I didn’t realize this was a series when I picked it up, but nonetheless, I felt all of the elements of this story were rather weak and nothing stuck out as being brilliant to me for it being a fantasy world with a magic system. It felt kind of dry reading it.

Though I love this author's work and this series, this book seemed to move at a slower pace for me. It was harder to stay interested in the plot as it became more convoluted. I usually read books like this in a couple hours, but found it took me days as I kept setting it down or would read other books instead. I don't know if at this point the storyline is getting away from the author or if there are just too many characters' "voices" in the mix with all the bouncing back and forth. I hope the next book wraps it all up

Best one yet, love this series. I was able to catch up a lot faster for this book than book 2.

A continuation of the saga of Chloe and Dion and their land. Chloe and Dion are still figuring out who they are and how to be comfortable in their own skins, all while trying to do what is best for their people.

This was without a doubt the best book of the series. Unlike the Evermen series I have found the previous books in this series hard going and easy to put down. However, in Copper Chain I found it much easier to warm to the characters and the plot lines meant that this was the one book I couldn't put down. Really looking to the next instalment and would recommend this author to any fantasy fans
