Just the name Helen Steiner Rice made this a book that I felt I needed to read. Her prayers are so faith-filled that I find a sense of peace once I begin one of them. They are filled encouragement and blessings.

I loved this book and I feel it would make a perfect gift for any occasion. Highly recommended

What a wonder book by one of my favorite writers. This poetry book by Helen Steiner Rice is based on the outdoors and your backyard garden. The different chapters highlight a time frame when an extra prayer is always a good idea such as New Years, Mother's day and Father's day for example. The illustrations are beautiful and there are bible verses to help you focus your thoughts as you pray. A perfect gift for any reader.

My Garden of Prayer are Prayers, poems and letters from Helen Steiner Rice.  They are beautiful, lovely, and pertinent.  She writes for specific things like Mothers Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day etc.  This book is so beautiful I just absolutely love it - it is so enjoyable, but most importantly it helps you get in touch with GOD.

I loved this devotional. Each devotional was short and had a lot of meaning. A wonderful little book!

Child hood memories reborn by reading this book. I have a couple of her books from the 70's & early 80's my Grumpa loved her books and would read them to me at bed time. I have his books now. Thank you for reintroducing these beautiful poems.

Her first collection, published in 1967, was called Just for You: A Special Collection of Inspirational Verses. Helen perceived a need for greeting cards to inspire others. She wrote inspirational verses that reflected her ever-deepening faith in God. Her simple, sincere expressions of profound religious truths touched hearts and lives worldwide.

Helen Steiner Rice’s prayer life was living and active, like the personal nature of her poetry. Many of her poems are prayers are addressed directly to her heavenly Father and others were prayers for special people in her life. Lots of prayers celebrated the privilege of and power that we have in prayer. This is a wonderful book, you’ll find nearly one hundred of Helen’s prayer I enjoyed reading this wonderful book full of sincere and profound prayers, they all sound beautiful. It's truly an art to express God our most important desires, worship and bring Him thanksgiving through prayer. Enjoyed all the Bible verses along with it, very neat prayer book. I received a copy of the book from netgalley and I expressed my opinion about it.

My first thought about this book was that it was lovely. Lovely, but likely on of those pretty books that you give as a gift to a friend or acquaintance that they may or may not look through and then set aside in a drawer or use as a pretty accent on a table. 

Upon reading through this book, I was surprised to see that this pretty book is full of reminders to pray. Reminders that we need to set aside time each day to pray, reminders to pray wherever we are through the day and such.  There are sweet prayers, uplifting thoughts, bible verses and other gems to add a special touch to your day. 
If you or someone you know is going through a tough time, this is a lovely book that will inspire and give strength. Any woman in any stage of her life can find this book worthwhile. I think it makes a lovely, thoughtful  gift for a friend- or yourself!
