As expected, another great selection of upcoming books! :)
I always like to check the Buzz Books Monthly and the Buzz Books YA Seasonal editions to get a sample of lots of books that I wouldn't ordinarily seek out excerpts of on my own. The June edition had a few good excerpts from authors I had heard of, such as Nora Roberts with "Come Sundown", whom I have never read before. I will likely give that particular book a full read, but enjoyed the other excerpt offerings as well.
Awesome as usual, I particularly liked the Roxanne Gay exerpt!
Truly the best guide for monthly book releases, excerpts and info!
I love the Buzz Books Monthly - it's a great way to beef up my already-too-long TBR list... June especially has some very interesting titles being released. Both Dividing Eden (YA) and Carnivalesque (general adult) have been on my radar, and I am excited to read both of these, as well as several of the other titles that will be released.
I always love when these Buzz Books come available. It's an awesome way to be exposed to books you normally wouldn't reach for. It takes you out of your comfort zone. You get to read a few chapters of a book to see if you are going to like it or not. The best part is there is usually a link at the end of each one to click on to request! Brilliant!!
Great to see extracts from books that have/are being released.
Another great selection of titles to try to many books to add to the TBR.. Love!
Love these previews; looking forward to the Fall/Winter 2017 volumes.
Being able to read excerpts from new books is a great idea. I love Buzz books monthly from Netgalley. Can't wait to read The Marsh Kings Daughter. Brilliant first chapter!
This monthly edition brought excerpts from seven books releasing in June; a healthy mixture of genres. This time I ended up with 1 book being added to the ‘read now’ list - Come Sundown by Nora Roberts, 1 tossed on my heaping ‘maybe’ pile - The Marsh King’s Daughter by Karen Dionne and 4 others that didn’t pique my interest enough to even consider. I’m not typically one for memoirs, but I have to admit, there was something about the Hunger by Roxane Gay excerpt that grabbed me . . . still trying to decide what do with that—to read or not to read is the decision.
Just like with the other editions I’ve read, the round-up (a comprehensive list of all the monthly releases, by date and genre) was my favorite part. It’s nice to have a complete list, so I know I’m not missing out on anything noteworthy. Thanks, Publishers Lunch, for another great month.
I always love looking at these each month. It always gets me excited to read the upcoming books for each moth. I wish there was a wider YA selection this month, but still great! Super excited for Roxane Gay's Hunger!
Great selections! Cannot wait for these. Thank you for the previews!
It is wonderful to have a foretaste of the books to come in June. I liked having the lists of authors and titles. Particularly appreciated the excerpts given from the chosen books. An excellent idea!!
This is another great collection of excerpts! I can't wait to add some of these to my reading schedule and feature them on my blog.
This works perfectly on my kindle fire. Also, I found a new book I want to read. "The Marsh Kings daughter," sounds right up my alley! I think I'm going to enjoy having these monthly editions! Thanks, Publishers Lunch.
As always I found many books to add to my want to read list on Goodreads. and my wishlist on Amazon.
Good mix of samples shame there wasn't more YA but the two that were included were great! Extremely curious and excited to read more of Roar!
This edition has to be one of my favourites. Not only do you get to read an excerpt from Roar by Cara Carmack, but you also get to read one from Dividing Eden by Joelle Charbonneu. I didn't know how much I wanted to read Dividing Eden until I read chapter one.
The Adult title that really caught my eye was The Marsh King's Daughter. The synopsis and the excerpt have me hooked already. I can't wait to give these titles a read.
Great selections (as always)!! I cannot wait to read the full novels!
