Very interesting book. I liked that it was so positive and teachers don't see enough positive these days in respect to their practice.

The Title alone will make every teacher want to read this amazing book. Once they have read it, they will have to share it with their collegues. I was a teacher for 16 years and wish I had this beek before I left the profession. I will recommend it to every single teacher that I know.

There is good information in this book. If teachers and administrators made good use of the techniques for mindfulness and communication offered, I do believe our schools would function better and serve our students better. The problem with this book for me was that it was written as a text book or a lengthy research article, making it feel like a chore to plod through in order to glean the useful tips that can actually be put into place in the classroom. I'd love to see a shortened version that could be used in faculty training during the planning days at the beginning of the school year. The reality of the situation is that most of my teacher colleagues would be receptive to the information, but put off by the 'research paper' style of the writing. It's too academic for general use in my opinion.
