I really enjoyed this story!!! There were some thing that were kind of obvious, but for the most part I had no clue what would happen. I love the connection that Emanuel and Erika had from the moment they got into that elevator. They such chemistry!! I also loved how Emanuel was fighting for such a good cause, and Erika couldn't help but fall to that. This book was everything I'd hoped it would be!

I enjoyed this story; of course the series so far has been very enjoyable to read. Though this is part of a series, you can read this as a standalone. This book is a fast paced romance with some suspense and a whole hell of a lot of hot sexual tension. I like the heroine Erika, for being a wealthy socialite she isn’t your stereotypical spoiled brat. She heads a charitable foundation in her deceased mother’s name, not realizing that others have taken advantage of her trust, money, and possibly worse. Emanuel is a man who worked hard for his money just as the rest of his family. When he is asked for help he looks a little deeper, he then comes up with the plan to kidnap Erika in hopes this will force her dad to do the right thing, by returning a missing man to his family.
Is it called Stockholm syndrome if you find the man who kidnapped you attractive prior to knowing he’s kidnapping you? Will Erika pull her head out of her… uh I mean, out of the sand and get to the bottom of the missing man and missing funds?

If you like fast paced stories with great descriptions, romance, and some hot nooky time; than this is not only a great book for you but a great series for you.

A heart pounding romantic suspense with plenty of sparks, danger, action, and sizzling HOT sex! Nothing is better than an action packed romantic suspense with great characters and a terrific plot! And Brazilian Capture is brilliantly written! The characters are fierce and fabulous and the story had me on the edge through the whole book. I loved it!

I really got into this story from the moment I started it. I found myself biting my lip and eagerly flipping the pages to find out what happens next. I was on the edge and squirmy and the romance just sizzled in the BEST way while the action and danger was heart-stopping. A spectacular read.

Brazilian Capture gets a FANTASTIC FIVE SHOOTING STARS!

At first, I was a little scandalized by Emanuel's kidnapping of Erika. No matter what his beef was with Silas Lancaster, kidnapping was just going too far. But once I realized that his long term game plan was making Erika realize that her father was a dirty player I settled in for the read. It's a crazy adventure with buckets of steamy romance and gut-clenching action but at the end, there is a very sweet HEA that most readers will enjoy.

I was hooked on this series from book one, so when this title became available to request from Net Galley, it was automatic for me. I enjoy the Brazilian setting and the very tempting Brazilian hero, Emmanuel. Emmanuel knows he is doing something wrong, but he justifies it because he believes he is doing it for the right reasons. His simple plan is to kidnap Erika and trade her back to her father, but Erika is no quivering damsel in distress. She gives him flak from day one and keeps it up as he drags her all over Brazil. The connection between the two of them builds though it is primarily borne of sexual attraction at first. Eventually, they connect on a more emotional level, and Erika begins to seek the truth about her father and his business dealings. The only problem is how Emmanuel can accomplish his goal without destroying Erika in the process.

Two forceful personalities, an exotic location, and tons of chemistry make this a great read. I would have loved a little action/danger mixed in with the suspenseful plot, but overall, I really enjoyed it.

I have been a fan of Carmen Falcone’s since the first book in this series came out, and I have remained a fan ever since. To give you an idea of Ms. Falcone’s talent at crafting a bulletproof plot, I do not like kidnapping and blackmail tropes, this is what these stories are all about, and Ms. Falcone knows exactly just how far to go to make the story palatable and believable. It’s in all those little details: the how, the why, the motivations, and the carefully drawn characters. Carmen Falcone always knows what she's doing, and while I have been abandoning some authors because of their lack of originality over time, Ms. Falcone has been on an upward swing since the beginning, and she shows no sign of slacking off!

Emmanuel has a great plan to kidnap Erika the only thing her father cares about in order to find a friend of his that disappeared after threatening to report him for using bad products in building houses.
Erika and Emmanuel really make the story she will not bow down to him and her snarky comments drive him insane, but it is what it is with her. He just wants her to see what her father is really doing and get her to come around to his side.
Eventually all things work out and it makes this book a must read.

This is fantastic being I read the first one in the series I was more than ready for this one. I also enjoy these type of plots in a story because you get to see the pieces fall where they may then come together all different then what the characters think lol. This one centers around Emanuel and Erika whom both have a agenda which they think they have the top idea. As the drama unfolds the heat ignites with these two slow simmer. Then it will start to bubble and boil with you sweating as it does. She will sweep you along with these two taking side bets in my head on who crumbles first but loving the suspense. The truth does come in at just the right time with you even more involved with them. before you know it though you have gone and are no landed back home because this one is done.

This is a fast paced sexy hot read that keeps you flipping pages. Carmen Falcone is one of the most talented authors on creating the perfect book boyfriends. Emanuel is hot kidnapper that takes Erika and Erika is attracted to him, need I say anymore. I enjoyed this story so much, I was glued from the first page until the last word. I highly recommend this book or any book by this fabulous author. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book from publisher via NetGalley.

Erika is receiving the Business Man of the Year award. No, that isn't a typo, she's accepting for her Dad, Silas, who asked her to attend on his behalf. She had no idea what was so important that he couldn't make it, but Erika, head of the charity bearing her late mother's name, will do as he asked. Though she has no idea why he insisted she have security accompany her at all times. Of the three awaiting her departure, one seems familiar, but she can't place him. Ahh, problem solved. He's worked for her Dad a few times in the past, though never as a guard for her. Right now, her body is conjuring up naughty thoughts on the things they could do together. But as she's gotten involved with an employee before, and it ended very badly, she works on pushing her attraction away. Which now leaves her to focus on an odd feeling, one telling her something is off.

"Then why are you kidnapping me?" - Erika
"Because you mean a lot to your father, and unless he plays by my rules, he's not ever seeing you again." - Emanuel

Emanuel, a financial investor, has been biding his time since becoming president of a non-profit. He noticed Silas's embezzling and refusing to let him get away with it. Silas's actions caused women and children to die, and Emanuel can't let it go unpunished. Though he wants to comfort Erika when she realizes the position she's now in, he refrains, knowing that urge, and his attraction to her, can't be indulged. But if she had a different Dad... Plus, she'd been engaged to his older brother, Bruno, a few years prior. He needs Erika as leverage so Silas will hand over Raul, the only witness to his crime.

Erika, once they arrive at their destination, is beginning to understand the danger she's truly in, though she doesn't believe her Dad is capable of what Emanuel is accusing him of. But these things aren't enough to deny the reaction she has to Emanuel's touch. As for Emanuel, he has to stop picturing Erika in his bed and remind himself what her father is capable of, while helping her see the truth about her father.

As Emanuel and Erika embark on their journey for the truth, their chemistry is undeniable and they succumb to it. Though both state it can only be temporary, Emanuel and Erika know their connection is only growing stronger and the thought of it ending is painful to accept.

Is Emanuel willing to do whatever necessary to bring Silas down, even if Erika becomes collateral damage? Has Erika finally found a man that doesn't want anything from her? Or is Emanuel like all the others, using her for their own agendas? Is Erika's father guilty of all Emanuel believes him to be? Will Emanuel and Erika admit their love for one another and find a way to be together? Will the revelation of her Dad's actions impact her and the charity she oversees to honor her Mom? Is there a HEA in their future?

One-click now and follow along as two people, initially on opposite sides, come to an agreement while unsure of their future together.

I am a huge Carmen Falcone fan her books are always fantastic reads so when I heard about the Brazilian Capture I was thrilled to dive into this story. When I got the chance to read it early I dived into the story as soon as I could and it was fantastic.

In this book we mainly follow Emanuel and Erika and lets just say these two do not start of on the best footing . Emanuel kidnaps Erika , however as the story goes on and we find out more and more about why he doing this and of course there feeling towards each other become more and more intense , things unfold in some very unexpected ways. I loved the romance in this story , I mean yes of course they do not start of the best footing ,however as these two become closer things between then change and of course the chemistry between them was just off the charts. Carmen Falcone always delivers red hot steamy romance in her books, I always find my self so invested in the characters by the time I finish reading one of her books .However there is more to this story than the steamy romance , as we get deeper into it we find out more about what Silas really did and all of effects of that .This book constantly kept me one my toes and I love that in my stories. Iam so happy with the ending Emanuel and Erika got and I cannot wait to see what Carmen Falcone will write next . If you are looking for a sexy ,adventurous , addicting contemporary romance then you should definitely pick up this book .

Holy Hell! This book was sooo good! This was the first book I've read by this author, but I just one-clicked the rest of her collection! I absolutely love kidnapping troupes, but this one was so well done! Emanuel Duarte has become a vigilante and Erika Lancaster is collateral damage. (side fun fact she used to be engaged to his brother-from what I got it was business not pleasure) He kidnaps her to get her father to give back someone he took. They fall in love along the way and she learns her life isn't what is seems. An absolute must read!

This is a great fast paced read that is a super steamy romance with a bit of suspense. Emanuel Duarte is determined to take down his adversary Silas Lancaster. He knows the only thing Lancaster cares about in this world is his daughter Erika so he hits the man where it hurts and kidnaps her. It doesn't take long for Emanuel to realize he may have bit off more than he bargained for. Erika is strong, determined, and so incredibly tempting. And she doesn't believe a word he's telling her about her father. When Emanuel takes Erika to Brazil she comes up with a plan to seduce him and then attempt to get away. Now Erika is in way over her head!

Don't miss this great romantic suspense. I recommend it.

This book was hotter than hell.

I find that the kidnapping trope in romance novels has to be handled well for me to get on board. In this case, it was handled very well. Emmanuel made for a dreamy, noble hero with just enough of a dark side to tickle my fancy. I just wish he was named something a little...sexier.

Erika was an excellent heroine—smart, witty, headstrong. She didn't put up with any of Emmanuel's crap and I loved her for it. Her thought process about the whole ordeal was spot on. One of the things I normally hate about many books that feature kidnappings is the heroine's inability/lack of desire to fight back once the attraction starts. Not Erika. She was tough as nails and didn't make me roll my eyes even once.

And the chemistry between them? Holy moly ravioli.

This book was well-written, with evocative descriptions of the Amazon that made me want to visit immediately. The only complaint I have was that the plot was a bit predictable, but hell—the rest was good enough for me to look over that.

All in all? This steamy read will be on my mind for some time. Get out there and read it!

I was interested in Carmen Falcone’s Brazilian Capture for two reasons. One) our hero is Brazilian and the story is set in the Amazon, and Two) it’s a captor/captee story. I always love to see how the hero/heroine overcomes the captive scenario and fall for each other. This story doesn’t disappoint!

I really adored Erika. She’s so clever and a few times I found myself sitting as close to my kindle as I could, laughing at her daring. She’s always looking for a way out, but she also approaches her situation carefully and thoughtfully. Erika’s a worthy opponent and one that keeps our hero on his toes!

Then there’s Emanuel who tries to keep up with our heroine with his Portuguese accent and his mystery and sex appeal…The heat was drifting off this guy’s skin!

But Erika and Emanuel both have hearts of gold too. Emanuel wants to do right by the family he promises to help—going so far as to kidnap Erika. He also wants to right his own past wrongs. And Erika’s the head of a foundation in her mother’s name, combating this new information about her father. Her loyalty pulls her one way, but Emanuel’s nature and his insistence pull her another.

The suspense was just alive and kicking. Though the connection does happen fairly quickly, it’s set up in a way that I believed, and it amped the attraction between them. I loved both of these characters, and together, they were dynamite.

3.5 stars!

a good solid story. I liked how the story began and ended. Good overall writing.

This is a wonderful book that I just loved. It's a fast paced romance with a bit of suspense. In it, Erika is a wealthy socialite who heads a charitable foundation, but doesn't seem to look at the details too closely. Emanuel is a self made wealthy man who kidnaps her as a way to force her father to do the right thing and turn over a man he believes her father kidnapped.

Before long, Emanuel has whisked her away to Brazil. He seems to have planned for everything except for his own reaction to Erika. Erika, while wanting to believe the best of her father, can no longer bury her head in the sand.

The author has described Brazil and the Amazon is such a way that the setting almost becomes a character in its own right.

I totally enjoyed this book and found myself turning pages as quickly as possible to see what happened next. I was sorry when it ended and can't wait to see what the author will write next.
