    Another GREAT At Ease story, I cannot wait to read what comes next. No matter what is going on as soon as I get my grubby hands on one of her stories I can't wait to sit back, kick up my feet and read what's happening with the guys on the ranch, they all deserve their happily ever after. Each story is its own standalone HRA love story but each one builds a bigger picture while you get individual backgrounds of one specific couple. I haven't read any of Donna's other series yet but just by the titles they make me want to jump right in and see how hot they are. This is Cord and Haley's story, two people whom want the other but are afraid to act upon their attraction because of Drew..... The one ranger who didn't make it home with them. You'll have to read The Right Ranger to find out their story, oh but it's MORE than worth the time! Another excellent romance from Donna Michaels' "The Men of At Ease Ranch" series.  The men of At Ease Ranch are ex military/cowboys with plenty of macho and sex appeal. 

In this book we met Cord who is going to help Haley a fallen Ranger's wife that lives near his hometown of Joyful.  As Drew took his last breath Cord promised him would look after his wife Haley. The problem is that Cord has been half in love with Haley for years so until now he has kept his promise from a distance out of respect. Haley is losing her ranch and trying to revive it by opening a horse boarding service but when her only remaining ranch hand breaks a leg she has to ask for his help to get the fences up in time.

It doesn't take long for things to heat up. They are both keeping secrets that could tear them apart.
Will they be able to revive their relationship when all is revealed? Be sure to read this sexy romance to find out.

This is the third book in the series so the delightful characters that were introduced in book 1 & 2 are present in this book. The book is written as a standalone so it is not necessary to read the series in order but if you haven't read the first two you are truly missing out on some great books.

Fun and sexy off-limits romance with a strong simmering attraction while trying to do the right out of honour

The Right Ranger is an off-limits romance that is a wonderful addition to this small town series. With an undercurrent of simmering attraction that teeters on the edge of spilling over whenever the two characters are together, the strong sense of doing the right thing in order to honour leads to secrets unravelling in surprising twists to make this a fun read!

Told from dual point of view, Haley and Cord have a seriously sizzling attraction but their misplaced honour threatens to keep them apart. Both Haley and Cord have a strong stubborn streak in them, especially Haley who is determined to be independent and not need to rely on anyone to help with her ranch. However, when forced into close quarters for a period of time, things heat up and that stubborn streak turns in a rather sexy heat! 

While this is book three in the series and couples from earlier books do crop up, you do not need to  have read the previous books as this is a standalone read. 

Definitely recommend this book and series, especially if you lean towards cowboy/former army men!

Former Army Ranger Cord Brannigan made a promise to his fallen brother that he would care for the wife that he would be leaving behind, so, when she calls requesting his help he packs a bag and heads to her ranch. Once he arrives though he learns that she has plans for him, plans that include him staying in her home for the next three weeks, and to say that Cord is a little apprehensive about that is a complete understatement. She is beautiful, tempting, and he knows he is going to have a hard time remembering that she if off limits... it's going to be a long three weeks!

Haley Wagner is a strong, capable, and very determined woman, and when she wants something she stops at nothing to get it, and right now she wants to save her ranch. She has a lot of work ahead of her and a short amount of time to accomplish all of it, and as much as she hates asking for help she knows she has to, so she calls on her husband's buddy for help. Asking Cord to come and help her out seems like a good plan, that is until he is standing before her, he is one gorgeous man, and being around him for the next three weeks is going to be complete torture. But sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures...

This captivating read pulled me in from the from the first sentence and had me flying through the pages in search of what I hoped to be a very well deserved happily ever after, and I am happy to report that I found just what I was looking for... and more! The story line was rich with heartfelt emotion, witty humor that made me smile, and steamy sexy times that curled my toes! I enjoyed my time with these two, Haley was feisty, determined and daring, and it was fun to watch Cord try to handle all she dished out!! Highly recommend this sweet and sexy read, it's sure to inspire you to comeback for more!!

The guys at At-Ease Ranch are a special group of veterans working to assist other vets, either injured or need help transitioning.  We've seen Brick and Stone break down their walls and open their hearts to love, now it's Cord's turn.  Cord has been around for the other books, especially for Brick's story as he dated Cord's sister Beth.  He's tough, honorable, trustworthy and all male.  For years he's loved his buddy's widow, Haley, but kept his feelings a secret because of their code.  Haley doesn't follow the same code, since her husband died she wasn't exactly torn up.  Her husband did something to lose her respect and basically hurt her heart enough to shut down a future.  It's not hard to figure out the end result when Cord helps Haley put her ranch together for a new business.  Their relationship is fun, flirty, and full of fireworks.  I love a quick read that hits all the fun spots of a romance, and Lulu Belle returns to taunt Jovy.  Great series!  I received an ARC from Netgalley and wrote my review voluntarily.

This book is like a fresh baked brownie with ice cream on top! Hot and sweet and oh so good!

Haley is a fiercely independent woman who doesn't want to depend on anyone. Cord is the picture of what I expect from an exRanger now Rancher. Then, something happens where she has to reach out for help. 

I found this book to be flirty and fun. I really enjoyed seeing two stubborn people realize that with trust it could be everything.

I've loved this whole series and this may be my favorite to date.  Haley and Cord just work so well together I couldn't help but fall in love with them.  There's a nice easy flow to the story that just keeps you turning the pages.  This is a great story of two people fighting an attraction due to a sense of honor but in the end is inevitable.  They both keep secrets that could hurt the other and could ultimately drive them apart.  Grab a copy of this one and enjoy their story!  I highly recommend it.

When former army ranger Cord receives a call for assistance from his army buddy's wife he goes to her immediately. Haley having lost her husband in war has had a difficult time keeping the ranch going and hopes that Cord can help her with some of the heavy duty work. Cord and Haley have great chemistry but Cord will not be with Haley because of her late husband and the guilt he holds for his death. Will they be able to resist one another.

This was honestly my first book in this series.  However, after reading this, I definitely want to go back and read the first two.  I loved the relationship between Cord and Haylee.  I thought they had great chemistry and they were so sweet together.  While frustrating at times, I definitely swooned hard and rooted for them throughout the whole book.  This was such a sweet story and I found myself caught up in the world that Donna built here.  I definitely look forward to reading more from this series and from this author.

4.5 Stars I found myself taken into the pages of The Right Ranger from falling in love with the strength and emotions of the characters and their stories. This story was well written and continues the series with Former Army Ranger Cord Brannigan and Haley Wagner a woman struggling to keep her ranch afloat and needing to reach out to Cord for help. If you haven’t read this series yet do yourself a favour and add it to your list you won’t be disappointed

This book is the third book in the series but they all completely stand alone (no cliffhangers) so you can read them in any order as long as you don't mind small details about the previous couples being spoiled. There is both cursing and on-screen sex in this one, so if that isn't your jam, you might not enjoy this, but you'll be missing a beautiful story...and, to be totally honest, really hot chemistry.

This book was exactly – EXACTLY – what I wanted for Cord and Haley's story. When we met serious, stoic, by-the-book Cord in the previous books, I knew that a woman was going to take him down to his knees hard and I was just hoping that it would be Haley and that their story would have the kind of intensity and chemistry that a relationship featuring a character like Cord should bring, and this book did not disappoint. These two had amazing chemistry from the very beginning, and it was so much fun watching them dance around each other, knowing that they wouldn't be able to resist their attraction. I get the whole “Ranger code” and all that, but I have no idea how the two of them held out for as long as they did, considering the sparks that flew between them.

This series has been so wonderful that I hope that there are more to come because I cannot get enough of the Men of At Ease Ranch. If you like a book about 'forbidden romance' (which is mostly only forbidden in their minds) and a book about two really great characters who find love together despite fighting it as hard as they can, you have got to read this book.

Haley is in a tough spot, she needs to get her ranch ready for boarding horses in three weeks, and has no choice but to ask Cord for help. 
Cord has managed to control his attraction towards Haley but now working and staying at her ranch, controlling it is getting tougher and tougher. 
This is the third book in the Men at Ease ranch series, and the series keeps getting better and better. I just loved Cord and Haley. I loved how being with each other made them just let go and be at peace with everything. I also enjoyed reconnecting with the characters from the previous men at ease series and Lulu Belle :))

The third book in Donna Michaels The Men of At Ease Ranch continues to tell the tales of trouble veterans and their daily battle with the memories and losses of years past and their need to distance themselves from the joys of life.

My infatuation with this series has not diminished, as once again Ms Michaels has penned a believable story with wonderful characters that will fight for what they believe in, and love to the depth of their very souls. Cord and Haley will capture your hearts and have you longing for their HEA.

Cade always knew he had an attraction to one of his friends wife Haley, but when his friend dies on their last mission he knows a secret he never won't to reveal. Cade gets a call from Haley where she asks for help at her ranch. They both feel an attraction that's to hard to resist. But can they make it more than a one night stand with Haley also keeping secrets of her own?

A wonderful sweet story about love that's been brewing for years. The chemistry between them is well written and filled with emotions.

I'm absolutely in love with the man at At Ease ranch and Cade is no exception. He's a compassionate, caring guy who wants to honour his his friends memory by not revealing his secret. 

Haley has her own feelings to struggle with and can't help her attraction to the hot cowboy helping her out.

The storyline is good and there is no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings. There is also a good amount of dialogues which makes it a great read in my opinion.

This is not a "wow" story but it's a warm heartfelt story about love that survives because it's supposed to be.....

Once I decided to start reading/reviewing again I told myself that if I read 15% every night for a week I could finish a book a week.

The other night, I was dog tired but managed to 12%. Keeping my own word I continued in order to get to 15%...

Turns out you can't just read...

The Right Ranger makes you turn "one more age" or "one more chapter" about eight+ times.

The only reason I stopped was it was late, my eyes were streaming because I was keeping them open and my Kindle was about dead.

From the 1st page I got addicted to Haley, Cord & Their Chemistry because I feel like it should be dealt with as a 3rd person because you actually sense it. You don't read it, you feel it & see it as your eyes flit across the pages.

And you know what, they don't lock theirselves away as though it's going to eat them alive either.

They know that due to Haleys deceased husband/Cord's Ranger buddy there is going to be a 'thing' against them in their heads BUT you know what I love, they don't completely deny it or fight it.

Cord arrived at Haleys place to help out, not sure how long for or why but he made a promise to Drew that he'd watch over Haley.

Haley is starting a new business adventure and needs help to change the ranch around from cattle to horses.

3 weeks of Cord under her roof.

It's lovely to watch them both change, become more open and see them smile as it happens.

It's amazing to see Cord bothered about Haley leaving him in bed their first night and not the other way around.

It's just an amazing read that you have to shout from the roof tops!

The Right Ranger by Donna Michaels is the third book in her Men of At Ease Ranch. I have read all three and really think that this one is my favorite. This is Cord and Hayley's story and I loved it so I'd give it 5 stars for everything and hope that there will be more books in the series.

Cord Brannigan made a dying promise to his teammate Drew but he has a secret that could break Hayley's heart. Little does he know that she already is aware of the secret and is ready to move on with her life. She has asked Cord to help her make her ranch into a boarding facility but only has three weeks to complete it before the first horses arrive. When he finds out that Hayley's only ranch hand has a broken leg the tasks seem a bit larger especially with the time crunch. But can he keep his hands off her? He hopes that she has felt an attraction they have, could they have a future together?

Hayley Wagner wants only two things to make her ranch a success and let Cord know that she is ready to move on from Drew and if she has to make the first move then so be it. But even though Cord feels a loyalty to his former teammate what he doesn't know is that Hayley knows the kind of person Drew was and also who his death benefit divided out to. But when these two get together finally sparks will fly, but when he finds some paperwork of Hayley's will Brick, Stone, Lizzie and Jovy be able to set him on the right path so that both Hayley and Cord can finally have their own happiness?

I was waiting for Cord's story, I have always liked him, and still do.  I love this group of guys, always there for each other.  The only thing that I did not care for, was that Cord was still loyal to Drew, I understand that Rangers stick together, but Drew was a cheater, and yet his loyalty went to him, instead of Haylee who deserved it, she was a great girl.  I did understand Haylee's  point of view in that she did not want to besmirch the guys memory of there friend, but she deserved happiness.  I was happy that they did give each other a chance, and I have to say that Beth did redeem herself in my eyes, I did not care for her in the last book, but she did show she really care for her brother.

I have really enjoyed this whole series and getting to know Cord and Haley was fun! This couple is HOT, stubborn and at times lots of fun but they also have some major issues to work out. If you are following this series you will not want to skip this one! If you are new to the series, this great couple is worth the time to get to know!

Loved! I love this series and this book was a wonderful addition to the series. Haley is the widow of one of Cord's fellow rangers. She owns a ranch that is struggling financially, and as she changes its focus to horse boarding, she calls Cord for help.

Cord has been in love with Haley for years, but has never acted on it because of the ranger code, but his ranger team mate has been dead for years... Haley has always been attracted to Cord, but would never act on it because of her marriage. With the two of them working closely together, the sparks fly and the pages of my kindle practically sizzled.

Fans of the genre will love this book. While it is part of a series, this is a stand alone novel. The author is on my must read authors' list.
