definitely a matter of personal preference, but it's just something i tend to go out of my way to avoid. it turns out having one of the main characters actively trying to get pregnant while starting a relationship with someone else still feels icky to me. i think the other thing that made this challenging was that i have my own experience with ivf and i don't think i really enjoy reading about other people's ivf journeys.

but when you take all the ivf stuff out of the picture, and really focus on ben and how dreamy he is. and really just think about how perfect those westmore boys are in general, all is good.

There is nothing better than your team making the playoffs, when your team is the 2016/17 Colorado Avalanche who didn’t even make the playoffs, you find solace in a fictionalized version of the team that are very much in Stanley Cup contention. Such is the case with Jennifer Snow’s latest Colorado Ice novel, Maybe This Love. Ben Westmore plays for the fictionalized Colorado Avalanche who are definitely in contention for the Stanley Cup. When he suddenly finds himself married after a terrible New Year’s Eve, those Cup dreams are in danger. Olivia Davis is the lawyer hired by his soon to be ex-wife and definitely not a sports fan. Ben sets out to change her mind when it comes to hockey players. Not surprisingly, once she gets to know Ben, Olivia becomes a hockey fan and so much more.

The interplay between these two is fun and engaging. Ben is definitely not what he seems on paper and Olivia certainly finds that out in spades. There are definitely bumps in the road, but worth it to get the chance to see my team in contention once again. If only the actual team were the same.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.
