Yesss, what a fun Rom-Com I just read!!! This book is the perfect amount of Romance and Comedy and I hardly wanted to put it down..lol

This book is about Jill Michaels. The story starts with Jill at the reading of her Grammy's will. She learns that she will not get anything unless she gets married by the age of 30...and oohhh Lawd..she only has 2 months to achieve finding a man, courting, hope they have sparks and he proposes and they get hitched within this time frame. Y'all the whole aspect of this book makes for such a fun read. Jill has a hilarious BFF and this girl will keep you rolling and you wonder why Jill doesn't just smack her and tell her to get the hell outta dodge at all the one liners she dishes out..soo funny..lol

Sooo anyway, Jill and her BFF are at a hotel and Jill is attending a singles mixer and she runs into a former next door neighbor guy friend. But like herself, he is all grown up and not the young boy as she remembered him, he has grown up to be a Hawt Ass Man!!! Goodnesss, the sexual tension is off the charts and Jill may have just found her answer to her marriage issue.

I gave this book 5 iScream Books Stars!! I always love these kinds of books. They are usually soo much fun to read about. So make sure you go one click this book so you can find out if Jill gets her Fake Fiancé or maybe she gets a hubby for life??!!! : )

At the reading of her beloved grandmother's will single mom Jill Michaels learns that the only way she can claim her inheritance is to marry before her thirtieth birthday, problem is she doesn't have a man in her life, nor does she really have time for one. But with her daughter's expensive private school fees piling up, she could really use the inheritance to pay for things. With no man on the horizon, her friends suggest she go to a dating mixer party to meet a suitor, that would be willing to play her fake husband, long enough for her to receive the inheritance. While she isn't so receptive to marrying a complete stranger, she also really isn't willing to let this opportunity slip through her fingers, so she reluctantly goes to the mixer. After meeting several duds she is ready to bail, but once again her friends come through for her in a big way... a strong, sexy, hunk of a man kind of way.

The moment Aaron Collins learns that his teenage crush is in the same hotel that he is in he knows he has to meet-up with her and catch up. She was always his one regret, she was beautiful, popular, and he was always too chicken to make his move. But he is a changed man now, a very confident man now, and the moment she walks back into his life, he isn't about to let her slip away, without at least first making his interest in her known. Then he learns why she is at the hotel and the thought of her hooking up with another man from a dating mixer puts him on edge, no way is he letting someone else take her home. So he makes her an offer she can't refuse...

I love a good reunion romance, and I have to say this one totally hit the mark, it was sexy, funny, and left me with a happy heart! These two walked onto the page, and I was instantly wrapped up in their story, they had some serious chemistry and I knew the minute they let loose, there were going to be some serious fireworks, and boy were there, I'm still seeing stars!! I thoroughly enjoyed my time with these two, and I am certain that if you give them the chance they will charm their way into your heart too!! Highly recommend this one, it is sure to satisfy all your reading must-have's and then some!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.

when jillian michaels' grammy dies and leaves her a chunk of money in falling for the fake fiancé, the last thing jill is expecting are strings. except of course there are strings, in order to collect her inheritance it seems that her grammy wanted jill married by her thirtieth birthday. given that jill's social life consists of pta meetings and shuttling her exceptional daughter from one after-school activity to another, it's not likely that marriage is in the cards. a shame because the money could make life easier—she wouldn't need to stress about paying the bills for her daughter's school, she might get around to replacing her old death trap of a car, she might be able to quit her second job.

aaron collins is in town after serving eight years as a marine. he's only come back to charleston to help his dad with his construction business, but he has plans for a life in dc, running a security business with one of his buddies. when he runs into jill at a bed & breakfast he's renovating he's shaken by her effect on him. truth is he's loved jill since he first set eyes on her when she moved into the house next door. she's just never seen him.

jill sees him just fine now. he's doubled in size, quite possibly. and he carries himself with a confidence and surety that he didn't have back in the day. but underneath all the good lucks and charisma, he's still aaron collins, her neighbor who makes her laugh. the guy she can talk to about anything. the man who will always want to save her. she doesn't tell him about her predicament, but her mother spills the beans.

and here is where the fake fiancé bit comes into play. every time jill and aaron meet up the chemistry between them is off the charts. they cannot keep their hands off each other, no matter where they are and what they are doing and who else might be around. they are that hot for each other. and maybe aaron isn't thinking things through, i mean, he's definitely not thinking things through, because making a temporary commitment and putting off a solid job offer to help someone else collect an inheritance doesn't make much sense. their whole engagement plan makes no sense. and of course it blows up in their faces, quite spectacularly, several different ways.

the problem is that both aaron and jill are scared to admit their feelings for each other. jill doesn't want to hold aaron back. she's already made poor partner choices and she has no desire to trap someone who doesn't feel the same way about her as she does about him. she has a daughter to think of. and really aaron is too much of a risk, the way she feels about him now, there's no way his leaving won't break her. and aaron is scared too. because he's still the guy that jillian never saw for years. so many times she picked the guy standing next to him. and every time he knew it was the wrong choice. he's loved her for so long he doesn't even recognize that it is love. that there is no one else he would give up everything for. she's it for him. but he's never been it for her.

that's a lot of baggage to work through. but even with all that heavy stuff between them, the truth is that more than anything this book sizzles with aaron and jill's chemistry. and it's not just about sex, their camaraderie, the heft of their friendship makes the romance deeper and more meaningful.

oh, one last thing, as the second snowpocalypse book in the series, we get a couple of updates on our favorite air marshall and his set designer girlfriend. and the snow does play a part even though the action takes place in south carolina. also, this must be a different snow storm from the one gage and abby experienced, but i did have a hard time figuring out the timing. anyway, landing the air marshall was also a fun read, and even though the books are standalones the series thus far has been very enjoyable.

This was a funny, sexy romance! Best friends in high school, Aaron and Jill, are reunited during a "snowpocalyspe" in Charleston. After spending a smoking hot night together, Aaron finds out about the financial predicament that Jill is in and agrees to be her solution. Through all the wedding planning and sexy times, they both come to realize that they can't live without each other.

I loved the fast pace of the story and the comedic best friends. The author jumps right into the meat of the story but sets it up perfectly. It's a shorter story, not quite a novella though, but reads like a full length novel. The characters are perfectly developed and there's just the right amount of steam. A sweet story with a satisfying happily ever after. I love second chances!

I loved this book! Jill is just trying to keep it all together and Aaron seems like the answer to her prayers. Aaron doesn't want to be part of an "us", but he can't stand the tired, hopeless look he sees in Jill's eyes when she doesn't think anyone is looking. Aaron is the ultimate sexy, alpha male. He sees a problem and instantly wants to fix it. Jill is an independent single mom who has done just fine on her own, but the cracks in the foundation are starting to show. She doesn't want her daughter to miss out on anything that is available to her, but between her private school and extra-curricular activities she is breaking the bank.

The chemistry between Jill and Aaron is off the charts. I loved the way he slid so easily into her life and fell in love with Jill and her daughter. FALLING FOR THE FAKE FIANCE is a sweet, sexy romance.

Exceptional! The fake fiance trope may be old but Ms. Blackwood made it fresh and fun with her take on it. Her writing style is full of humor and snark and along with characters that are well developed make this a very enjoyable read. Jill and Aaron work great together and their chemistry jumps from the pages. And of course that chemistry makes ending what is suppose to be a short term relationship just a bit too hard!

A great read and one you don't want to miss. I highly recommend it.

Another great read from Jennifer Blackwood. If you like humor mixed in with the sexytimes, you definitely should be reading Jennifer Blackwood. This book was sexy, sweet and witty and I just couldn't get enough. Can't wait to read more from this author.

Oh the innuendos Aaron has, “I’m guessing you haven’t gotten it good in a long time.” He lifted a brow." Jill just doesn't undeerstand her man's logic, “how is me being naked making up for my psychotic mom?” I liked this book, I thought it was a fun read.

Single mom Jill Michaels has recently lost her grandmother. At the reading of the will, she finds out that the only way to get her inheritance is if she marries before her 30th Birthday, which is only two months away. Jill can't believe her grandmother would do this to her, but she needs the money to keep paying for her daughter's private school. She’s already working two jobs just to try to make ends meet. When her friend suggests going to a single’s mixer, she reluctantly agrees. What happens next is something she never saw coming…Aaron Collins.

Aaron & Jill were good friends and neighbors back in high school. She never looked at him in any other way than a friend, but when she runs into him at the hotel, Aaron is all grown up and she’s definitely looking at him in a new light. Aaron has recently returned home from the Army and is helping his dad out with his business, one of the jobs being at the hotel to do some repairs. Aaron has always had a thing for Jill, but never acted on it. He left for the army right after high school, but has never forgotten about her. Seeing her again, even more beautiful than he remembered, he’s not passing up a chance to spend the evening with her catching up. By the end of the evening, they both don’t want the night to end. Both agreeing there can only be this one night together, they’re going to make the most of it. Aaron is leaving soon to take a job in D.C. and Jill has her daughter to think about and how she’s going to make things work, without getting the inheritance. But their one night together is more amazing than either of them could have imagined. Talk about smokin’ hot chemistry!

Even though one night was all it was supposed to be, both can’t get each other out of their minds. What’s wrong with a little more fun before he leaves? When Aaron finds out about the stipulation in her grandmother’s will, he wants to be there for Jill and help her out. Even though he’s leaving in a just a short time, he wants to marry her so Jill and her daughter Emily will be taken care of. But real feelings get in the way and now Aaron doesn’t know what to do. Will they be able to make this work or will complications get in the way, leaving Jill in jeopardy of losing the inheritance and her heart?

I really felt the chemistry between Jill & Aaron. I also loved that he wanted to be there for her and help her out. The interactions between Aaron & Jill’s daughter Emily were very sweet too! A very enjoyable read! Jennifer Blackwood is an auto-read author for me.

I'm a fan of Jennifer Blackwood's The Rule Breakers series, so when I saw that Falling for the Fake Fiance was available on NetGalley, I had to request it. I'm so happy I did!

Fake relationships are one of my favorite relationship tropes. There's something about a fake relationship turning into a real one. I think it's because there's always the slow building romance from the initial instant attraction. It was especially fun in Falling for the Fake Fiance because Aaron had always had the hots for Jill. It almost gave it a second chance romance feel. Jill and Aaron's prior teenage friendship made their instant attraction and love feel more likely to be possible. It made my buy into their current feelings for each other.

I was surprised at how thorough a story Falling for the Fake Fiance was in just 129 pages. I still would have loved it to have been a little longer, though. It would have been fun for Jill and Aaron's romance to have had more time to build and develop. There were so many cute moments, but I know there could have been more!

Falling for the Fake Fiance was a short and sweet romance filled with amazing sexual chemistry. It's the perfect book if you're looking for a light, quick romantic summer read.

I am a huge fan of the fake marriage plot line, so I was pretty much sold from the title.

I really liked Jill and Aaron. They're both good people with amazing chemistry and every conversation is filled with banter. I loved that they were childhood friends and had a history between them.

Of course there's the inevitable push away, but the time apart wasn't too long and the ending was perfection. My only complaint was that I didn't realize it was a novella and could have easily read 100 more pages.

Jennifer Blackwood is a new author for me and this is such a good story. It's funny, sweet and sexy. I loved how the author mixes tenderness with sex and the way these childhood friends (Aaron and Jill) turned to lovers.
The hero’s transition from a lanky boy to a gorgeous man is great to watch. Aaron is a wonderful hero, honorable, solid and sexy. His tentative interactions with Emily, Jill’s daughter, are sweet.
I also liked the character of Jill, the single mom and professional worrier, a woman with a self-deprecating humor that doesn’t have a clue about car maintenance.
The side characters are also interesting and three dimensional. I was a little confounded about the reason for the stipulation on Grammy’s will.
I really liked Jennifer Blackwood’s writing style and her humor and I’ll continue looking for her books.

Jennifer Blackwood's writing is always a mixture of fun and sassiness. This one was a sweet heartwarming story as well.
It was a really enjoyable read with mostly very lovable characters (think Jill's mother) and it had just the right amount of sexual chemistry and interesting storyline to entertain me and hold my interest.
I just wish that the book was a little longer as I would have liked to know more about Jill and Aaron but the character development was good for the length of this story.
I am always happy to read a Jennifer Blackwood novel and if you enjoy this I suggest trying "The Rule Book" next as I think that might just be my favorite.

This is a fun romance begins with Jill, a single mom, learning that her grandmother's will requires her to be married by her thirtieth birthday (in two months), in order to inherit. Just one problem, she's not even dating anyone.

Jill's girlfriends take her out to a speed-dating event, and after suffering through several inappropriate candidates, she escapes to her hotel room...except its not her room and her friends set her up. She is stunned when her childhood friend, Aaron, opens the door. She hasn't seen him since the day he left for the military ten years ago and he has turned into a very sexy man.

Before long, Aaron has become entwined and invested in Jill's dilemma and their engagement takes on a life of its own and is out of their control.

This novel is sweet and fun with just a bit of spice. I loved the characters and felt invested in their story. Fans of the genre will enjoy this book.

I really enjoyed this book. Loved the humor and sass between Aaron and Jill when they first got reaqainted after going their separate ways in high school. Their chemistry was off the charts, and it warmed my heart how Aaron helped Jill out when she needed it most. With Jill being a single mom, times were tough, but once Aaron was in the picture, things started looking up. Emily was adorable, mom was a southern pain in the backside, but it all wrapped up to be a very well written, funny, steamy story. There have been a lot of "fake fiancé " books out lately, this one is by far my favorite.

Jennifer Blackwood did a beautiful job of bringing a different take on the engagement of convenience.

Jill and Aaron have known each other most of the their lives. But life took over and they haven't seen each other for years.

At an attempt to get Jill out of her funk, the girls take her on a speed dating weekend. A chance encounter with Aaron outside of the event, and a snow storm in Charleston makes for an interesting evening. Will this chance encounter start something more? Add to the mix Jill's seven year old daughter, a cooky Grandmother's last will and testament, and a viscous mother.

Will Aaron and Jill have a chance or will life rip them apart.

I really enjoyed this story. It was nice to see the dual pov. The storyline is strong with a unique take on the trope. Jennifer Blackwood made me happy, sad, angry, and just shake my head. The characters are easy to relate too and the seven year old is spot on.

Falling for the Take Fiance was a fun, sexy book. Jill is put into a tight spot with a difficult decision to make. Aaron makes it a night easier decision. He's so wonderful, a woman couldn't ask for better.
