Her Secret Rangeris sweet ex-military cowboy love story. Great easy read with interesting plot and great develop characters. Both Brick and Beth are great developed and I just love the passion that combined those two. I understand both of them, Beth why did she kept the secrets and Brick with his code. But in the end it all turns out to be good.

Brick and Beth start on a dare of a kiss and find mutual attraction. Can they keep it going with her brother's approval. The reader is taken back to the Men at Ease Ranch with the chuckles and sighs as these two find their hearts. Really enjoyed visiting these guys again and looking forward to the next soldier to find his heart.
Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

The Men of At Ease Ranch are hot sexy and all that good girl or even a bad girl could desire. These men each have something different to fall in love with and dream about each and every night. There’s an edge of danger and action. All of it was not coming from the opposing side of things. This was a good read that held me from beginning to end. Beth loves her brother but getting involved with one of his army friends would not make him happy. But she was tempted or dared which ever you like to say. Then she just couldn’t stop herself. One thing lead to another thing then another thing. Then somewhere in there the truth got lost or forgotten. Beth presents a good case of oops I forgot. But with Brick’s hot sexy cowboy, alpha bad boy attitude she just doesn’t really put up much of a fight. I found this one just added more ummmph to The Men of At Ease Ranch series. If you read one pick it up if you haven’t still pick it up. Get to know some sexy hot cowboys that just may surprise you with the skills they come equipped with.

Her Secret Ranger was an extemely funny and emotional read. It left me wanting even more! I can not WAIT for the next book. Elizabeth is the highly protected sister of a seriously over protective brother. And just imagine that over protectiveness being the downfall of her heart. Brick is a former Army Ranger and the one night stand that turned into 2 wont leave his head. It leaves an impression on both parties.

This writing draws me into their story shadowing their lives as they live it. It feeds my emotional needs and gives me a set of complex characters to love. After meeting the rest of the characters I hunger for their stories. I can not wait to get to them and find out what is ahead for each one.

Elizabeth, aka Beth **yes, I confess, I love the heroine going by these names because...reasons wink*, is an event planner and is currently in Braxton for both personal and professional reasons. Her current assignment is the Stafford wedding. The bride, Rachel, happens to be her childhood friend and Beth is in the wedding.

Brick, a former Army Ranger, is in town with his friend to look over animals for the At-Ease Ranch. The At-Ease, along with Foxtrot Construction, are owned by Brick, and his brother, Stone (see book one, In a Ranger's Arms), to assist veterans adapt to civilian life and have employment opportunities.

Beth knows Rachel senses she's keeping something from her and when she tricks Beth into a game of Truth and Dare, for the first time in their friendship, Beth takes the latter.
When Rachel, the bride, tricks her into a game of Truth or Dare because she knows Beth has a secret, Beth takes the latter and must kiss the next single cowboy they see...and it just happens to be the man Beth is keeping the secret about. Beth almost refuses, until she sees who the recipient will be. That is one cowboy she will eagerly kiss.

Brick can't believe it when the sexy woman from two weekends ago walks up and kisses him. Their chemistry was and still is explosive. He hasn't been able to stop thinking about their two nights together and though they were only to be a fling, he's happy when she accepts his invitation to dinner. A date that goes very well.

"His last thought before exhaustion claimed him was: life is never going to be the same. He was good with that." - Brick

Beth is enjoying her fifth date with Brick and is quickly realizing she's falling for him. She's happy to see it seems as if he's feeling it too, something his brother confirms. However, Beth gets a sinking, and painful, feeling as she learns more about what Brick used to do and currently does because she just knows it means Brick is best friends with Cord, her very protective older brother, which would make them former teammates. Cord has always kept his military life separate from her and their Mom, refusing to even introduce her to any of the men he served with.

Will Beth tell Brick immediately? Or will she wait a few days to have as much time with Brick as she can? What happens when Cord discovers Brick and Beth are together? Will Brick react like Beth believes he will and walk away? Will Beth get a chance to explain? Will Brick and Beth get their HEA? Or is the guy-code of not dating sisters more important to Brick than the woman he loves?

One-click now and follow along as two people discover a relationship that quickly becomes more than originally intended.

On a purely personal note, I could've done without references to Brick's apparently vast sexual past, hence his call sign of Romeo, never having more than one date or revisiting the same woman ever (prior to Beth), the numerous references to past experiences with other women, and one of those in particular regarding a striptease performed for him and the number of people involved and touching him. Gross. This is not at all heroic behavior nor anything I want to read about while getting invested in him becoming part of a couple. Yes, neither main characters were virgins, but there was never mentions like this regarding Beth's past, so why did there need to be for Brick? I deducted a star simply for this reason because it's information that's not needed nor is it in any way necessary to the story.

Beth Branningan can’t believe her luck… or shall we say fate is a tricky b*tch who just doesn’t like Beth. How is that the one guy that she really feels a connection with, the one guy that she could maybe see a future with, just so happens to be her brother’s best friend! She didn’t know that to start out with. And how was Brick supposed to know when her brother Cord always called her Lizzie. Now she finds herself in a fine mess. Lose the guy she has the hot connection with or piss off her brother? Why does it matter, she knows as soon as Brick finds out, he’s going dump her as fast as he can.
This is a sexy, fun read with Beth trying to keep her secret from her brother and Brick. The secrecy and dodging becomes a fine tuned dance for Beth, but she doesn’t know what to do. She doesn’t want to give up Brick, but there is no way her brother is going to let her date a friend of his, especially a MILITARY friend of his.
I really loved this book. Brick not only is a military man but a cowboy too! SCORE! Beth has this instant connection with the fine cowboy and things really are going well, until she finds out on accident that Brick is Cord’s best friend. It was so much fun being back on the ranch with the guys. This is book two in the series but each book can honestly be read as a standalone. I think you’ll love Beth and Brick as much as I did. Highly recommend this book and series!

3.5 “always save the horse where a cowboy is involved” Stars

One hot weekend of fun is only the beginning for Beth and Brick in Her Secret Ranger. Beth is back in town for her best friend’s wedding, which she’s not only part of but is helping set up as an event planner. It seems destiny really loves Beth when she runs into the hot cowboy she met a fortnight ago at a bar.

Brick can’t believe his eyes when his sweet angel appears before him and kisses his socks off. For the first time in his life, he wants more from a woman than just a quick hookup and never to be seen again. The more he learns about Beth, the more he likes her, and soon they’re starting a budding relationship to see what happens. As days goes by, though, he gets the niggling feeling that she is keeping something from him, he just hopes it is nothing that will get in their way.

Everything was hunky-dory for Beth, she loved her job, had finally saved enough money to go back to college and she is spending time with the sweetest and hottest cowboy ever. Things get complicated when she realizes that Brick is not only ex-military but one of her big brother’s best friends and former fellow Ranger. She knows the second Brick finds out who she is he will dump her faster than she can say hi. Her brother would lose his ever loving mind and kick Brick’s butt if he ever found out, so she really has no choice but to try and keep it from them.

Her Secret Ranger has lots of sexy times, a wide group of ex-military guys giving each other shit and a really sweet hero. I loved how Brick, in spite of being a commitment-phobe until meeting Beth, would calmly confront his feelings and accept them. This was most refreshing. He was sexy and bossy, super hunky and incredibly sweet with his angel.

I had a harder time dealing with Beth’s anxiousness regarding the whole “secret” relationship thing. She was a hard worker, smart and caring. I wish she had confronted her big brother much sooner, not only regarding Brick, but his whole detached thing, but I guess he will be the subject in an upcoming book.

While I thought Beth and Brick together were incredibly sweet and I loved them on paper, for me, something never really clicked. I wasn’t as invested as I could have been with this type of story, so that took out some of the enjoyment for me as I wasn’t, you know, all in. Still, Her Secret Ranger is a solidly good book: fun, light and sweet.

I read the first book an loved it so I knew I was going to love this one too. I was right. I gobbled up this book quickly. I was hooked in by the characters. They were delightful. Beth and Brick have a secret fling going on, but soon the secret Beth keeps is a whole lot different stakes. I liked Beth and Brick together. Beth is good for Brick. She brings out a different side to him that shocks his buddies. I liked seeing Lula Belle is up her shenanigans. It does set up for the next book in the series and I can't wait!

It's a cute read and what I've come to expect from Donna Michaels. There wasn't anything special to make it stand out in my mind. If you enjoy Donna Michaels or think the description is cute, go for it. I recommend reading, but won't be running to tell everyone to read it.

This is a great book; this book is part of the Men of at Ease Ranch series written by Donna Michaels. By-the-book event planner Beth Brannigan’s best friend dared her to kiss a cowboy. She should have said no. Instead, she said please…again and again. If her brother finds out she’s dating—okay, kissing—okay, sleeping with—one of his military buddies, he’ll kill her. Assuming he doesn’t kill his friend first. Former Army Ranger Brick Mitchum isn’t a relationship kind of guy. But then he meets Beth and starts to wonder if maybe it’s time he settled down. She’s mysterious. Unpredictable. Curvy in every way he needs… And hiding something. He’s just got to figure out what. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author.

4 Stars

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, sweet love, secrets, and heartbreak.

Before reading this story please read the below books first:
In a Ranger's Arms (The Men of At Ease Ranch #1)

This is Beth and Brick’s story. Brick, his brother Stone, and a few of his former Army Rangers are running a ranch to help transition veterans back into society. Beth is in town helping her best friend plan her wedding. She meets Brink in a bar and they hit it off. They spend a few nights together thinking they will not see each other again. But a few weeks later they see each other again. Could they try and start a relationship? They both want to try it and they have a few dates. But when Beth discovers that Brick knows her brother she knows that as soon as Brick finds out they will be over. The guy code comes before love. So, she keeps the knowledge a secret. She is going to store up every touch and memory for when Brick breaks her heart by letting her go. When Brick and her brother find out she loses everything. What will she do now?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

Her Secret Ranger is Donna Michael’s second installment in her The Men of At Ease Ranch series. The novel follows Brick and Beth as they navigate falling in love hard and fast. Right when Brick is ready to introduce Beth to his ranch, and his friends at the ranch, Beth realizes that one of Brick’s friends is her brother. And of course, that means Brick is going to honor the bro-code and drop her like a hot potato! So she keeps her knowledge that Brick and her brother, Cord, are coworkers, friends and ex-military buddies to herself; she can’t help but keep the man of her dreams for just a little bit longer. Disasters certainly ensues.

Donna Michaels once again proves that she’s the queen of hilarity in Her Secret Ranger. The wackiest, most outlandish things that could possibly happen always seem to occur in her books, and I adore it. Although Brick and Beth’s love story isn’t anything super special, the entire At Ease cast of characters makes this book a worthy addition to any TBR list. The comradery between the military buddies, their commitment to making the lives of veterans better and their fierce protectiveness of their family and friends makes my heart warm. 3.5 stars for Her Secret Ranger!

This is a lovely romance book. This book has characters you just fall in love with from the first page. This is the second book in the series but it can be read as a stand alone read. The characters were very well written and worked really well within the story. The story just pulls you in from the first page, keeping you hooked till the very last one. This is a fun, sweet, romantic read. I cant wait to read more from this author in the future.

Brick is part owner of the ranch/construction co that employs former military to help them acclimate to a civilian life. Beth is an event planner in town for her best friend's wedding. She and Brick meet at a bar and get it one. This opens with them meeting for a second time unexpectedly.
I'm not too crazy about the "I can't date you because my best friend is your brother!" trope. What two adults do is their business and that's it. I did like how Beth stood up to her brother. Finally.
Overlook that, and this was an engaging story about two lonely people finding each other. I liked Beth and Brick, both fit in well and compliment the other. The rest of the crew makes appearance here; Stone and Jovy (from book 1), Vince, Leo, and Cord. And I can't forget Lula Bell!
Looks like Cord's book is next (with Haley).

Secret Cowboy
Another awesome story about the men of At Ease Ranch! This is the first series that I've read by Donna, but it won't be the last. With the way the story unfolds one you start reading you cannot put it down until you reach the finale. Beth has returned to where her former Ranger brother has made a home for himself at the At Ease Ranch, for work and get best friends wedding. Being just one town away means she gets to see him more often than she has for the last few years. Now that she's back she ended up meeting up with her weekend hook-up from a few weekends ago, whom she had a fabulous time with. But she had a feeling he's former military so she doesn't mention him to get over-protective brother. While getting to know Brick outside of the bed she finds out he's a former Ranger, which means her brother and him have something in common and it might work in their favor, but then again Cord is very overly-protective of her. But do Brick and Cord have more in common than Beth knows? You'll have to read Her Secret Ranger to find out. I loved this story as well as the series, I cannot wait to see what happens next and get MORE Men of At Ease Ranch. Each story is it's own standalone story of the men on the ranch, you won't be lost if this were there first book of the series you decided to pick up. But with that being said you'd miss some background information from book about another couple who found their HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this HEA via Tasty Book Tours through NetGalley for an honest blog tour review. Due to sexual situations and adult language this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older!

"Her Secret Ranger" by Donna Michaels. Beth and Brick are our lovely couple in this one and boy, are they smokin' HOT! Often, I had to turn on a fan while reading this one. To say they have chemistry is an understatement. On top of the sparks, there is a story that was enjoyable and easy to read. The development of the relationship from lust to more moves along at a believable pace and it was a fun journey. I truly liked both Beth and Brick, although I don't like when secrets are kept throughout and for that reason, Beth did irk me just a tiny bit. Ms. Michaels is truly talented when it comes to writing tales that are light and make you feel good, with a touch of angst, drama and heartbreak too. I certainly enjoyed this one and look forward to reading future works by this gifted author. (received copy from NetGalley for honest review)

I received an ARC and I'm temporarily writing my review.
When I read the blurb I couldn't wait to read it.
It was OK, but it fell a bit short. This was a quick read and the romance was very fast paced. The amount of time they spent together was not enough to fall in love. This was also predictable, especially the ending. It did keep me interested though and I did enjoy it. I just needed more from the story.
