An intriguing book about triplets working together to solve crimes. I enjoyed getting to know each of the sisters, their strengths, weaknesses and what each of them brought to the world of Forensic Crime Solving.

They’re beautiful, accomplished, and they have identical interests...
In their spare time, identical triplets the Farris sisters work together to solve cold cases. Lizzie uses her skills as a Criminal Profiler, Nina her Scenes of Crime Officer experience, and Carrie assists through her work as a both a Forensic Scientist and Forensic Anthropologist.
Romantic and idealistic, Lizzie is picky about men. But despite the good-natured teasing of her sisters, she refuses to settle for anything less than ‘The One’. She loves her life, her job as both a profiler and a university lecturer, and her sisters, and won’t make changes for anything less. If that makes her unrealistic, then so be it.
Gabe Montcoeur has just moved across Australia from Perth to Cairns and starts a job as a journalism teacher at Cairns University: the same university where Elizabeth Farris works. On the surface, the move seems innocent, but he has an ulterior motive. Gabe wants to elicit the aid of the Farris sisters in solving the murder of his family members, and the only way to circumvent their notorious ‘no contact’ policy is to reach out to them in person.
But when Gabe meets Lizzie for the first time, the attraction is instantaneous — and mutual. The deeper they fall into each other, however, the more guilty Gabe feels about his real motivation for getting close. Lizzie wants the real deal, the one, true love — can Gabe ever offer her the future she deserves if he keeps holding on so tightly to the past?
This was a good read with good characters. Little slow but I read it. 4*. Netgalley and escape publishing.

Meet the Farris sisters .. identical triplets .. who work together to solve cold cases. Lizzie (Elizabeth) is a Profiler. Nina is a Crime Officer, and Carrie is both a Forensic Scientist and Forensic Anthropologist.

Triple Threat is first in a series of 3 ... each one featuring all sisters, but focusing on just one. This is Lizzie's story. As a profiler, she's adept at common sense, and a nose for anyone who lies to her. That's the one thing she cannot abide. She's very picky about the men is her life. She has high standards and why should she lower them? She is a romantic, but cautiously though.

Gabe Montcoeur is a new professor at the same university as Lizzie. He wants her ..and her sisters... to help him find the killer of his parents and younger sister. It's a cold case and the killer was never found.

There is an instant attraction, and now he feels guilty about his reason for being there in the first place. The longer he goes without telling her his motivation for meeting her, the harder it becomes. Lizzie isn't stupid .... she knows he's hiding something. And when she accidentally finds an old newspaper article about her and her sisters in his living room, she goes ballistic.

Meanwhile the sisters are involved in a cold case in which a woman was found drowned in a lake. The obvious culprit is her husband, and possibly his mistress. Everyone seems to be hiding something, so it's like pulling teeth to get the correct information.

And because of her profile, Lizzie gains a stalker.. one who plans to make her his next victim.

This was a fast, easy read. I like all the sisters .... losing their own parents at a young age has given them all the motivation to help others. They all seem to be very close, with little angst as most siblings find. They support each other in any way they can. I really liked Gabe, and even though he hides his motivation for seeking her out, you have to give him credit for not wanting the love of his life to walk away.

The cold case is fascinating to read, mainly due to how Lizzie works herself through in putting together a profile. I look forward to seeing the other sisters in action.

Many thanks to the author / Escape Publishing / Netgalley for the digital copy of TRIPLE THREAT. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

Lizzie is waiting in line for a seat in the restaurant waiting to waiting to meet with erh two sisters- the three made u the triplets that they were. Malcolm had asked her to a late lunch to try to win her back. Now she wished she had went. Then the couple was told that the restaurant was full and they needed to wait at the bar until a table opened. Nina was behind has and wouldn’t be happy and Lizzie saw the matre d notice who they were as Carrie said “ here we go again” The matre d realized they were the Ferris identical triplets and he gave them a table in the middle of the room. Then they could be gawked at like animals in a zoo. The triplets were the star attraction for the night. The questions if they were asked by male waiters headlines rs they were even more cliche even more so than the headlines in the newspaper detailing their crime solving exploits had become cliche even somewhat sexists and uninspired. The sisters were thirty one and their motto was sister.s first. Nina was a senior constable scenes of crimes unit. In the Cairns Police force and how it affected Nina. Lizzie still believed in love, she knew it existed and that all three sisters would find everlasting love and the feeling has gotten stronger over the past six months. She was the men were on their way and by this time next year all three would be with their soulmates or she would be shocked. Nina met with her sisters to talk about the next cold case they were going to try to solve the Baronie murder- the body of Maryann Baronie was found in the Potomac River in perth just a little over three years ago. Maryann was a rich socialite cause of death was drowning. But there was evidence of trauma to the head before the drowning. So far the only suspect was Maryann’s husband who was with his mistress and at least six guests seen them at the hotel when Maryann went missing Nina had always protected her sisters and watched out for them often acting like a second mom despite them all being the same age give or take three minutes. They were twenty and they had already their parents had been murdered and the mother instinct Nina had became even stronger. Nineteen years since Nineteen years since Gabe’s parents and little sister were murdered. At fourteen Gabe had to grow up and even though their maternal grandparents took them in butt they had been unable to provide complete care for three emotionally scarred children due to their own health issues. Gabe wanted the Ferris sisters to take on his parents case. He was moving and wanted to locate the sisters and ask for their help. He felt it would be the last chance he’d have to get the answers he needed. He had noticed the small differences of the sisters - Nina had a small cleft in her chin, Carrie had a small brown freckle above her top lip, and Elizabeth had slightly higher cheekbones and also a bump on the bridge of her nose. Gabe was drawn to Lizzie. Lizzie taught Criminal Profiling 101 at the Cairne university. This area was an area of psychology and crime that takes a lot of care and dedication and long hours of study Gabe had moved to Cairnes and had taken a job as a journalist teacher at the university to be closer to Elizabeth. He then went looking for Elizabeth her his first day of class and went to her classroom and said he wanted to talk to her. Then asked Gabe asked Elizabeth to coffee to talk. Then Lizzie told gabe that she and her sisters were already on a case then she told Gabe they had a child on their last case and that is why they took off six months then Gabe decided to wait before asking her if her and her sisters to take his case to her and see if the sisters would help him. Then somehow Gabe lucked out and Elizabeth agreed to go out with him. But as they got closer Gabe felt horrible knowing they were lies between them. Also Gabe was falling for Em. Lizzie knew there was something Gabe wasn’t saying. Then Elizabeth started falling for Gabe but wondered why he still hadn’t said whatever he was keeping to himself.
I really enjoyed reading this story. I loved the plot and the pace of this story. I loved the twists in this story. I loved how the sisters were so close and always were so close and always there for each other. I loved how Lizzie believed in love and The One. There was nothing I found to complain about in this story. I also loved how the sisters first cold case was their own parents and it took three years to solve and never gave up and found the killer. Just a great story and romance. . I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I highly recommend,

This book was a very quick read.
I mostly enjoyed it. It was a bit predictable and the romance lacked depth but the characters were pretty interesting. I also enjoyed the relationship between the sisters. I'm looking forward to the other books in this series.
What really put me off was the cliché name of the main male character and the French. The French was not French. You cannot write French into a book if you can't speak nor write French. Some of it didn't mean anything or was a word for word translation. As a french native, it drives me completely insane.

a good solid read

I loved the idea of a romance story that centred around three sisters who work together to solve cold cases. I enjoy both romance and crime/mystery novels, so I thought that it was an interesting mix.

Gabe decides to move to Cairns in order to meet the sisters and ask them to look into the death of his parents and baby sister, who were killed when he was a teenager. Before he even meets them, he finds himself drawn to Lizzie and when he finally see's her in person, the attraction is instant.

Lizzie soon finds that she is drawn to Gabe, but knows that he is holding something back from her. She and her sisters have just taken on another case and are busy trying to track down a killer. They are constantly hounded by the media and Lizzie is reluctant to trust that men are really interested in her for herself. Is Gabe really any different?

I liked Lizzie and Gabe and enjoyed reading about their developing romance. I would have liked the story to have been a little longer, it was a quick read that I finished off in one day, I think that there could have been a little more development of both the mystery element to the story and the romance. Over all though, it was a good read and I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series and finding out what is in store for Nina, as well as hopefully hearing more about Lizzie and Gabe.
