I have patiently awaited the release of this title for what seemed to be a very long time, and I can honestly say I was not disappointed with Sin with Me by J.T. Geissinger. This third installment of the Bad Habit series was everything the fans of the bad by the same name and the three best friends who have fallen for them have been waiting for and then some. In this installment, we have the divine pleasure of learning more about hard-hitting, in your face, do what I want, Grace Stanton. In earlier books of this series we learn about the accident that robbed her of her memories of her family and her youth, but we never quite knew who she was since then and how she copes with her inner turmoil and when she is home alone with just her thoughts that keep her awake a night. Then there is Brody Scott. Musical prodigy and lead guitarist of the chart topping band Bad Habit and the man that has the cutest boyish crush on Grace that has spanned the series. Brody has secrets. The kind of secrets that he replay in his mind like a bad re-run of any 80’s sitcom that remind him of his past and haunts even when he is awake. His secrets are a heavy cross that he carries with him daily, but with Grace, he began to believe that there is such a thing as redemption. Overall, I give this read 4.5-stars because it was a good story, much like the rest of this series. It has a little of everything… romance, drama, suspense, humor, steaminess, and even a few moments that will give you something to believe in that is much bigger than our own understanding. In this third and, I have the strangest feeling, not the last installment of the Bad Habit series, the author not only brings back all of the characters we have grown to know and love over the past months, but she also adds additional layers to each of them. She allows us to peak in to their new lives as their relationships grow and develop into a quirky family of their own choosing. So, because of all of these reason and a few more you will have to discover for yourself, I recommend that you run and read Sin with Me by J.T. Geissinger. |
4/5 STARS I’ve been hearing about J.T. Geissinger some months ago, so I was glad to grab SIN WITH ME, the third book in the Bad Habit Series. We have it all: great and consuming chemistry, passion, tragedy, angst, secrets from the past that could destroy any kind of hope and future…. You won’t get bored, the author knows how to keep you hooked with drama, banter, humor, sex and the FEELIIIIIINGS. Saying there is a lot of sexual tension unsolved is an understatement. The sex scenes are….. WOW…. But there is also moments of pure and raw emotion. The pace is great, the characters are consistent, we feel their fears, their guilt, their demons and their hopes, with the double POV. During all the book, I had this feeling that past was about to clash with present, that the heartrending revelation would explode at any turn, at any page, while all the sexual tension and the passion was getting more and more powerful and irremediable. Having read those nearly 400 pages in two days clearly is the proof that you’ll enjoy all those sins! And if, like me, you didn’t get the chance to know and read the previous books, you’ll want to grab them and read them to know more about the other mains couples and their love story: Kate & Nico, and Chloe & A.J. |
#Review @JTGeissinger QueenZany 4.5 Star Review SIN WITH ME J.T. Geissinger SIN WITH ME is a toe curling good hit! Which just knocked the socks off me! Wow! The storyline, plots and just the heat of the chemistry! Was just mind explosive! Sending my mind into overdrive and a tail spin! WTF?? The secrets!! All ! have to say is OMG!! Yes!! If Grace and Brody could weather this storm? Then hell, they could get through just about anything!! Another oneclick!! |
After the clandestine kiss shared between rock star Brody and therapist Grace at the end of the previous installment in the Bad Habit series readers knew that things were only going to get hotter between the two of them. Things were also going to get a bit rockier as they both have issues weighing on them that slowly reveal themselves throughout this story. Guilt and fear permeates their relationship but doesn't overwhelm it as there's lots of fun and flirty banter, along with intensely erotic encounters, to make for a joyous journey with a small speed bump late in the story. Grace isn't your typical heroine as she's a love 'em and leave 'em kind of gal, unrepentant of her active libido and intense desires. She's a bit crass when it comes to relationships and sex and doesn't believe in long-term as a childhood accident could result in a sudden case of amnesia where she very well could forget her life and love. She's drawn to Brody but scared that he may be hurt if that happens. Fate conspires, as does Brody in full-out charm, to put them in close quarters which gives them the chance to get to know each other better and discuss their issues...for better or worse. Grace is a strong-willed woman, dominant in and out of the bedroom, but not my favorite heroine though she's oh so loyal to those she calls family. Her early encounters with another man tainted my image of her and it's something I never overcame completely. Brody's a man riddled with guilt over an act committed in his youth. Though I suspected what is was the author still revealed it with a punch to the gut. Before that moment though Brody showed why he's the quintessential book boyfriend. To the world he appears affable with charm and flirtatiousness but behind closed doors he's a dominant and a master at dirty talk. His encounters with Grace were scorching and kept me on edge while I blushed profusely. There was always humor between them, even during these erotically-charged moments, along with playfulness that was very much a part of Brody which is what I loved most about him. He's kind-hearted, as seen in his interactions with his housekeeper Magda, which were endearing and self-deprecating. The guilt that he carried was always a shadow hanging over him and it was clear how much he was hurting and how desperate he was to make amends. Every sweet deed, every erotic act he lavishes on Grace, was an act of atonement for him and made me a bit misty-eyed. Despite his youthful misdeeds he made my heart ache and made me love him all the more with each turn of the page. This was a sweet and sensual read, not near as heavy as the two previous installments, but still enough angst to keep readers on edge waiting for the other shoe to drop. Brody and Grace are a formidable couple full of fun and flirtiness, their happiness infectious. Their journey to HEA was entertaining with a painful speed bump that was thankfully resolved fairly quickly but had my heart pounding. While I liked Grace's embracing of her sexuality I had a small issue seeing her with Marcus at the start and their erotic encounters that felt a bit like cheating as her feelings for Brody were more than obvious from the start. While their relationship sailed along with few waves, it's the other couples who are put through the wringer as A.J.'s health is in peril while Kat's infertility is weighing on her marriage to Nico. A.J.'s issues are especially heartbreaking and made my stomach clench in worry as his interactions with his baby girl made my uterus hurt. Though this book CAN be read on its own the journey to HEA will be much richer reading this series from the start as each piece to the puzzle of the men of Bad Habit continues to be revealed with each new book released. |

Great addition to this series and maybe the best. This is the 3rd book in this series and it features Brody and Grace and it is full of emotions, romance, sexy times and some real laugh out loud moments that made the entire book so very enjoyable! If you like romances with sweet, sexy men who love their women with all they've got, then you'll love this series. Would definitely recommend it! |
Sin with Me is the third book in the Bad Habit series. And I loved it! I’ve loved the other two books, so this third installment was a great addition. I don’t want it to be over, but I feel like the author might be ready to move on. Sniff, sniff. I already loved Grace and Brody from the previous books. But them getting their own story and really getting words from their POV was wonderful. They truly were perfect for each other. If you read my reviews, you know I hate when a MC keeps a BIG secret from their significant other. And this books definitely uncovers a big secret. However, I loved that the secret had a twist and was took the reader by surprised as well! My one issue…one tiny issue, was there was a lot of sex. I mean a lot. It’s wasn’t really anything crazy, but I felt like it took over a lot of the storyline. Overall, this was a great rockstar romance. I loved the characters and I loved the plot. It was emotional, gritty, fun and full of sexy time. |
I’ve come to count on the Bad Habit series to deliver some incredibly sexy scenes, swoon-worthy heroes, dialogue that will make me laugh and smile, and a bit of a treacherous path to get to the couple’s happy ending. Sin With Me delivered on all those accounts. While it didn’t knock me over with some crazy angst like the previous two of the series, it was a very good book with drama, secrets, and some twists I didn’t anticipate. Sin With Me is the third book in the Bad Habit series that pairs up a group of close girlfriends with a popular rock band. While these can be easily read as standalone, there is character overlap and referencing of plot twists and conflicts from previous books, so be warned if you don’t want spoilers. I love how this author blends her books together by continuing past couples’s stories in each subsequent book to some degree. Fans get more than simple cameos. The more in depth check-ins and subplots involving the couples’s ups and downs reinforces just how close the girls and band are, while giving readers a chance to experience more from their favorite characters. I’ve been intrigued by Grace’s closed off and often crass persona since she first appeared in Sweet as Sin. She’s certainly a different type of heroine, and I imagine some readers may be frustrated with her bed-hopping style or brusque commentary. I did have a little bit harder time connecting with Grace, but it may be a personal preference thing. Overall, I found her story interesting, really liked Brody, and liked the two of them together. The feelings and relationship between Grace and Brody develops early on. However, when you consider the flirting that went on in the previous books and that they’ve been in close contact for 18 months thanks to mutual friends, it doesn’t feel disingenuous or like instalove. That said, I did wish the feelings were a bit more flushed out, especially with Grace. Considering how much she was against long-term relationships at the get go, I expected her to second guess things a little earlier. I did like when it all came to a head and she started reconsidering or questioning things. It kept with her character’s cynicism, and added an interesting bit of conflict to their story. As with the other books in the series, there is some ominous, heavy-handed foreshadowing and you know the secret and guilt Brody harbors will pack a punch. Although I correctly surmised some aspects of the reveal, there were still a good number of twists that kept me guessing and eager to know how it would resolve. If you like romances with sweet men who dote on their love interests, sexy scenes, humor, and a good dose of secrecy and drama, I’d certainly recommend this book and series. |
Reviews by the Wicked Reads Review Team Avid Reader – ☆☆☆☆ M/F Romance Triggers: Click HERE to see Avid Reader’s review on Goodreads for trigger warnings. This is a sad story with a sweet streak straight through it. I have not read any of the previous books, but I didn't ever think that I was missing anything. Brody is running from his past. However, when he meets Grace, he instantly is drawn to her. I love their banter back and forth – despite him calling her names, etc., it is done in a teasing, funny manner. Grace is living life the best way she can. She has a new family – her friends that she has surrounded herself with and she loves what she does. When she meets Brody, she knows that he is trouble, but she can't seem to help herself. Then you have Magda. Magda is the housekeeper who is hilarious in her own way. She gives Brody a hard time but loves Grace instantly. She keeps the pair on their toes, but loves them unconditionally too. When the secrets of the past come to light, Grace and Brody have to decide if their future together is worth fighting for. I don't want to say too much, but all of the secondary characters are amazing and I hope they have stories of their own. Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆ This is the third book in the series and I would recommend that you read them in order to get the full impact of the stories. This installment focusses on band member Brody and Kat and Chloe's best friend, Grace. They have been dancing around each other for a while, but Grace will not commit to anyone – and when we discover why, it is a little heartbreaking. But Brody is not a man to be deterred and just as things seem to be on an upward line, the plot twist kicks in... It was also great to catch up with Chloe and AJ and Kat and Nico, plus the fun offered by Kenji (and London) and of course, the ever faithful Barney. Magda is pretty awesome too! This is a lovely book, with some very, very hot scenes, as well as some deeply moving ones. Life does not run smoothly for this gang, but they know love is everything. |
This is book number three in the Bad Habit series and I wasn’t sure it was possible but they keep getting better and better. The humor that was thrown into such a dramatic book was outstanding. Anytime you can laugh out loud during a book that has you mesmerized has to be a winner. Brody and Grace’s story was one of the best with Brody being the rocker with a great sense of humor and Grace was the ball-busting bff of Kat and Chloe. Brody was also was a man with dark secrets which weighed heavy on his soul and Grace had been through a traumatic event in her life that set her on the path with Brody. This book really made me think about some heavy things as well because sometimes forgiveness of yourself is harder to achieve than forgiveness from others. All I can say is that is a book definitely worth your time and as far as that goes picking up all the books in the Bad Habit series is a great way to get started on a rock romance that I would highly recommend. This book was provided as an ARC from NetGalley for a freely given and honest review. |
Sin with me explores the depths of human emotions from guilt, acceptance , love and ultimately forgiveness. It hits you right in the feels and you can't help but invest in the relationship alongside Grace & Brody. We get little glimpses as well of the Bad Habit crew and their significant others which was fantastic because their all a hoot and a half! Loved! |
I did not finish this book so I didn't rate it with stars. I'm including the notes I took while reading. I just recently discovered Ms. Geissinger and was an immediate fan after reading her Wicked Games books. I was so excited to dive into this book but am surprised by how different it is and the disparity in writing between the two. Don’t like the over the top vulgarity of the girls…attempts at humor that fall flat. The dialog is similar to that of high school kids. ‘…which sets my lady parts aquiver’ '...even if I do hate everyone else's spawn, I'm going to love Chloe and A.J.'s as if I produced it from my own vagina.' '...at how efficient Chloe seems to be hatching new members of the human race' ‘Even my voice has a lady boner for this guy.’ Although can be read as a standalone, there are some major spoilers for what happened in previous books and a lot of missing history if you haven’t read them. The characters are a bit confusing at first as well. Who is Kenji? |
Ok, I'm new to this series, but I didn't have a hard time following along with the characters. However, I do want to go back and devour the previous books! I was sucked into Grace and Brody's world. I wanted to know why he was the way he was. Why he had such a hard time with his demons. We, the reader, knew more about Grace, but still had to find out more about her as the story went on. Brody was a little harder to read and gauge, but I wanted things to work out with them. He loved fiercely and with all he had. He was sweet, caring and compassionate even though his past was a dark piece of his life. This book definitely gave me the feels and I didn't want to put this book down! I was captivated by them and their story and I loved their friendship as well as their passion. They had a great core group of friends that supported them and loved them, too. It was an easy story to get lost in and I recommend this read! |
I was totally surprised by this story! It had quite a few stunning moments! It also had a jaw dropper of a twist! I thought that Grace was just a tough as nails kind of girl. I didn't suspect what had made her that way! She kept a man around for 30 days only. Yes,it made her look like a female Casanova! It made her look bad all the way around. But,her reasons were sound once revealed. This brings us to Brody! One weak moment, one night with him and she thinks long term. Not just the 30 days she usually dates someone. Brody had a secret of his own! One that could end his relationship with Grace for good! This was a Great story! I Loved It! ~ Wendy |
Couldn't finish it. Can't get past MC sleeping with someone else |

4.5 stars-- SIN WITH ME is the third installment in J.T.Geissinger’s contemporary adult BAD HABIT erotic, romance series focusing in the member of the rock band Bad Habit. This is lead guitarist Brody Scott, and psychologist Grace Stanton’s story line. SIN WITH ME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for backstory, history and cohesion as many events in the current time line build upon events of the previous books. Told from dual first person perspectives (Grace and Brody) SIN WITH ME is an intense story of heartbreak, secrets, healing and moving forward. Years earlier, at the age of eighteen, Grace Stanton’s world exploded. A hit and run driver killed her parents, leaving our heroine with no memory of the past including her name, her parents and the events leading up to the crash. Fast forward to present day and Grace Stanton, a couple’s counselor, is a woman afraid to commit beyond the present. Enter lead guitarist for the rock band Bad Habit Brody Scott, and the man who will steal Grace’s heart, and destroy all semblance of peace and hope for out story line heroine. SIN WITH ME follows the building relationship between Grace Stanton, and Brody Scott. Brody’s attraction to Grace is hindered by Grace’s inability to commit fearing the possibility compounded memory loss that includes the loss of everything she worked hard to attain. Brody sets out to seduce our story line heroine, coming to the rescue when Grace loses everything in her life. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive. The back and forth banter between our leading couple is humorous and entertaining. The secondary and supporting characters include Kat and Nico (Sweet as Sin #1), and Chloe and AJ (Make Me Sin #2), Kenji the ‘flamboyant’ friends, as well as security specialist Barney, keyboardist Ethan and bassist Chris. Barney is leaving the band to pursue a career with a high-level security outfit known as Metrix, and I am going to surmise a spin-off series in the future. The world building looks at the growing family, friendship and relationships between the members of Bad Habit. There is a twist to the story line that I saw coming, early on although it did not affect my enjoyment of the story. SIN WITH ME is an emotional, erotic, palpable, intense and fated story. Grace’s past comes full circle while Brody’s dark secrets will destroy any hope for a happily ever after. The premise is startling, powerful and dramatic; the romance is provocative and emotional; the characters are animated, colorful and tragic. SIN WITH ME is a moving, wondrous, and riveting story line. Wow. This book pulled me in from the very start. It is the third in a series but can be read as a standalone. I haven't read the first two books (I'll be going back for those now) and could still follow the story just fine. This was a good, solid story about faith, redemption and love. I know some people might find this heroine a bit off putting at first. She's not like any other heroine I've ever read-and I liked that. She's not looking for any type of commitment, never stays with a man more than 30 days and doesn't believe she has to be in a relationship to be happy. If Grace was a male character she could probably be described as a playboy-and I kind of liked that the author gave that role to a woman. It made her falling for Brody even more satisfying to me. Brody...well I really enjoyed Brody. I liked his confidence, his innate swagger. He was determined to prove to Grace that he was worth more than a trial period in her life, that they could make something work between them. Did I mention he was sexy? Plus he's a musician-that just adds to his sexiness. The chemistry between these two is palpable. You can feel it in every interaction. I thought my kindle would melt at some points-and it would have been totally worth it if it had. The sex between them was insanely hot and steamy and I loved every second of it. What did kind of take me out of the story a bit was the religion bashing. I get not everyone is religious and everyone can practice whatever they want-I just feel the author was a bit harsh in regards to some views and that may turn some readers away. I liked the plot of this book. There was just the right touch of angst here. I'm not usually one who is drawn to an angtsy book but I liked the angst here. It worked for the book. I thought the pacing flowed well and I didn't feel anything was glossed over or rushed. Again, while this is part of a series I read it as a standalone and followed along just fine. I would recommend this book and look forward to going back to read the others in this series. |
I stumbled upon the Bad Habit series kind of by accident one day when I was looking for a new audiobook on Audible. It seemed like another rock band romance series, which I do love. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. This series packs an incredibly emotional punch, and J.T. Geissinger saved the best for last. Grace has always been the cynic. She is the relationship therapist that doesn't believe in love. Even though she's now seen her two best friends fall completely into it, she still doesn't believe it's real or that it's out there for her. Instead she seeks out meaningless sex wherever she can get it, and whenever he seems to be getting too attached, she bails. But, ever since Grace's friends have gotten into relationships with band mates Nico and AJ, they've all been hanging out together. Which means Grace has been hanging out with guitarist Brody a lot as the still unattached ones. And Brody is done just being Grace's friend. Of course, Grace isn't thrilled with his newfound determined attitude. She keeps people at arm's length for a reason, and Brody is the one man that she knows can destroy all of that. I thought Nico was my favorite. And then I met AJ, and he became my new favorite. And then I met BRODY. This guy - he is so amazing. Grace is not an easy woman to love. She's abrasive and hardened and kinda sad. For good reason. She has probably one of the best reasons I've ever heard. But, Brody doesn't care. She tells him why she refuses to get close to any man, and he takes it in, and keeps pursuing her. He's kind and good to her. He takes care of her even when she doesn't want him to. How could she NOT fall in love with a guy like that? J.T. Geissinger's writing blew me away. The story was fast paced with never a dull or slow moment. She has this way of bringing all the characters together for different reasons that seemed completely organic, but it gave us good excuses to catch up with the other two couples. But, the dialog - wow. Grace, Chloe and Kat have always played off each other in the most fun ways. But, Grace and Brody took it to a whole new level. Their funny banter was sweet and made me laugh out loud. I loved how it turned from playful to sexy to utterly and completely romantic, all in the blink of an eye. And that epilogue? Wow. The writing in Sin With Me was flawless. Sin With Me is about Grace coming to terms with the circumstances of her life and making the decision to actively live it anyway. And about Brody forgiving himself for things in his past that were outside of his control. Neither is easy to do, especially alone. But, together, these two are incredible. |
I really loved and enjoyed this one. I think my favorite out of this series. Loved the characters and there chemistry together. Was hooked from the start! This series always leaves me wanting more. Cant wait for whats next! |
