So freaking hot..I loved it!
Sean and Kennedy make a great team, with him being so dominant and with a dirty dirty mouth, and Kennedy being more shy and reserved.
Their chemistry is scorching and I loved the game they played ;)

Loved it !! and my my, this is hot !! who doesn't love hot and forbidden romances especially the older brother's bestfriend romances. I'm a huge sucker for those.

I loved Sean's and Oliva's relationship. I found it humorous when she started stripping and he found her years later at a gentlemen's club he was currently attending. Their relationship was one hot and forbidden roller coaster one I enjoyed reading and recommend.

Kennedy has always been in love with Sean, older brother to her best friend Olivia. She was a nerdy, annoying girl that Sean never would think, was cool. When she was a teenager, Sean took notice, but she was off limits.  Being three years older, that's a big difference when you are a teen. She even approached him once with a Valentine's heart that read Be Mine.  Which he quickly squashed by laughing in her face.

Fast forward to now, Kennedy is a curator for a museum.  One New Year's Eve, her friends all drew names and had to fulfill a fantasy for that girl on her twenty-fifth birthday.  When she was sent her dossier, her adventure was a ticket to London to dance on a pole at the revered gentleman's club, the Carleton House. She's sure she can not fulfill this request by dancing, until she spots Sean at the club in London. What is he doing here?? He'd never recognize her as she's older and lost weight.

Sean is just as surprised when he sees Kennedy at the hotel and then later dancing at the club he does company business at when in London. What is she doing by dancing here? At his club too?? He knows his sister is involved but doesn't know what the scoop is. Why does Kennedy not want him to know who she is? Well, it's time to play her little game and get her wiped from his brain once and for all!

I loved this short story by Catheryn Fox!! What a scrumptious story to dive into! Kennedy is convinced Sean doesn't know who she is, but he's trying to figure out why she doesn't just tell him. Their feelings clamor to the surface. Both believe this tryst is only for the weekend, then it's back to reality, but secretly they wish the other wanted more.  I totally fell for these two together! It was very believable and I wanted them to just finally take what they both wanted-and it was each other! I loved House Rules from start to finish!  Once you start, you won't want to put it down. I highly recommend grabbing this hot little book and settling in by the pool! Just the place to read it as you will be hot after reading this scorch your sheets story! Go ahead! Enjoy!

House Rules was a cute read.

Kennedy got nominated by her friends for an opportunity to a sexy gentleman's club in London. While there she runs into her long time crush Sean Fraser. When Kennedy was young she was overweight and nerdy so she didn't think Sean would recognize her. Sean has had a huge crush on Kennedy since she was little, but there was no way for them to be together because she was in high school while he was in college. While in London they become closer than ever, but Kennedy pretends to be someone else.

Kennedy was very cute. I liked how Sean and Kennedy had some backstory since the book is so short. Sean was adorable as he quickly fell for Kennedy all over again. He liked her from the beginning and as time went on he fell for her more and more.

Overall House Rules is a cute quick read about two people who fell in love while they were young and found a way to be together forever. If I were to make one suggestion it would have been to extend the book more because it was so good.

If you are in the mood for a quick, dirty read with a side order of sweet friends to lovers story with it, then House Rules is for you. Told from alternating POV's this is novella #2 in the Dossier series which tells of what happens after friends make a pact to do something outrageous after their 25th birthday.

House Rules follows Kennedy, a self-proclaimed nerdy girl, who's "sponsor" sends her to pole dance at an exclusive gentlemen's club in London. That he childhood (and still) crush will be in the audience. This story is a fun, naughty read about what happens when the chubby girl with glasses grows up and the boy turned man figures it out. Filled with sex scenes guaranteed to steam your reader and a sweet HEA that is icing on the cake.

Put this one on your TBR list for those times when a bit of the naughty is what you need.

If you're looking for a quick, fairly hot, read then HOUSE RULES may be one you want to pick up.

Kennedy has a pact with her friends to that sends each of them off on their 25th birthday on an adventure that will change their lives. When Kennedy ends up in London and runs into her best friend's older brother, Sean, and wonders if she'll be able to finally make her childhood crush a reality.

I'm sure I would have loved this story more if it weren't crammed into 90 pages. A lot happens with this couple and I found myself craving more of their story. Not having their romance (or Kennedy keeping her identity a secret) tie up so quickly. I knew this couple was going to have chemistry, but I wanted more backstory and more of their relationship developing.

If you love novellas or short stories, this is definitely one that will keep you entertained. Sean is alpha male goodness and novella readers will definitely want to check out.

I love these stories where the characters knew each other as kids and it was a hands off kind of deal.
Now as adults and a naughty, very steamy fantasy later all bets are off the table.

Even though Kennedy uses a different name and she doesn't think Sean knows who she is, Sean sees past her act. OMG this was a very short story but loaded with heat. This author sure knows how to heat up the pages and your libido.

House Rules is a novel that has endless amount of hotness! Lordy is this a blush worthy read! House Rules is the second novel in the Dossier series, which is about a group of girls that have a twenty fifth birthday pact. On their twenty fifth birthday they get an all expensed paid trip with a dossier of events they must accomplish and it’s completely anonymous as to who planned it. I love the storyline because it’s a best friend’s older brother/sister’s best friend romance with the twist of a strip tease/lap dance. This novel was hot! I would give it 4 stars only because it was too short. I want more!

This story had so much potential, but ended up with entirely too many eye-rolling moments in which I almost gave up on it. I guess I actually enjoy a little romance if I'm going to read a Romance and not just straight porn. And if there could be an award for most hastily thrown together, double eye-roll inducing ending, this one has it. Hey, at least I finished it...

"House Rules" has a deliciously dirty talking hero who adores defiling his typically straight-laced heroine. I love it when Cathryn Fox is a dirty girl. "House Rules" is the second installment in the Dossier series. This series follows several friends who make a New Years pact. Each girl draws the name of a friend then plans a sexually liberating adventure for their birthday. None of the girls are aware of who has selected their names. They're only allowed to take the information in their dossier and what's anonymously provided them. Kennedy Lane's a shy museum curator who's blossomed from the awkward chubby adolescent. She finds herself on an adventure too adventurous and plans on skipping the challenge and lying through her teeth. Her plans change, when she sees her childhood crush, and best friend's brother, Sean Fraser at the dossier's destination.
Kennedy's been in love with her best friend Olivia's big brother Sean since they were kids. However Sean was bossy treating her like a nuisance and leaving whenever she was over. Sean Fraser's a ruthless New York investment banker visiting London on business. He can't believe it when he sees little Kennedy Lane all grown up. Being three years older, Sean couldn't do anything when he was nineteen and thought sixteen year-old Kennedy was a knock-out. All he could do was fantasize about all the ways he wanted to defile his kid sister's best friend. So he'd have to flee whenever she was around or else burn in Hell for ravishing the sweet girl. Back then three years was a big deal. Now there's nothing stopping him from tossing her on his bed, tying her there, and having his way. He doesn't understand why Kennedy's pretending she doesn't know him.
"House Rules" is Cathryn Fox at her filthy talking hero no-holds-barred sexcapades best! Sean's definitely a Hero you need to do some stretches before entering into a sexual situation with him. Kennedy's fabulous. She's apprehensive but daring and for all of her complaints about Sean's "bossy" past she loves it in the bedroom. This installment in the Dossier series is all about Sean and Kennedy. There's just a mention of the next heroine in line but no hints with what's to come. The stars are Kennedy, Sean, and insanely hot sex scenes; there aren't any outstanding secondary characters. There's wonderfully fun scenes with Sean being slightly confused, a caveman, and sexually unhinged. Then Kennedy working her alter-ego "Kitten", reveling in Sean's dominance, yet still clinging to her insecurities. Cathryn Fox has quickly become a "Gimme! Gimme! Author" that I do not pass up.

Title: House Rules
Author: Cathryn Fox

4 unexpected stars

My biggest regret after i read this book by Cathryn Fox was not having had read the first book in the series before hand. Although it was a short read, one that took me a couple of hours to finish, it didn't feel like one. It was very well developed and the story one that left me wanting more.

4 breath taking dreams

Having had spent her teenage years crushing on Fraser, Kennedy hopes that he won't recognize her as she slides up and down the stripper pole in a Gentleman's Club. With a fake name, she flirts and dances like nobody's business, leaving her day job as a museum curator far, far behind for the time being. Only, Fraser remembers her and isn't about to let her leave without sampling and taking some of what he wants. I wanted more of this series and this author. I was hooked and enjoyed how the characters came alive and i could see the scenes unfold in front of my eyes. I can only hope that i'll get to follow this series until the very end since this was one that truly captivated me.

This story is hot, hot, hot. Meet a Kennedy the meek, mild curator of the Chicago Museum. She and her friends put their names in a hat and pulled one out and the one chosen Had to do what was in the Dossier!
Kennedy's name was chosen and she ends up in London and has to dance at a gentleman's club! Of course, the man she has a crush on shows up and gives her the ride of her life.
This is a short easy read,
A hot little number just long enough to get you going and short enough so you won't get bored.
Characters are believable and cannot wait for the others!
Enjoy and make sure the significant other is around to finish things off.

3.5 dirty dirty stars

House Rules takes the whole “the quiet ones are the naughtiest” to a whole new level.

Kennedy and her friends are playing a version of Secret Santa, agreeing to do whatever their friends set them up to do. Her surprise? Forget about her quiet museum girl persona and spend a weekend in London dancing in a gentleman’s club… And since it’s a debauchery trip she might as well get some hot kinky sex, right? So when she sees her best friend’s older brother and current former crush Sean, she hopes she can add him into the equation.

Sean can’t believe his eyes when he sees Kennedy pole dancing. Even if he hadn’t had the hots for her when they were young, he’d certainly want her after witnessing this. Well, now that she’s all grown up there’s nothing keeping him from going after her, not even Kennedy pretending to be someone else.

As usual with Ms. Fox’s stories, House Rules is one really hot, kinky read. Sean and Kennedy’s chemistry is wild, and they get it on like no other. Their connection was always there, so getting a little back story made it work even better.

Kennedy was sweet, shy but with a kinky side just waiting to be explored. Sean was one sexy, dirty talker, with some serious dominant vibes and a little bondage and discipline fetish. Nothing is OTT, and everything is off the charts hot.

I felt the focus of the story was their bedroom chemistry, but the ending didn’t really click for me (which I found completely surprising as I’m all about insta-foreverness stories).

If you’re in the mood for some filthy sex, great chemistry and a fun, quick read, House Rules is definitely one to keep in mind.

A brilliantly light and carefree romance that will leave you hot, wet and wanting more...

Where to begin? Honestly, I'm not quite sure— but, once again Cathryn Fox has left me feeling rather hot and giddy. When I decided to review Private Reserve, book #1 in the Dossier series, I wasn't expecting to become completely hooked on these little adventures that delivered so much more than what they originally promised. This is really just a fab series and in all honesty what makes it even better is that you don't have to hold an infinite amount of time to invest in order to fully enjoy very bit of it. Here I am reviewing book #2, House Rules, and I am completely unashamed to say that I'm already desperate for the next adventure.

House Rules is a lot tamer than Private Reserve when it comes down to taboo sex... however, it packs serious heat and id like me you love a forbidden/ friends to lovers/ childhood crush romance— boy you are in for a treat. This story delivers on all parts. By the way, when I say forbidden it is actually little out of tune, because even though Sean is Kennedy's best friend's brother (if you've read Private Reserve you'll remember naughty Olivia, basically it's her brother) they do have absolute approval from said best friend and sister. So, maybe it's not completely forbidden, but they are somewhat unaware that they do have Olivia's blessing at first and it's something that they both, I wouldn't say struggled, but they did consider it quite a bit. This plot is something that has been done plenty of times before, but I found that this was a fresh approach to it and quite frankly, I enjoyed the crap out of it, and once again Cathryn Fox made me appreciate the delight of a real short story. This isn't a novella. It's actually a lot shorter, I read it in one 90 minute sitting and I had re-read Private Reserve just before in about the same amount of time. House rules is a standalone, so you don't have to read Private Reserve in order to fully enjoy it. However, like I said before, this is a brilliant series and you're missing out if you miss any of the available instalments.

Again, Cathryn Fox's character development is on point. Considering that the story takes place in the span of a weekend you get fantastic character insight, and is under 100 pages. You do get a great sense of their person and this is probably what makes this series a standout. I often struggle with short stories like this because authors don't seem able to fully develop their characters and as a reader I am left wanting and unable to fully empathise with them. I absolutely loved Sean, there was no bull-crap from him and he knew what he wanted and went for it. There was a bit of cat and mouse, but very minimal and what there was of it really made this story more exciting. Kennedy, is smart and although she sees herself as this well put together woman, she is the complete opposite. You know that saying lady in the streets, freak in the sheets... that is exactly how I would describe her.

If you're looking for a drawn out and angst filled romance where one of the leads has a dense skeleton in the back of their very deep, very dark closet— this isn't for you. This isn't some story that will change your life... or maybe it is. I think we could all do with losing our inhibitions and doing something a little out there once in a while. Be spontaneous and go for it. That pretty much sums this book up, oh— and it's a guaranteed panty ruiner.

I cannot wait for the next book. I just know that it's going to be such a great, care-free and enjoyable read. Come to think about it, I'm getting on a plane later on this week and I think that I may just have to re-read this series on my flight!
