"It's because you're perfect, but you make me feel like I am."

Being a huge fan of rockstar romance I happened up this author at the beginning of the series. I fell hard and have never looked back. I'm addicted now and can honestly say that her word wizardry has convinced me that I'll read anything she writes in the future, regardless of the subject matter.

Another weakness of mine is broken characters. And in Sin With Me, I got two. The author kept me totally invested from page one as I struggled to mentally put the pieces together to explain the events leading up to their current situation. Their painful pasts and present secrets have kept them on the edge of life, existing but not living the fullness their friends and band members are experiencing. Brody and Grace have been lusting after each other for almost two years. Wanting, but resisting. Both of them a slave to their secrets, feeling as if they don't deserve happiness, unwilling to inflict themselves on someone they care about. Deciding it's best to find their pleasure in the temporary rather than risking their hearts. It worked for them... until it didn't.

It felt so good to be reunited with the girls and the band members again. Their bond is deep and their witty banter is so entertaining. They have each other's backs through thick and thin, and unfortunately for them, there's been a lot of thin in the last few years. Being so close to both Brody and Grace, they suffered with them as they struggled with their issues. And of course, Kenji is still around to provide comedic relief and dramatic flair to lighten the darkest of times. I got sucked right into their lives and was reluctant to turn the last page. Fortunately, I think there are still a few band members with a story to tell and I look forward to reading it. The line forms here...

Genre:  Romance, General Fiction

Another easy to read book in this rock star romance series.
I feel I'm really getting to know the characters now and what I enjoy is seeing those from past books in the current ones, so we keep up to date with their lives, and it really helps that cohesive band book theme.
I love connected books like this, often I'm not ready to say goodbye to favourite characters but I don't want a complete book about them. their story has been told, but its also good to keep up with how its progressing.

JTG has a way of writing that lets the story flow and tell itself. I hate when authors kind of spoon feed me plots, point out whats obvious again and again, as if I haven't the intelligence to work it out from the trails already set.
The plot(s) here are pretty straightforward and its kind of easy-ish to see how things are going to unfold, or at least the end result, and the fun is working out how JTG is going to get the characters where they need to be.

I loved Brody and Grace, and trying to work out their secrets but I'd got a rough idea of what was coming by about halfway. They've both got angsty past issues to deal with, and hold secrets deep inside, so deep they don't even really acknowledge them to themselves.
I'm pleased he was a bit younger than her, that makes a change and I love seeing romances this way round, older men and younger ladies are standard, older ladies younger men not so much!

I enjoyed the band connection, though its a rock band romance only in that the guys belong to a famous band, not that anything connected closely with band stuff is here, no touring, no writing songs, creating music etc.
I also liked the way that keeping the previous characters in and bringing us up to date on them led to some excellent side plots that kept things interesting.
So many books revolve around just one main plot and then everything else is just filler, but here its all relevant to the story of the Band as a whole.

Now I've got further into the books and understand the characters better I'd like to go back and reread the first one, and I think it'd probably be a five star now for me instead of the four star I gave it at the time.

Stars: five, a fabulous read, fun romance, interesting mystery(ies) and its good to catch up with other band members.
