!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahem. I mean...Rules of Rain is this perfect little book that I flew through in a matter of 2 hours, had my interest from the 1 st page, and has all the FEELS, SQUEALS, and meals. Because Rain is a cook and has a blog! HELLO to relatable. Look I bake rarely, but blogging! And while these aren't major themes it's so great to see characters with a bit more pizazz and originality in them!

-Rain's development. At the beginning, she says her Autistic brother as some sort of child and project she needed to coddle and controlled. UGH NO. But she was developed SO BEAUTIFULLY, i might cry. You hate she sees Ethan in the beginning (even though they're these adorable twins asdfghjkl) but she changes, she learns and THATS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT A CHARACTER. She has a blog and cooks weird strange recipes for Ethan and OH GOSH, shut up heart.
-It's so quick and light and fast-paced. I love a book where you can just get stuck in and not realise the time passing by. I picked it up and then put it down when i was finished! The writing was easy to fly through, I enjoyed every minute.
-Okay, I LOVE ETHAN OKAY. I can't even describe him. he's like...you know when there's a beautiful silence and the sun is setting and it's all pretty. Yeah, I'm not going to break that silence because I might ruin Ethan's amazingness for you. Read this book and you'll just BE BLOWN AWAY with how amazing and perfect and just gwsgdfiuigewiusjf hdgsdhj HE IS OKAY?????? ALL THE LOVE AND MORE AND INFINITY FOR ETHAN.I'd die for him okay? He's the best. ever.
-The relationships! Okay so the family was a bit disjointed but Hope is the friend you JUST NEED! She's lovely and her and ETHAN, shop <3 Liam is this ball of sunshine and yes.
-Ethan's journal. I want to read ALL OF IT. Please tell me there will be a spin off just about Ethan!
-I think the autism rep is done well! I THINK! I don't have autism so I have no idea but to me it seemed great. Correct me if I'm wrong.
-The Aesthetic. like the cover and title? I like it okay? This is the most important it about a book.
-Oh and not to mention I chuckled a few times and it I was pulling my hear out at some points. STRESS LEVELS ARE HIGH in this book.

-The mother is a melon-head and OKAY?? OKAY?? Don't even question me on this. she just is.
-The dad...no comment. I have mixed feelings? Like I felt a little bad for him at some points, and he was really nice but...Ack. Don't make me say anything.
-Is Liam too perfect? HE NEVER DOES ANYTHING WRONG? OKAY? HOW? Tell me, please. And Hope a little too perfect too.

AGH SO GOOD I REALLY LIKE IT OKAY? I've got a few issues with the characters but the relationships, the development, the writing, the uniqueness, ASDFGHJKL. Go read it right now. One of those contemporaries you just LOVE LOVE LOVE.

I loved this book, because it was complicated, as life is. The different relationships evolved, and I particularly appreciated Ethan's character. I was surprised by the ending as well, not that it was a twist ending, but I appreciated the true to life quality of it (can't say more!)

I picked this book without knowing anything about it, since there's no description on the site. Sadly it's not a genre I usually enjoy, and I DNF'd at 15%. I'm sure someone who enjoys contemporary would like it, though. Thanks for allowing me to read it.
