I really enjoyed this story becasue it had a Cinderella feel to it, I really liked the opposites attract but the simmering attention underneath. It was fast paced and the characters were bought to life with Sharon's wonderful way with words. I loved their ride to happy ever after and the emotion that was created with the two opposite characters. I liked their back story with the parents and how their upbringing affected who they are today. Loved it!

The hero and heroine in this book were very compelling for me—the heroine’s backstory as the daughter of a scandalous actress and the hero’s family backstory were both very emotional and poignant and gave the characters a strong depth to make them more 3-dimensional. I liked how strong and independently-minded the heroine was. She didn’t immediately give in to the powerful sexual attraction she felt for the hero and fought it rather strongly. She also wasn’t pigheaded about being independent when her baby’s health and wellness was on the line.
In fact, the only thing that might have disappointed me was how rushed the ending felt. The author built up a really beautiful, tempestuous love story and it seemed to slam to a conclusion in a way that left me feeling a bit startled. However, the ending is still very sweet and I enjoyed it.

The Pregnant Kavakos Bride

I have to go three stars on this because, the author actually is very talented in writing. However, I did not like the main hero. I was not engaged with that character at all. It seemed like all the way through the book, I wanted to just punch his lights out. At the very end, with very few pages to go, finally the hero, turned into a human being. If the hero had been written with at least an understandable character even though strong, It would of been a fantastic read for me. The only thing in my opinion that made it tolerable was the authors talent. I was given this book in return for an honest review. Anna Swedenmom

This is Keely and Ariston's story. He thinks she's a tramp because of her mother.. he is obsessed with her. He offers her a job that she desperately needs. They have a night of passion. There are consequences. She becomes pregnant. He forces her to marry him. They have hot passion. It was a very fast read I couldn't put it down. It was great.

How is this suppose to be a romance book? The Hero was an absolute ass from beginning to end! The things he thinks, does and says to heroine is too disgusting. There was nothing likable about this character and nothing entertaining reading this book!

The relationship between Ariston and Keeley was passionate yet problematic. His lack of respect for her was troubling throughout most of the book. However, he does grovel and make everything better.

I'm a big Sharon Kendrick fan but this one was a let down. The hero was so blinded by what he perceived to be deceitful behavior on the part of the heroine that he just kept coming up with excuses for his nastiness. Got so annoying!

I gave this book five very deserving stars, and I have to say it was an awesome book. I actually made the mistake of starting to read this book one evening around 10:00 pm, at one in the morning I was still reading and could not put it down! Aristen Kavakos was a little bit broken and I like that Keeley helped him. I loved that he really had been in love with her for a long time and sort of waited for her even if he didn't know it. The chemistry between these two people was fantastic. I also loved the way this book takes off from the first page and barely stops long enough to take a break from it. I recommend this book highly, great read on vacation.

This was just a so so book for me a wouldn't say don't buy it, but it wouldn't be my first pick for a recommendation .

The main characters met years ago when the heroine and her Mother attended a party the hero hosted. The heroine, Keely was young (18) and was dealing with a Mother who was losing her fame and desperate for rich male attention. After her Mother creates an embarrassing scandal/situation during the party the hero, Ariston comforts the distraught and embarced heroine and they kiss. He ends the kiss and believes she's a gold digger just like her mother and lets her know it. Humiliated she runs away.
Years later they meet again at an art gallery. Keely is conversing with Ariston's younger brother. Ariston believes she is now going for his brother (and his money) and devises a plan to keep her away from him till he announces his engagement in a month. Keely is struggling financially as her mother is ill. So when Aniston offers her a well paid job for a month she takes it.
Both are fighting the strong attraction, but Ariston decides to act on it believing his brother wouldn't ever go for a woman he slept with and also it would work her out of his system. They have sex and the heroine becomes pregnant and from there marriage becomes part of their future.
Can I just say I like my alpha male heroes, but this hero, he was a total jerk!! I didn't like him at all. From his comments to his actions, that came across demeaning and cold (some alpha heros can be jerks but you sense some emotion and feeling emanating from them at least, not this one). And the heroine wasn't very likable either. I felt no connection between the two and their relationship was cold and shallow. At the end there was an attempt to make the two characters somewhat likable and have depth, but for me it was too late and I could care less.
Disappointed!!!
