In my opinion, this book was just ok. It was a quicker read than I thought it would be. And I thought it could have used more---of everything. Maybe the rest of the series will reveal a more enjoyable story.

I apologize but I was unable to get into this book so have not left any public reviews. I am removing older books from my profile and I am sorry that I was unable to read more of them. I will be more judicious in the future about which books I request and will keep up with publishing my reviews.

This was a cracking read and was actually better than I thought it was going to be. The scene setting was brilliantly done and it thrilled me in all the right places. As it’s a series I look forward to the next one.

What a fascinating book. I was impressed by the storyline and the characters were all well written and complex. Where there are complex storylines combined with intriguing characters the reader experience is magnified tremendously. To have a book that is well written as well as entertaining is a delight. Reading is about escaping your world and entering another one. The word building was phenomenal in this book. Here I forgot about my own life and was immersed in the world created by the author. I would recommend this book.

Not a bad read but I felt like the whole story could've been done in 2 parts and not 6. Overall, a pretty good read, the intrigue and suspense is what I enjoyed.

The idea of a serial novel is intriguing, and I have read one other that worked. But for this idea to work, the story has to immediately grab the reader and make you have to know more. Sadly, this one doesn't do that for me. The first installment of the story just doesn't give enough details or mystery to set the hook. For me, the characters weren't all that likable and nothing really made sense. I know that something happened in the sisters' past that they don't want anyone to know about; I know there is abuse; and I know that someone knows their secret.

I think the author has the potential to make this a good story, but the installment/serial method isn't the way. Maybe the story would be much more effective if published as a normal novel.

I will give another book by this author a chance as I feel that it is the method of this story and the presentation that didn't work for me.

Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced read in exchange for this review.

I could barely get through this book, The best part about it was that it was short and took me about half an hour to get through. The descriptions of her family members were weird and overly described, especially the husband. The only clue I could find to help figure out the secret of the family was a memory of playing in the meadow.
Will not be reading on to part 2.

This one was just okay for me! Didn't love it but didn't hate it either. Also didn't realize it was just one short part of a whole story! Thanks for the opportunity to review

I liked this book but disappointed that I have to wait for the next one to find out the rest. The relationship between the sisters gives a bittersweet story line to the book. Sarah’s perfect not so perfect life. Her relationship with her to noisy motherinlaw. I hope I can get the next part in the series.

I really liked this book and I am looking forward to continuing on with the series. This was a book I didn't want to put down and when I wasn't reading it I was wondering what was going to happen next.

First of all, it's an interesting concept to break a book into parts and then sell them individually. It was awesome to receive Part 1 from NetGalley, but I doubt I will buy the other 5 parts to read and finish this...which is a shame. So far, it's a very interesting novel. There are lots of secrets to unravel and emotions to uncover.

This kind of gave me a 50 Shades vibe, so this is a warning if you avoid those types of books. It will be interesting to see how the story unfolds and how the characters grow, but I may never find out! Ha.

*Thank you to Netgalley and Harlequin for the ARC, for which I have given an honest and unbiased review*

Take It to the Grave Part One by Zoe Carter was a good read. Sarah is getting ready for her sons christening. Life is perfect except for the fact that her sister is coming.

Meh...didn't love it, didn't hate it. I feel like the plot is a little played out. Sisters Sara and Maisey have a complicated relationship and lead different lives. One is a serial dater, one is in a terrible marriage and has a b**** for a mother-in-law. A mysterious note alters their lives. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and Netgalley for providing me an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Unfortunately, this serial type book didn’t work for me. I will not be rating or reviewing this title. Thank you for the opportunity.

I didn't realize that this book was only 67 pages. I am very disappointed that you have to buy the remaining 5 books to get the rest of the story. This "story" will cost you $12 to read the whole series when you can get a full book for way less than that. The book was a little weird. You have Maisey who is in Thailand and she has issues with relationships and settling down. She explains some things about what happened when she was younger with her family dynamic which explains why she has issues with relationships. Then you have Sarah who had a baby 3 months ago and everyone thinks that she should be back to her original weight, her mother in law is a b**ch and is forcing Sarah to get a hold of her family and have them come for a week over the summer but Sarah doesn't really want to. Sarah's husband is very overbearing, rude and selfish. There aren't a lot of likable characters There was no cohesiveness in this book and I wish it was the full book to understand everything. I am only giving it 2 stars because there isn't really enough to even give a good report on the book and the lack of any depth in this first book.

This is a good creepy but creepy none the less. The story of a perfect family isn’t what it seems. There are dark things amuck in this family. from Sarah’s husband’s mom, to her husband and the deal with her family and sister.

Outward Sarah and her husband seem like the perfect couple but are they? That is the question. His actions are creepy crawly and have the hairs on end. He is demanding and condescending at times as well. When around others he is a charmer alright. Could sell ice to eskimos charmer. His mom is really condescending and just not a nice person.

Sarah is trying to keep up the facade but is scared. Scared of her past, of losing her son and of the shadows that follow her. He life is flimsily kept together and it seems that it is all about to fall apart. Her sister Maisey seems fun and flighty but you can tell there is damage from the past as well there. She runs when things with others gets too close. And now I think their worlds are going to collide and cause chaos.

A creepy story with lots of foreshadowing of danger to come and one that keeps your hair on end and toes curled but you don’t want to stop.

Serial books can be hit or miss. I just didn't feel that I got a good grasp of what would be expected. There was a lot of information thrown at you, but it just felt all over.

A book by installments sounds like an interesting idea - 19th century authors used that technique and was very popular.
However, the author introduces all these unlikable characters without really explaining them, the switching of time & place is done rather clumsily and I don't care enough about what the horrifying email means, to keep reading.
