What does a computer wizard, a hacker and an FBI Agent have in common? This forced proximity office romance has a ton of witty banter. With a plot that is fast paced, fabulously sexy one-liners and a fun story this sinfully sweet book cation is a fun escape.

Would you risk your job for an office romance? The chemistry between Cassie and Drew is off the charts. What will happen when Cassie discovers the real reason Drew is working with her? Can they keep it office friendly? This office work romance is fast paced, fun, and full of charm.

The Wrong Kind of Compatible was hilariously funny with such awkwardness with its H and h. It was a quick fun read that held my attention to the end. It could have been a little longer but it was still enjoyable to read.
Cassie and Drew begin working together but their chemistry is so hot that they begin to ""work"" after hours as well. Too bad Drew is carrying a big secret.

Not really for me. Not a big InstaLust fan. Had a fun plot line and was otherwise well-written!

THE WRONG KIND OF COMPATIBLE is a cute, steamy, sexy and fun read. Author Kadie Scott gives a good look at nerd world of analysts and computers, but in a way that we who are not so savvy can understand. Cassie and Drew are an amazingly perfect couple, but of course, things have to get a little sideways for them. After her mom and his friend talk to them separately, they finally managed to work toward finding the truth. The conflict was realistic and not too tedious, as a romance reader I sometimes find getting to the happily ever after can be dragged out to the point of wanting to scream at the couple, though I guess yelling at the writer might be better. Still, you get the gist of real life, and the drama's everyone goes through in their everyday life, while adding in a sweet romance, intriguing mystery and quite a bit of fun. I loved it when he announced that he loved her in front of her co-workers. It was very dramatic and would have garnered applause anywhere. The secondary characters, who seemed like everyday people you would find in any office were all awesome, and even the bad guys came out as a bit of a surprise.

If you are looking for everyday people, in extraordinary circumstances, a sweet and often nerdy romance, a hero that isn't all brawn and a heroine that has a brain and knows how to use it then get your hands on THE WRONG KIND OF COMPATIBLE.

The Wrong Kind of Compatible by Kadie Scott
Book #1: Love Undercover Series
Source: Netgalley
My Rating: 3/5 stars
My Mini-Review:

The Bottom Line: I tend to allow my book reviews to pile up, and then get written during a marathon session. I find, as soon as I pull the book up on Goodreads, the read just floods my memory and off I go . . . . Unfortunately, not much flooded my memory with The Wrong Kind of Compatible. I liked Cassie and Drew just fine, I generally enjoyed the story, but I wasn’t blown away. Cassie is by far the strongest character with her no edit button mouth and her belief in her superior skills. She’s strong and funny (though she doesn’t always intend to be funny) and I liked her. Drew is fine though I’m not sure he ever exhibited enough of anything (other than computer skills) to be a true match for Cassie. This isn’t a book I would eliminate from your TBR list, but I also wouldn’t push it near the top any time soon either. To be completely honest, there wasn’t much here that hasn’t been done a thousand times over in other books. With that being said, if you’re looking for a quick and easy read that won’t tax your brain power, but will, at least mildly entertain you, try out The Wrong Kind of Compatible.

This was such a cute book, Cassie was funny, and so awkward and quirky that I am happy she found someone like herself. Drew, a nerdy hottie, that no one understood his language except Cassie. Their banter was too adorable. Poor Drew, he wanted to do the right thing, but kept going back and forth, and when he finally gives in, he is heartbroken mistakenly so. Then poor Cassie, she is also confused and understandably frustrated with Drew's back and forth. Then when he attacks her, poor girl, but she is awesome and figured everything out, and they adorkably fixed everything..I hope we get to read about Max.

If you’re looking for a quirky and really cute read then The Wrong Kind of Compatible is the perfect novel. Main characters Drew and Cassie are the ultimate nerds who are just too perfect for one another. Cassie is an awkward but brilliant data analyst who meets the new sexy analyst Drew sparks begin to fly. Only Cassie has no clue that the hot but adorably dorky new employee is actually an undercover FBI Agent that was sent to hack and investigate her and her company for corporation espionage/information theft. When lines begin to blur and boundaries are tested, how will Drew handle the complication? The novel was too cute and Drew and Cassie are two sides of the same coin. Both weird and socially awkward but just so unbelievably adorable for one another. I would definitely recommend this light hearted read. It was a 4 star read for me.

Emerald Book Reviews

The Wrong Kind of Compatible is an absolutely charming romance, mixed heavily with nerd innuendo, drama, conspiracy, comedy, sexual tension and butterfly-inducing romance.

'"You really want to keep going?"
"I could go all night."
By his minuscule flinch, she guessed he hadn't meant to put that one out there. She found the unintentional ones the most adorable because she could see how secretly annoyed with himself he got. She liked the awkward side to him. He was too dang good-looking and scary brilliant. The awkward made him...human....and safe in a strange way.'

I have to confess that #hotnerds are my favourite kind of hero and FBI undercover hacking specialist Drew Kerrigan is the epitome of hot nerd. Intelligent, sweet, funny and with a supercharged sexual energy surrounding him twenty-four seven, Drew made for one incredible male protagonist.
What elevated TWKC from a good rom-com story to an exceptional one was the characterisation of Cassie. Packed full of smarts, sass and the inability to keep her thoughts to herself, Cassie was at times unintentionally hilarious and at others full of this awkward kind of brilliance. She is utterly endearing to the reader, socially inept, cute as a button and when she and Drew are forced to work side by side, day in and day out the pages are a simmering mess of sexual frustration, miscommunication and a few secrets that will change everything.

Kadie Scott has delivered a wonderfully witty romantic comedy that just sparkles with charm, fun and hard won love. Her writing is masterful, flowing seamlessly from one point of view to the next with dialogue that is both fresh, funny and entertaining from the very first page until The End.

THE WRONG KIND OF COMPATIBLE is amazingly hot, funny and intense with unforgettable, geeky characters. Two thumbs up!!

I've always liked geeky characters, but Cassie and Drew are the best I've read so far. I love their banter, especially the geeky one-liners that were so full of sexual innuendos--whether intentional or not.

Drew is a great hero; he doesn't have much social graces, has to consult books on how to act around Cassie, and did I mention that he's a geek? Who says the best kind of heroes have all to be dark, brooding playboy alphas? Drew is my favorite kind of hero, because I bet he represents most of the guys we know and have experience with. In that way, it makes him relatable and endearing. He's so adorable, especially when he went into a bookstore to find books that would help him win Cassie over. However, he didn't totally eclipse Cassie, who's an amazing heroine in her own right. She's funny, delightful and engaging. I love her no brains-to-mouth filter, and I love how she gets all his jokes, how she understands him in a way others don't, and vice-versa. It's really a match made in computer heaven.

And how awesome is it that the geekiness of our characters seem like another character itself? Each interaction, each word that comes out of their mouth reinforces that these are brilliant, brainy people, and I have to applaud the author for being able to totally immerse the reader in her world.

I have a feeling I'm not doing the book justice with this review, so the final thing I want to say is: Just go pick up this book and read it! You won't go wrong. Highly recommended! This is definitely going on my keeper shelf. I had never had so much fun as with this book. And really, a hot, geeky hero? I dare you to resist.

The Wrong Kind of Compatible is so cute! And sweet and adorable and kinda sexy. Cassie is a data analyst with a brilliant brain. She's a certified adorable nerd with no filter between her brain and her mouth. When she meets the hot, nerdy guy with glasses who's to become the new analyst working with her directly, she's flustered, and turned on.

Drew is just as flustered as Cassie, even more so, because he's not there to really work with her. He's an FBI agent undercover and he's just discovered the woman he has to investigate is hot in an adorable, nerdy kind of way, and he wants to do more than just investigate her...

So what happens when two brilliant computer geeks meet and work together? Well, in Drew and Cassie's case, they banter nerd jokes and discover those turn each other on. Then they finally, finally, start steaming up their zip drives and they're both falling, hard. But, what will Cassie think when she finds out the guy she's falling for is investigating her for cyber crimes? And what will Drew do when he realizes the woman he's falling for can't possibly be a criminal?

I love this adorable story. It's got lots of heart, it's sexy, it's sweet, it's awkward, and it's just plain great!

Oh, this book.  What a wonderfully funny treat!

The characters of Cassie and Drew are pitched just right - an absolutely ideal balance of awkward with humour and snark. Set that against a well executed plot and a flowing narrative with no unnecessarily  jarring drama and you have a winning formula!

Thoroughly recommended.

An intriguing story that's well thought out and written. There's Cassie, she's a super nerd data analyst and Drew her supposed assistant, who unknown to her is really a top undercover FBI agent and hacker who's secretly investigating her for shady dealings and theft.
He digs deep but it becomes even more interesting when his plans begin to blur and Drew and Cassie's feelings become involved.
Good character and plot development with a very satisfying conclusion.
I found this to be a wonderful story and hard to put down and I didn't until I'd finished.
A marvellous read, I look forward to more work from this author.

My favorite kind of romances are ones with geeks and nerds in them. It's really so cute with them! But a common stereotype that is found usually are blushing, stammering, inexperienced characters.I'm so glad that the author avoided that!

Our main character is Cassie who is super-intelligent and feisty, but has no control over the way her thoughts come out of her mouth directly!Lol!She's a master at her work, but now her company has assigned a new analyst to work with her.And if that isn't enough to annoy her, he's hot as hell and has her feeling things she'd rather not be feeling..

Drew has been sent undercover into Data Minds to uncover the truth behind some of their shady dealings. And he's adept at computers, but not at charming people with his social skills. And to complicate matters is the attraction that feels for Cassie. But what will happen when he finds out who is behind the stuff happening?Could it be Cassie?Would it destroy the relationship that he's managed to build with her?

Both Cassie and Drew were really amazing protagonists! Both had their fair share of issues to work through.Though Cassie is super talented, she still fares pretty low by her family standards, due to the work that she does. But I loved how by the end, her mother still helped her out emotionally!Family is family. :)
Drew was also super cool.He was steadfast in his decision to not suspect Cassie in the beginning. But, it was so stupid when he suspected her!He could have atleast asked about it!But, they managed to sort it out in the end!
I really loved the banter between them and their exchange of nerdy, double innuendos! It had me giggling!Neither of them were too shy. They were realistic!I love how they went after what they wanted!

So, if you're looking for a light hearted, sweet romance with two awesome geeks, I'd suggest this one!You will definitely enjoy it!

3.5 “FBI & Sexy Nerds” Stars

ARC via NetGalley

Thank you, Entangled (Lovestruck)!

A cute nerd MC, a cute nerd LI, people talking about hacking and a FBI undercover mission make this book a funny, intriguing and unique read.

In The Wrong Kind Of Compatible we have two characters who are pretty much perfect for each other falling in love. Cassie and Drew are both crazy about computers and datas and complicated computer language I can't honestly follow. While Cassie works for growing company as their data analist, Drew is a computer specialist and FBI agent working a undercover mission that can lead to Cassie going to prison. Drew and his team know something's up with Cassie's company, and all evidence points to Cassie being guilty of corporate espionage. That means Drew has to infiltrate the company and try to get close to Cassie to unconver the truth.

Well, when the FBI said close, they didn't mean that close, but the attraction between Drew and Cassie is undeniable. So, on one hand, we have Cassie and her new hot coworker who's driving her crazy because she doesn't want to give in to her attraction just to find out he's there to take her job. Being a badass computer genius woman should be enough to garantee she'll keep her job, but we all know how hard the corporate world is on woman. On the other hand, we have Drew and his hot suspect who might be guilty of a federal crime or might screw up his first undercover assignment. They both have reasons to fight their attracting to each other, but the more time they spend together the harder it becomes.

The thing I liked the most about The Wrong Kind of Compatible was how funny it got, especially when reding Cassie's POV. Cassie had an unique personality--she seemed to be missing a filter, since pretty much everything she thought she ended up saying out loud. That made for some really fun interactions.

The chemistry between Cassie and Drew was another positive. They were good together and they shared some nice, hot moments. They both had things to lose, but ended up falling in love and ultimately fighting for that love.

The Wrong Kind of Compatible is a story of two computer nerds. I liked Cassie she was the true nerd and I love the fact that the girl is a nerd. She also has spunk, and klutziness. Drew drove me a bit nuts with his determination that Cassie was the only one who could possibly have done it. Yet there were times where he was so sweet and unique for the hero that he had his moments. There is very technical language, if you don't know a lot about it you start feeling a bit lost. The attraction between the two was awkwardly adorkable. If you enjoy a who done it with a sexy nerdy love story check out The Wrong Kind of Compatible.
