Embrace the stalking again. Picture walls do not a healthy person make. THAT freakiness aside, I want a Ryan of my own....sans stalking.

Cute story. I loved the characters, especially Ryan. He was so hot and I couldn't get enough of his protective streak. I don't read about to many men who are confident in how they feel and aren't afraid to show it. Ryan had been doing just that for years, the time for he and Paige finally right. Their chemistry was great. He was all Alpha and she was feisty, a potentially lethal combination. It worked. I also adored Max and Mallory. They were perfect secondary characters. Really enjoyed this one.

'His Alone' by Alexa Riley is book Two in the "For Her" series. This is the story of Paige and Ryan aka..Captain.
I have not yet read the previous book "Everything for Her" so for me this was a standalone book. With that being said, I will say I wish I had read the previous book first. It seems that is when Paige and Ryan met. In addition, there seem to be some history Paige had with her best friend Mallory and her half brother Miles (who are the main characters in the first book). It didn't slow me down enjoying the book but my OCD in me wanted their whole story.
Paige has been working for Miles but has also had a secret crush on him. But Paige is building the strength to get revenge on her father. The father that killed her mother in front of her...but she nevertheless gets scared of him when she is confronted with him again. Her father really is a bad man who only wants to do harm. Ryan has been protecting her and keeping an eye on her. Ryan is an Alpha male who knows he wants Paige since the first time he saw her when her father showed him a picture. Her father actually wanted him to do harm to her but Ryan had no plans to do so. Ryan plan after seeing that picture of her was to protect her and make her his. I loved watching Paige grown in strength and in love with Ryan .
This is the first book I have read by Ms. Riley and I must say I have fallen in love with her writing. I love a hot alpha male with a strong women and this book was just that!

Ryan seriously knows his woman real well, “we’ll have two of the Angus burgers with bacon and cheese. She’ll have mayo and ketchup, but no onions or pickles, and I’ll take it how it comes. We want a dozen wings, half mild, half hot, an order of truffle butter popcorn, and cut fries. That should be it.”Paige starts to say something, but I do it for her. “And then we’d like to see the dessert menu when we’re finished.” Ryan is real protective of his woman, “kitten, I love you hanging on to me, but I’m not answering the door with you naked unless you have a death wish for whoever’s on the other side.” I absolutely loved this book, and the alpha man that Ryan was.

Ryan knows that he wants Paige the moment he sees her picture. It was so sweet, but Ryan is so possessive that it's hard to see him as sweet.
Paige practically shakes when Ryan is around. There is so much foreplay and for so long, that it's almost explosive when they finally have sex.
His Alone, is a great conclusion for, Everything For Her. So if you haven't read, Everything For Her, I think it would be beneficial to read it before this book.
