Who are Rafe & Maresa? Where are they located? What do they do? Who is Mr. Holmes? Well, Mr. Holmes' arrival and what I learned about him was a complete surprise. The tension between Maresa and Mr. Holmes is palpable in the first chapter alone! Who is Jaden Torries? What bombshell does he drop on Maresa the day after Mr. Holmes arrived? Why does Jaden take off quickly? I have to say, I really like Cam. My heart breaks for Rafe, especially after being introduced to Isla. All I can say is I wish things happened like what I read in this book in real life. Talk about Prince Charming in disguise, or maybe the knight in shining armor coming to the rescue. Wow!

Like all Harlequin titles, feels like pulling on a comfy old pair of sweats - you wouldn't want to wear them outside of the house, but you love them anyways.

It was a little bit of a slog to get through the beginning but still a cute story.

I received a free copy of this book through netgalley and voluntarily reviewed it.

I've been enjoying this series so far, so I was looking forward to this third book that follows the last brother Cam and meeting the person he'll fall in love with. This was a great read, it was easy to fall into this story and I enjoyed seeing these two fall in love.

His Accidental Heir features Cam, who has always been the most impulse of the three brothers, although now that we actually get his point of view, he did seem a bit less so. But at the same time I felt like we got a better view of him less overshadowed by that one personality trait, but it was still there. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy Cameron because of his impulse action in the first book, but I was surprised by how loving and caring he could be. He was so good with Maresa and caring for her family as well. And I liked how at the end of the book he realized a broadened meaning of the term family was a good thing. I also liked the dog who Cam was caring for in this book.

Maresa is the female main character here, she was a very capable character who worked hard and cared very much about her family. There's a instant attraction when she meets Cameron, but it takes a while before they act upon it. She has had a tough life and now an infant is dropped in her lap and I was impressed she handled it all so well and stayed caring and nice.

There is a tad of forbidden romance as he's technically her boss, besides that there's very little drama or conflict, which was nice. I did roll my eyes when Cam made the same "mistake" as his brother's did in the previous books. It just got a bit old and I had rather seen another plot point used as conflict.

I enjoyed this book. It was fun to see a short scene at the end where we saw the other brothers and their wives. I had hoped to meet the "other" McNeill's in this book, but that wasn't the case. I am happy to hear they all get their own book and this book will get 3 more books. If you're looking for a good solid romance with great characters I would recommend this series.

To summarize: this was another good book in this series. I liked getting to know the third brother, Cam. I wasn't sure if I would like him because of something that happened in book 1, but I was pleasantly surprised by his character and how nice and caring he was. I also liked Maresa, she has a lot going on, but she handled everything well and stays nice and caring. I liked reading about these two falling in love, although I didn't really care for the conflict as it was basically the same conflict point the previous two books used. But overall this is a fun series with solid romances and I am glad there will be 3 more books.

Feel-good romance at it’s best! The McNeill brothers are strong, powerful and take-charge kind of guys … but they are falling hard and becoming teddy bears as love crosses each of their paths! We saw Cameron heading out on a tear in the first book in the series, and now it’s finally his story. A sexy bachelor with a heart of gold reaches out to help a wounded soul. Looking forward to seeing what happens when more family is brought into the series!

When Cameron McNeill goes in undercover as a demanding guest at the latest McNeill Resorts acquisition in the Caribbean, he just plans to find out what is making their customer satisfaction scores go down lately. He doesn’t expect to fall under the spell of the lovely concierge Maresa Delphine, but he can’t deny his attraction to her … but first and foremost, he needs her help!

Maresa is dealing with one thing after another with her ailing family, and she’s just been handed an infant to raise on top of everything else. She is overwhelmed to say the least. When Cameron offers her a way to make ends meet more easily while progressing the health of those around her, how can she refuse … even if it does require becoming his bride for a year!

Wonderful and delightful story by Joanne Rock. It can totally be read as a standalone even though it's part of a series; and after this I certainly need to catch up with the previous books.

When Cameron McNeil decides to go as an undercover boss to check on his hotel, he certainly doesn't expect to feel attracted to his concierge, Maresa. And Maresa, oh dear, she's had such a tough life, but despite everything she has faced and continues to face she remains a gentle soul, and it's really hard not to feel sympathy for her and cheer for her, she's amazing.
The relationship between these two is fantastic, and it was a complete joy to read how it all starts to develop. And I should add I'm a total sucker for reading about guys and babies, there's just something I can't resist and this wasn't an exception.

Compelling characters and a well written and enchanting story? What more can you ask? Kudos to Joanne Rock!!

At first, I wasn't sure if I would like Cam. He came across as your typical cold/heartless SOB hero, but he grew on me as the story progressed. In fact, I was surprised how good this read was. Cam & Maresa had great chemistry and I loved how baby Isla stole his heart.

Cam turned out to be nothing like I imagined. He hid his complexities well. The playboy billionaire turned out to have his own set of demons that he hid quite well. The reckless and fearless tycoon, turned out to have one nick in his armor. The fear of not being good enough. Despite all his accomplishments, he saw himself as the weak link in the McNeill dynasty and he turned out to be much stronger than he knew. When a recent acquisition leads to events that rock his world, Cam finds himself discovering in his weakest moments, what his strengths really are. Maresa is a great heroine and a perfect counterpart to Cam. She humanizes him and he completes her. His Accidental Heir ended up surprising me.

Lately, I have been enjoying the publisher Harlequin's more casual romantic novels that are much more laid back within the storyline of the books and certainly not as serious in comparison to fellow romance novels on the modern market. "His Accidental Heir," is such a novel that had a great deal to like about the story and yet also contained a few flaws for me. These friendly romances are hardly my favorite reads and yet there is something about the solid foundations of both heart and family that I simply cannot get enough of.

When I talk about heart, this book or rather the novels' hero, Cameron did have much to admire. I liked Cameron a lot mostly for his masculinity. It might some odd to applaud a hero for being a man but it is a trait that I rarely find in contemporary romances. Most of the heroes I have uncovered are potential bad boys without a care for family, but with Cameron, he was a different kind of guy. I would love to see more of Cameron's characteristics in future romance novels. In other words, I vote for the sweet guys versus the bad boys for a change. (I do love a bad boy, however.)

Maresa, the heroine I think did get a bit of a surprise when she meant Cameron. The duo's chemistry worked out fairly well for the lighter tone of the romance and I liked how Maresa was dedicated to repairing her family. I very much liked how neither Maresa or Cameron were overly complicated. This was a straight forward story with beautiful moonlight rides among the more romantic highlights.

My largest flaw with this story is how slow the pace is. This book kind of drags on for too much time without much happening so it did take a bit of effort on my part to want to continue to finish the story. I would have liked to have seen a little more drama unfold, or perhaps the word I should use is more struggles for the characters.

Overall this was a great story and I am happy that I was able to read the novel from start to finish.

While a definite buy buy buy book, it has a few quirks that maybe readers will not like. One is the pace of the story. However, all in all a good read! I loved the characters. I enjoyed the story line and had such a range of emotions as I was reading that it is hard to be fair in the review now. Arguably it should be four stars, HOWEVER, due to the fact the characters were wonderful, it has compassion, passion, heart and soul and real life situations I gave five stars! I so enjoyed the book that it was hard for me not to want more to happen or more to continue in the story itself. A hearttouching read! I will look at the others in the series for this was definitely a read I enjoyed. I was given this book in return for a honest review. Anna
