I really enjoyed this title. This book had a lot of twists and turns. One I started it I couldn't put it down. I had felt like Diana's books had become predictable but this was not the case with this book. I highly reccomend it.

Thank you Harlequin and Netgalley for allowing me to read this book for an honest review.

Gaby met and fell for Marc when she was just eighteen. They broke up but now nine years later, their paths have crossed again.

I've been a die-hard fan of Diana Palmer's novels since a friend turned me onto her books in the mid-1980's, and when I voluntarily agreed and to read and review an advanced reader copy of this book, I was happy to get it, but once I started reading it, it seemed oddly familiar, but I nevertheless stayed up almost until dawn to read it in one sitting, still wondering why it seemed like a novel I'd previously read, and while I thoroughly enjoyed it, Gaby and Marc's compelling and tangled love story, although certainly engrossing, kept me wondering until morning, when I went to my bookcase (I have all of Ms. Palmer's novels, even the ones she wrote in the early 1980's under pseudonyms) and there it was, published in 1986, by Diana Blayne. I've read thousands of novels since 1986, and way certainly happy to read this one again, but I do wish that the publisher had made it clear to reviewers and readers that this novel is a reprint.

If you already Diana Palmer's novels, or are new to her books, and haven't read this one, it's a darn good read, but please be advised that it is indeed a reprint.

What a tangled web author Diana Palmer has woven in this offering. I have to admit that I didn't care for Marc in the beginning but by the ending, my feelings had changed toward the positive. In the beginning, he seemed to be hiding behind his long-held feelings for Gaby and jealousy and grief (which both stem from his younger brother) can make a man stupid but I didn't care for his nasty temper and snarling at her. Hearing of his childhood and upbringing did help in understanding him which softened my opinion.

Gaby, of course, forgave him quickly, which is something Ms. Palmer's characters and their tender hearts tend to do. I thought the heroine was amazing, she is gutsy, and despite everything, a sweetheart. She is open as he is closed and had, in the past, accepted Marc as the young man he was and was proud to be with him. Fate stepped in and her young heart is broken. She moved on with her life until she is hired to model by Marc's brother and begins a friendship that ends badly for the young man and throws an even deeper wedge between Marc and herself. Until a hitman's threat brings them together.

I did enjoy the dialogue; the mystery and the action are of the usual superb writing quality that fans of Ms. Palmer are used to. The romance, once they got back together, was sweet with just the right touch of steamy. I have to add here that the secondary characters that include Uncle Michael, whom I found to be completely adorable if a little shady added quite a bit to the atmosphere and solving the mystery of who hired the hitman and why.

If you want an escape that is emotional, with action that will have you gasping, and a second chance at love then TANGLED DESTINIES is the book for you.

I love everything Diana Palmer!
She hasn't disappointed me yet. Her books have well-developed characters and plenty of sizzle. What more can a reader ask for? I can't wait to read her next installment.

Gaby and Marc were from opposite sides of the track, so when they fell in love, outside forces tore them apart. Now, years later, they have a second chance but first they have to overcome the criminal forces that may just get Gaby killed. Enjoyable romance

I loved this book! It was such a sweet love story, with all the emotional ups and downs that you expect from a Diana Palmer book. There was the love, the heart break, the thrills and finally the great emotional ending!

Having read quite a few books by Diana Palmer I was not expecting to like this one either but I was pleasantly surprised. The H is not your typical jerk (for lack of a better word) then any of the previous books of hers but I felt that this was an old dated book as there are references here and there of things that makes me think this one was written in the 80's or early 90's. I loved the HEA! That was the best part!

DNF at 20%. I honestly thought this was supposed to be placed in the 1940's, alas it was meant to be contemporary. I may not have given it a fair shake, but I stopped around the time the heroine mentioned another male character's big TV for his "VCR". swooooon.

I've read pretty much anything Diana Palmer writes and most of her books subjects involved Wyoming region or individuals with connections to cattlemen. I was a little worried with the change of location and the type of characters in the book but after a few pages I realized that I should never doubt Diana Palmers' skill. Gabrielle was just another rich girl from New York who by a series of unfortunate events meets Marcus at a young age. She falls in love with Marcus even though he doesn't come from the right side of the town. There love is pulled apart by outside forces but they both never stop feeling for each other. Years pass and fate brings them together again they just need to fight to get back together. Get ready for another amazing roller coaster ride brought to you by the amazing Diana Palmer trust me you don't want to miss it.

I will not be posting a review and rating, unless you request it. This book was not for me.

I enjoyed this book. A little intrigue with romance is a good thing.

This was a good story, though I have to say I don't think I would have forgiven Marc as easily as Gabby did there would have been a whole lot more groveling before I would have been able to forgive and forget.

When I read the blurb, I was really excited because it sounded really good. I love second-chance romances and Tangled Destinies sounded like a story full of passion and heartbreak. However, I just wasn't feeling it from the start. The book starts with how Marc rescues Gaby, however it wasn't executed well, and it fell flat to me. After that we are in present time (nine years later), so as a reader you don't really know the intensity of their past relationship and how it developed. This was a huge issue for me because it made it difficult for me to really connect with the characters, and feel the connection between them. Their love for each other didn't feel real to me. Both acted in a way that didn't work for me. Gaby's behavior sometimes felt very immature, and it bothered me. Marc's personality wasn't that much better. It was very High Schoolish. I think flashbacks would've really helped in me understanding their behavior. I tried to continue reading to see if the story would appeal more later on, but it didn't. So I decided to DNF this book, because it just wasn't for me.

Diana Palmer is the queen of intricate stories. She surpasses all genres with her tales of depth and courage. Tangled Destinies is a prime example of that skill. Marc and Gaby's journey from young lovers to emotionally scarred enemies is a tale of heartache, lies and suspense that seduces even as it lays the groundwork for some shocking reveals. Not many second chance stories leave readers breathlessly entertained and that's exactly how I felt after reading this amazing story.

Horrible! And I 've read almost everything this author has written! The heroine is a total doormat and has a blinding need to make him see that she's not a schemer, and he is a total douche canoe not worth the trouble!

I remember reading this book when it came out in 1991. Brought back memories of sitting reading Diana Palmer books through the years. A must read.
