I had only read one other book by Christine Rimmer before this one, and both them proved to be very entertaining. I know absolutely nothing about ranching or cowboys so everything seemed fun and interesting to me as the author immersed me in this new world.
I had never read a book set in a reality TV show before, so it was interesting how the author showed how invasive it could be to have your every move and word recorded. The contestant dynamics were also intriguing.
Some parts in the middle were a little slow and low-conflict, but the story kept me engaged and I wanted to see how everything would end. There was a nice surprise at the end that I hadn't seen coming, although the author set up the heroine's emotional state really well to explain what happened. And of course it had a very happy ending.
Overall, a good book!
P.S. I’m not sure why, but I thought the cover on this one was absolutely adorable.

I thought this story was really cute and I liked the main characters a lot. I liked that both of them were in on the game. It never seemed like one of them was taking advantage of the other. I would definitely read more stories in this world.

When I was a new mom, I devoured romance series books and one of my favorite was written by Christine Rimmer. In the twenty plus years since then, I've had more babies, gotten a master's degree, started teaching and raised three children. It's only now as my nest is starting to empty that I've found time to really get back into reading and when I saw this book was by Miss Rimmer, I was excited to read it and see if I enjoyed her writing as much as I did all those years ago. Spoiler alert -- I did. It was a fun premise, the characters are as well written as I remember, and it was a fun read. That's what I remember about her books -- that they were fun. I discovered she's written about 50 books in the 20 years that I haven't been reading, so I've got some catching up to do. Recommend this is you're wanting to get yourself lost in a little fun romance.
