My father in law got very sick and my focus was too shattered to try and read. I will likely try again some day when my attention is stronger

Run for the Hills by Carla Caruso
Subgenre: rural romance
Release date: 1 May 2017
Publisher: Escape Publishing
Format: ebook
Length: 224 pages

She is the runaway bride everyone is looking for, especially the news organisation that wants that one photo.
Cody Belshaw is a paparazzi photographer usually based in Los Angeles. He is one of the most in demand. He was secretly dating the current singer of the moment, Paloma, but they broke up around the time his father died. He has to deal with her sudden marriage to another man, and fulfilling a request from his father’s will. Then he gets the phone call to get a photo of the runaway bride.
Bridie (Bridget) needs a job. Any job so she can lay low after the disaster of her wedding and being a runaway bride. Bridie was sent a photo as she was in the limo going to her wedding. A photo that makes her question why she should be marrying this man. She finds that sense of belonging in the Adelaide Hills with The Wedding Entourage, which is run by three brothers, who are in fact triplets. The three brothers have been given an ultimatum in their father’s will that they are to run a wedding business for a month, so they can inherit the family home. Bridie sets up the last-minute weddings for the brothers and has been successful in pulling these off.
Cody and Bridie are attracted to each other. Bridie can’t believe that given she is a runaway bride she can be attracted to someone so quickly especially as she is trying to lay low. The past does catch up with Bridie and she is forced to face her former fiancé.
This is a quick read. The story is not complex but fairly straightforward with no real twists and turns. Even though she receives the photo of betrayal, the story is about the courage one woman has to realise that the woman she had become is not the woman she wants to be.

I thought this book was slow. It didn't really hold my interest.

birdie is on the run from her own wedding, Cody is trying to fulfill his fathers will.

I thought the book eluded to the fact that birdie ran from her own wedding because of abuse. So does Cody step in to save Birdie? Read it and find out.

thank you Netgalley and Escape publishing for allowing me to read this title for an honest review.

Entertaining, amusing, and romantic! Birdie and Cody's relationship is full of chaos and conflict but it's well done and resolved in a cute HEA. The characters could have used a little more development, but there are no slow moments, and it was an easy read for one sitting. I'll pick up more of her books.

Birdie finds out about her groom on her wedding day and makes a run for it. Cody is returning home comes across this runaway bride who does not want her secrets to come to light. What a bumpy road to their romance.

Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

Since we recently got married, everything involving the word bride, wedding or marriage grabs my attention. So when I read the book description of ‘Run For The Hills’, and read that it was about a ‘runaway’ bride, I knew this was a book I wanted to read. Especially since the weather is getting warmer and I always feel like reading a feel-good romance story when that happens.

In ‘Run For The Hills’ we meet Bridie Porter, Bridie has fled her wedding without anyone knowing where she went. After finding out that her fiancé wasn’t who she thought he was, she knew she had to hide. Especially since her fiancé is a big name who the paparazzi loves. Bridie soon finds herself in the little town of Balkissoch in the Adelaide hills, on a job interview for a new wedding business run by three handsome brothers. Although Bridie doesn’t really like the idea of working at ‘weddings’, this job seems to be perfect for her. Soon Bridie finds herself enjoying her new job, and feeling more and more for one of the handsome brothers Cody. But soon Bridie’s secret is on the line.

‘Run For The Hills’ is a sweet and short romantic story. Although the story all goes a little fast, it was definitely a nice feel-good story. The romance between Bridie and Cory was nice, a little predictable but non the less very fun. I loved reading about the life at the big house, where they arranged all these weddings. And I loved the scene the author set with the guest house and the lake.

The two main characters Bridie and Cody were definitely nice characters to read about. Bridie had this big secret, and a very troubling past. I loved how Bridie had this taste of a famous glamorous life, but felt like she wasn’t herself and really wanted to be ‘normal’ again.
Cody was just very charming. He was a paparazzi photographer who had to take a break after his previous relationship didn’t work out and his father died. And Bridie and Cody had this chemistry from the very beginning.

‘Run For The Hills’ is a nice read for a sunny day. Nothing to complicated, but really enjoyable.

I loved this book. There were a few typos and missed words, but not too many. At first I wanted to know why she ran from the wedding and I kept waiting for it, but once that it came out I was a little underwhelmed.....

The story is about a young runaway bride. Normally you’d feel bad for a groom that gets left waiting at the altar alone, but Bridie is so sweet that you can’t help but love her and overlook that she ran away without talking to the groom first. In most runaway bride situations, the groom would be embarrassed and would eventually move on, but in this case the neglected husband-to-be is a multimillionaire and the press is having a field day with trying to capture a photo of the runaway gal.

After fleeing Bridie finds herself a temporary job with three handsome brothers that due to their late father’s will are making a go of running a successful wedding business. In the midst of trying to fly under the radar, Bridie finds herself tackling her new job with enthusiasm and trying to keep a sense of professionalism while a potential love interest is on the rise.

Can someone who’s gotten burned by getting too close to co-workers in the past let themselves repeat history? And if they do, will it turn out for better or worse this time around? I loved this story and would highly recommend it to all who love romance and women’s fiction. Filled with themes of love, running away, and ultimately finding love where you least expect it, Run for the Hills is a must read!

Birdie got a picture of her fiance that wasn’t very nice on the wedding day Birdie then goes on the run. Her ex fiance was a multimillionaire hotelier and the media was going crazy with the story of Birdie the runaway bride and they were all looking to get a pic of Birdie the runaway bride.” . When Birdie ran she left her job, her family, her friends behind. Birdie ran to a small town and gets a job at GoldLlake Manor as a marketing director/receptionist for a wedding venue. There are a set of triplets who are running the venue and have to keep it going for a month per their dad’s will or it would become a dog kennel. The triplets were Cody, Vance, and Jaxon. Cody is actually a LA Paparazzi and couldn’t wait to get back. Of course Birdie is attracted to Cody who could blow her cover and they start seeing each other but did so in secret.
This was a good story and I really enjoyed it. This had a good plot and had great writing. It was a short story but did not lack anything. This made me chuckle at times. I did find the end predictable but still enjoyed it. I loved the characters and the ins and outs and I recommend.

Run For The Hills was fantastic love story. Carla Caruso did a phenomenal job writing this book, I could not put it down, I read it in one day. I loved this book and it opened my eyes up to true love in a story. The love that Cody Belshaw and Bridie Porter find for each other was so exciting to see through the authors eyes. Please read this book to fall in love all over again.

Bridie Porter was running from her wedding after she got a compromising picture of her fiancee on her wedding day. She flees to a small town in the Adelaide Hills; there she gets a job at "Goldlake Manor". It is a Wedding Venue for which she becomes their marketing director and receptionist. This is where she meets the Belshaw Brothers; Cody is a triplet, his brothers are Vance and Jaxon. The business was their Dad's, until he passed. They have to make it work for a month or it is going to be turned into a dog kennel. Cody and Bridie spend most of their time together and secretly start seeing each other.

This is the first book I have read from Carla Caruso and I look forward to reading more books by her. This is a great standalone story that I really wish was part of a series.

“Bridie” was a runaway bride and running away from her job, family and friends. She wanted to hide from everyone and everything and lands in Balkissoch.
Now, she desperately needed a work and gets a job with The Belshaw brothers being secretary at their estate.
Belshaw Brothers were fulfilling his father’s wish. AS long as they had wedding business going for a month, estate will remain with them. So they decided to stick it out for a month.
She was working hard to make sure their wedding business will survive well for a month and she does it well. Business was coming in thanks to her.
Cody is paparazzi from Los Angeles and he desperately wanted to go back. When he finds out one of the celebrity who happens to be his ex’s wedding announcement, it really breaks his heart.
Cody was hiding from secret relationship and Bridie needed to be hiding from everyone. They were working together more often and they were getting closer than ever... They decided to pursue their relationship as long as a month.. no strings attached.
But Bridie’s secret is somehow leaked and Cody is revealing he needs to find “runaway bride”.
Now Bridie had to decide if she will run away again or she will face this problem head on.... What will happen to Cody and Bridie???

It was short read.. Just wondered the whole time why she was running and it was explained way too short...

This was a decent book. It was very short so I read it in one day. Our heroine, Bridie has just run for the hills on her wedding day and has a job interview to do some admin/marketing for a wedding business. Bridie settles into her new life quite comfortably. Yes, this is your typical chicklit with a predictable ending but sometimes it's enjoyable to read these pieces. I enjoyed the setting of the novel and the writing was a good combo of descriptive writing and polished dialogue.
