This book was amazing. I loved everything about it! I enjoyed the fact that not only did we get to see the main characters' view, but some of the other characters too. The characters were well developed and the plot was well written. When I hit the ending and got to what seems like a semi cliffhanger/ hnf I was like, but I have to know what happens next. I hope to see more of this series.

This is a great book; this is the second book in the Shifters Undercover series written by Milly Taiden. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

This book was the follow up after Bearly In Control. You will definitely want to red that before this book. This book is Marika and Devin’s story, and what a story it was! Marika is a fox shifter with an abundance of energy! Devin is an OCD panther shifter. The two are polar opposites, but they complement each other extremely well. There is so much intrigue in this story, and it answers a lot of unanswered questions from the last book. It also leaves more unanswered questions, and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series!

AAACK! Now I have to wait for the next book in this series!

After reading Milly Taiden's first book in Shifters Undercover, BEARLY IN CONTROL, I was anxious to read this next, just released, book to get some answers to my many unanswered questions. I not only got my answers, I also got a better understanding of the characters involved. But now I have new questions. (sigh) Please Milly... do not make me wait too long for the next book!

Whereas BEARLY IN CONTROL focused on Charli and Barry, FUR FOX'S SAKE focused on Devin and Mari. And the romance was just as hot with a continuation of the same intriguing plot! I love these characters and the humorous banter along with the tingly attraction as they discover they are true mates.

New information about Barry and his involvement in Klamin, military involvement, and even aliens are introduced in this second book of this series. This book has humor, suspense, intrigue, action and hot romance... very hot romance. The main plot has many, many twists and turns and will leave the reader wanting desperately to find out what is going to happen next.

This is definitely an adult book. If you're easily offended by intense language and sex in a book you may want to skip this. But if you are open to all things wild, this is a great series to follow.

Book #1 in this series definitely needs to be read before reading this one.

Marika, a geneticist, is a fox. Literally. Yeah, she's gorgeous, but that's not what I mean. She's a fox shifter. Though her work, focusing on animals, brings her joy and calls to her curious nature, she's lonely, longing for a mate.

Devin, a Fellowship agent, has known tragedy, and as such, believes he'll never find the woman meant to be his. However, the panther side of him disagrees and knows their mate is out there, waiting.

Devin and Marika meet due to a case he's working involving the death of a senator and a wolf. Their personalities may clash, but the attraction that instantly ignites between them is explosive.

As Devin and Marika work together to uncover the identity of the person behind the deaths, and creations of new shifters, they realize their attraction can't be denied, and is in fact becoming so much more.

Can Devin and Marika solve the mystery and ensure the safety of all shifters? Will Devin be able to protect Marika? Will they fight their connection or act upon it? Is there a HEA for these two?

One-click now and follow along as two people, both yearning for something they never thought they'd have, overcome obstacles on their path to forever.

Read through about 40% of the book as found it filled with too many facts and varying themes that couldn't follow the storyline well.

* Note: I do not consider this book to be a stand-alone. You should read Bearly in Control, book 1 in this series, before reading this book*

Agent Devin Sonder works for the Fellowship, which seems to have been created to deal with Paranormal crimes/issues. While investigating the death a Senator and an unknown type of shifter, he meets his mate...which he never thought would happen. Marika Paters is a scientist and geneticist working with Fish and Wildlife. She gets called on when the Fellowship needs help identifying something unknown. She's beyond excited to meet her mate in Devin. Now the two need to work together to find the Senators killer and figure out the shifter Devin found...all without getting captured, or killed themselves.

Although I liked this story more than the first one in the series and understand where the author is going with it, I'm still not loving the series as a whole.

*I received a copy of this book from the Publisher via NetGalley. I have not been compensated and my opinions are honest and my own.

After reading and loving Bunny and the Bear I really wanted to love this book. The title was attention grabbing and the cover fit the blurb so perfectly. What I love the way Milly Taiden writes her shifter characters so well. The h, Marika is a fox shifter, an exuberant, hyper, always-happy, smiles as bright as the sun, fun loving fur ball. I loved her character! Her panther mate, Devin was a cute guy, he was on the more serious side but he complimented his h and he was such a sweetie when it came to Marika.

What made me disconnect with the story was the subplot. The mad scientist/villain POV plus Marika and Devin's separate but connected investigations sometimes gave me an overload of information that slowed the pace of the story for me. It felt like too much going on in a short amount of time.

I would suggest reading this series in order, I did have to play catch up and piece together parts that happened in the previous book and this definitely ended in a cliffhanger.

Safety:Yes
No Cheating
No OM/OW drama
No Separation
Ends in a HFN - No Epilogue

Very Intriguing, Sexy, Dangerous, Action Packed, Thrilling Mystery of a Opposites Attract Paranormal Romance. The excitement and danger draw you into this world where few know about shifters and are fighting to protect the world.

Devin Sonder is so broody and sad (with good reason) he is in need of so many things in life it is crazy to think one little fox can change things for him in such a profound way. Marika Paters is bubbly and sweet as well as wicked smart and exactly the shifter Devin needs to heal his wounded heart. These two are so realistic and relatable you find yourself drawn in to their journey and rooting for their HEA. Overall a very entertaining read that I did not want to put down. Looking forward to the next adventure in this world.

Loved this one. As the other reviews say there were alout of questions answered in this book from the first BUT there's a lot of new ones now and some major questions that will be hopefully answered in the next book. And boy did it end in a cliffhanger. The only problem with reading this as soon as it's released is I need the next one now. Chomping at the bits to know what is going on

What a fun book! I wish I had read the previous book to have some questions answered, but didn't feel like it took away from the enjoyment of it.

I giggled throughout the book and I love the authors voice. Very fast paced, while not feeling rushed.

Lots of chemistry between the hero and heroine. Really enjoyed the differences between the two of them and watching a neat freak get used to "organized chaos".

I was very happy to see book 2 in the Shifters Undercover series finally become available on Netgalley.
It is a wonderful continuation of Barry's story as well as having Agent Devlin Sonders find his mate, Marika. As they continue their search for the fiendish scientist who is exploiting and genetically modifying shifters they help Barry restore his memory and it's not good for him to remember what he was. Again, Ms Taiden leaves you hanging and eagerly awaiting book 3. She's a master at hooking her readers. Shifter fans rejoice, this writer will make you happy.

3 - 3 1/2 stars

I hesitated requesting this book after I had such a difficult time with the first one of the series, but I'm glad I gave it a try. This was a lot better than the first one, and though there were still things that I had issues with, I've become hooked on the suspense part of the series.

I will say that you will have to read the first book, Barely In Control, prior to this one in order to understand most of what's going on. The suspense part of the plot continues through each book, and some of the romance as well. Both of the first books end with a sort of HFN type ending as far as the romantic side is concerned, and a cliffhanger ending regarding the suspense aspect.

Devin and Marika have both been wanting to find their mate, and only by pure coincidence do they find one another. They're both so different from each other that it's funny. When Devin decides that he's not going to put himself or her through the tragedy that he's already been through, she shows him that he's not getting away from her that easy. They are truly made for one another, and are absolutely adorable together. I wish the story would've focused more on them, but the romance aspect seems to be more of a subplot.

This is a really great story. I love the suspense aspect of it, and although I really liked the romantic side as well, it doesn't seem to be the priority for the stories. It's difficult to explain without references, but I refuse to give away spoilers. Hopefully the answers to questions about both couples, and any other introduced in the next book, will finally be answered in book #3, as well as the conclusion of the mystery/suspense aspect of the story.
I would recommend this book, series, and author.

I have voluntarily reviewed this arc I received from the publisher via NetGalley.

Not only does Fur Fox's Sake have one of the best names ever, but it is also an amazing story as well! All title-admiring aside, after loving Bearly in Control, I couldn't wait to read this one and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Fur Fox's Sake was even better and I loved it just as much!

I always write about my favorite character for last and that's usually the hero, but honestly Marika was so awesome that that spot has to go to her! That doesn't mean that I didn't love Devin though, because I did. He has his moments that will make you shake your head at him, but it comes from if not a good place, then at least a place where you can understand why he is the way he is. It's a small part and Devin really is wonderful. He's sweet and protective and willing to do anything for Marika. Devin's a marshmallow with her and I loved him for it and much more!

I loved Marika from the moment I met her in Bearly in Control and I was hoping she would get her own book and now that she has, I couldn't be happier! Marika is so fun and playful and quirky. She's a little bit of a mess, but in a good way. She's just so bubbly and full of life and energy that she vibrates with it. Not only does Marika have an great attitude, but she's also a total bada*s and can totally take care of herself. I won't say more than that because I don't want to spoil anything, but just know that's she's "foxing" fantastic and I "foxing" loved her!

I was excited to see where Fur Fox's Sake would take us after Bearly in Control and boy, did it take us places! It was suspenseful and fascinating and I want to know all the secrets that we have yet to discover. It was really insta-lovey and low in angst and didn't focus a ton on Devin and Marika's relationship, but the storyline is just so interesting that I didn't need all the relationship stuff. Of course, that doesn't mean that I didn't love the steamy, lovey parts, because I did. Fur Fox's Sake was a total home run and I'm even more excited to read the next book!

I would recommend reading Fur Fox's Sake after Bearly in Control, but you could get away with reading this one first. It's told from multiple points of view and although Devin and Marika are together, the ending will definitely leave you wanting more!

Fans of Milly Taiden will welcome this newest addition to the series. We get to catch-up with Charli and Barry-we find out that really is NOT his name-and watch Marki and Devin find each other. This one does end in a cliffhanger and feels like it should be more chapters in a larger book than a stand-a-lone; so, forewarned and all that.

This book was right up my alley! Loved the sparks that when flying with our main characters it was a fast paced and kept me reading until wee hours of the night! I'm so glad that I was introduced to this author, I can't wait to read more! I was a little lost since I did not read book one, so I'm going back now to read it!!! the reason I'm not giving this a full 5 stars, is that it ends in a cliffhanger, and I hate those not my favorite ending to a book!
