Long For Me is the third book in the Luminous series. This is also the first novel of Stacey Lynn's that I have read.
Bennett needs to feel control in all aspects of his life. He plays the roll of dominant in the bedroom and at a club called Luminous. Since the day he saw Rebecca walk into his building he knew he had to have her. He had to make her his. But little did he know that would be an uphill battle.
Rebecca hasn't had an easy life, what with having an abusive dad skip and her mom turning that anger of him leaving on her, you can say her life has kind of sucked. When Rebecca agrees to join her best friend at Luminous (a BDSM club) she doesn't expect to walk into a room and witnessing her boss in the middle of a scene. What she doesn't expect most of all is the way she finds everything intriguing and alluring.
I really enjoyed Stacey Lynn's writing style. However, this novel was just okay for me. I feel like stories like this one, with a BDSM, theme are told on a daily basis. It's to the point where the story lines are starting to clash together. It is going to take an off the wall story to get me out of my BDSM funk that I just realized I'm in. I liked Bennett and his need for power and control. I sadly was not feeling Rebecca's character though, I get she had a tragic past but her character felt off and a little to wishy washy in certain aspects of this novel.
Overall, This novel was just okay for me. I will however check out more from Stacey Lynn. I loved her writing style!

4 1/2 STARS!
Stacey Lynn brings us another sexy delve into the world of club Luminous. If you’ve been reading the series, you’ll recognize several of the characters already and this book brings us Rebecca and Bennett’s story. It’s another steamy one … maybe not quite as hot as the previous two, but a really good read!
Rebecca Morales can’t stand her rude and domineering boss! She works her tail off and gets no appreciation .. just attitude and snark. Imagine her surprise when she sees him at Luminous, using a whip on a woman … and she finds herself jealous and turned on. She doesn’t even like him, how can he possibly be making her want him??
Bennett Ashby knew Rebeecca would make a good assistant, but he didn’t realize how much it was going to drive him crazy with desire to be around her day in and day out. When he glances up and sees her standing there with interest and lust in her eyes, he knows he’s going to have her. They agree to one night … but will he be able to walk away after that?

the latest novel in the luminous series, long for me, finds intense dom bennett tangled up with his secretary rebecca. she's good at her job, though you wouldn't know it given the way bennett dismisses her. what she doesn't realize is that he can't dismiss her. he can't stop thinking about her. he can't stop imagining all the ways she could submit to him. but he senses a powerful reserve in her and knows instinctively that it's not something he can pursue. so he hides his attraction by being the most demanding, condescending boss he can be.
when rebecca lets herself be taken to luminous by her good friends and neighbors, it's a big deal. she's known that they are part of the bdsm community and she's come to accept that their relationship is loving and healthy. but it is hard for her. her father was physically abusive of both her mother and her. and even when he left them, the emotional abuse didn't stop until her mother was gone. so rebecca has a lot of trust issues framed around physical violence and degradation.
when bennett sees rebecca at the club there's is no turning back. if she is curious about the lifestyle, if she is willing, if she is searching for something more—he knows he can give her exactly what she needs. she doesn't know it yet, but she's always been his. since the moment she walked into his office eager to please. but bennett knows that she won't be easy to tame. her reluctance is clear, but so is her curiosity. and when she responds to him, the way she explodes with sensation when he touches her, he knows that they are meant to be more.
rebecca puts bennett through his paces though. she's got a lot of emotional trauma to get through, and bennett doesn't always realize what is going on in rebecca's head. so he's often wrong-footed, and this is a foreign sensation for him because he's obsessive about being in control. this is why he is drawn to the lifestyle after all.
the relationship that blossoms between rebecca and bennett is both frustrating and satisfying. they have plenty of crossed wires, but what i love is that once bennett is certain that rebecca can be the woman for him, he goes after her single mindedly. she puts up barrier after barrier and he figures them out and gets her to see that they are meant for each other.

4.5-5 stars!
I enjoyed reading Long For You. The story of a naive "sub" and the Dom who must train her isn't anything new but I thought the author did a great job creating a work relationship along with a sexual relationship between Bennett and Rebecca.
Rebecca isn't looking to be part of the scene but decides to throw caution to the wind and hang out with her friends at a club. She has a chance to turn her normal into something exciting.
Bennett and Rebecca have a definite love hate relationship. It was a bit exhausted at times but I understood where each person was coming from.

Yes yes yes! This is how you write a heartstopping romance. Love. Honor. Devotion. Hella hot and steamy with nothing held back. Little drama and BS - yay! Loads of simmering emotions. Sigh.
While Bennett comes off as a jerk in the beginning, he is also a very complex and amazing guy. Super yummy and a book boyfriend that we want for our very own!
BDSM is alive and well in this book but it is not over the top and it enhances their relationship as they walk through getting to know each other and their tumbling hearts. I had to hold on to mine in a few places too!
This is my fourth book by Stacey Lynn and I have loved them all! 3 were 5 stars and 1 was 4 stars. I think I am becoming addicted to her writing and stories! I need more!!! This style of writing is my favorite to read of all!!

Long for Me is scorching hot, but its love story is also emotional and well developed. Bennett is Rebecca’s boss and he’s hard to please. She doesn’t love working for him and has ignored the attraction between them until she sees him at a sex club. All bets are off when he sees her there; he’s ready to cross the line between employer and employee. She’s hesitant but can’t deny their chemistry, and they begin a fan-yourself-worthy affair. He falls pretty hard for her, and it’s fun and sexy to see this alpha succumbing to love. Long for Me is a swoony romance with lots of heart.
ARC provided, but this review was voluntarily and honestly written.

Bennett Ashby has a crush on his assistant Rebecca Morales but she'd never guess that with his usual mean and snarky self!
One night her friends talk her into going to their sex club Luminous for a look see. There she spots Bennett doing a demonstration and her world shifts. But so does his! His assistant has a kinky side he wants to explore so he offers her a night to enjoy a taste of submission.
Rebecca loved her night with Bennett and now she's curious for more! She's craving things she shouldn't should she?? Bennett takes to settling Rebecca's doubts with a contract. He wants her to let go of her fears and embrace what she feels when she submits. Rebecca is perplexed though. BDSM is just another form of abuse isn't it?? Why oh why does she enjoy what Bennett does to her mind, body, and soul??
Long For Me by Stacey Lynn is the third book in the Luminous series and I was so happy that it involved Bennett! We got a glimpse of him in book two, Crave Me. The chemistry is off the charts and I felt like I really knew the characters. I felt Rebecca's struggles with what she feels verses what she thinks is. Bennett is all sex on a stick but throw in sweetheart of a guy! He wanted Rebecca to see what submitting to him is, and it's not all whips and chains. As they navigate this lifestyle together, they both realize some truths. This is a beautiful romance full of all the right feels!
I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend you purchase it! It can be read as a stand alone, but Stacey's writing is so addictive, you'll soon pack your reader with the others from the series!

This series continues is so deliciously sinful, I can't get enough! These is something so forbidden about BDSM and the author does such a great job explaining about the exchange of power and making both parties feel safe and in a relationship, not just a guy hitting a girl. I love these characters as we get to see the couples from the previous books and get a front seat to Bennett and Rebecca's venture into this world.
Rebecca has no desire to be whipped or hit, but there is something intriguing about Bennett and his world. Before she knows or understands it, she can't get enough. Bennett has wanted Rebecca for a long time and never guessed she'd be willing to venture into his world. When they have one night, he knows that will never be enough.
Loved this book and I hope there is more coming in this series!

This is the third book in this series by this author. This is such an intense story which will keep you hooked till the very end. I absolutely loved the story, it was sweet but also had the BDSM aspect to it. This author definitely knows how to mix the sweet with the raunchy in this story. This book can be read as a stand alone read or as part of the series. I really enjoyed the characters they were really well developed. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.
Highly recommended
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book

Another boss and assistant romance novel! How can it be any different from ok many I have already read? Although this is the 3rd release in the Luminescence series, it is the first I have read. So I started the first chapter with minimal expectation ..... and was soon pulled into a intoxicating story, that introduced Rebecca to the world of bdsm. She learned that neither her wants and needs, her boss or the world of bdsm were transparent. Kinky and tastefully written, Long For Me by Stacey Lynn ticked all the boxes.

This book was hot and steamy and completely beautiful. I love, love, love boss/assistant tropes, and this one was written magnificently. Love story mixed with BDSM, this book was everything I thought it'd be and more. There was so much going on, the development was great. I flew through this book reading it, I kept anticipating the next time they would get together, it had me squirming every time.
Rebecca is one highly intelligent and independent woman, I loved her character so much. Bennett, the overpowering and intimidating boss/Dom was so caring and considerate, always reassuring Rebecca and making her feel comfortable and safe. Not only does he fall for her physically, but also mentally. He finds her so smart and sexy, making it known that he values and appreciates not only her body but mind as well. There's a lot of back and forth between the two with Rebecca's uncertainty of what this life is and who she wants to be, but Bennett is always there to encourage her and support her decisions. He falls in love with her and helps her out sexually and in her career. He truly wants the best for her in all aspects, and he's not afraid to make it known. The chemistry between them was a live wire I could feel from reading this book alone. This book has made me a fan of Stacey Lynn and I've already started reading more of her other novels. I'm forever a fan now.

"New Year, new goals, new life."
Stacey Lynn has done it again! She swept me off my feet and I couldn't help but fall in love with the story and her characters. It was sweet, sexy..... and oh so sinful.
Bennett Ashby owns Ashby enterprises, and is also a dominate.
Rebecca Morales is Bennett's assistant....
Personal Assistant.
Things get complicated on New Years, and everything changes after a hot steamy kiss. One night will simply not be enough for this duo.
Both Bennett and Rebecca fulfill their ultimate fantasies, and desires. It was a real eye opener for both woman and men who's signifigant other being a dominant / submissive. How to balance that, and of course falling in love. Instead of the dominate having full control..... its the submissive who wields all the power.
I am completely in love with Stacey Lynn's writing, especially Long For Me. I loved how into depth she goes to tell Bennett and Rebecca's story, being in the type of lifestyle they are in. The push and pull between these two were off the walls.
A fabulous hot summer read, that I highly recommend for romance lovers.

Bold, sexy, erotic, and sizzling!!! Long For Me by Stacey Lynn is the third installment of the Luminous Series and happens to be my favorite so far. Long For Me had me obsessed and addicted as I practically inhaled this sinful treat!!!
"When Bennett smiled, I entirely forgot he was my boss. That smile did stupid, silly girl things to me like make me want to stand up and tangle my fingers in his jet-black hair. Or brush my cheek against his jaw that always held just the smallest hint of stubble. It made me want to nibble on his full bottom lip, wrap my legs around his waist. Basically, his smile turned me into someone with only baser, animalistic instincts.”
BDSM romance story-lines can either be a hit or a miss but in the case of this book and series, Stacey Lynn concocted up a romance that was believable, enticing, passionate, and sultry. Long For Me had all the right romantic elements to keep readers engaged and longing for more. The characters were written so raw and vulnerable that readers could understand both the hero and heroine and the sexual nature of the pull and connection that was bonding them.
Rebecca never thought she would walk into a sex club especially one that specializes in BDSM. She always associated domination with abuse that is until she saw first hand, what true BDSM is all about. When she sees her boss, Bennett Ashby performing an act, Rebecca is intrigued. It is there when her boss noticed and challenged Rebecca to let go and submit to him fully.
“Panties off. On the desk now, legs spread wide”
Bennett Ashby has a thing for Rebecca. Little did he know that his assistant might have a wild sexual side to her that needs to be explored. When Bennett shows Rebecca that BDSM is not abuse, he opens her up to a whole new world where sex, passion, lust, love, craving, and desires collide. As Bennett shows her that it is okay to long and crave for things, will Rebecca be able to let go of her fears and doubts and submit to Bennett fully?
"What did I give you?” My body. My cunt. My attitude or my kisses was what I was expecting. One side of his lips hitched and he grinned, rocking me backward with the force of a boulder. “You, Rebecca. You gave me you, all of you. And you can’t give that to me and walk away from me.”
Long For Me was the perfect sexy summer read. The writing was seductive and sexy as hell. Did I also mention the chemistry between the hero and heroine was off the charts? Yes, it was undeniably explosive. So if you are in the mood for a love story that was burning with passion, intensity, raw emotions and lots of sex then this book is definitely for you.

Long for Me, is pretty tame compared to the first two books in the series. Yes, it is about a Dom and sub relationship. It's just not as much of the hard core kinks. I actually like it best out of the three. Bennett is up front with Rebecca from the beginning with what is expected, which she is very grateful for. While she has some hangups, it's nothing that they can't talk through or spank through.

I am totally in love with this series from Stacey! Every book just gets better with more dips, swirls and steam than your favorite coffee. Good grief the woman can write a story.
Bennett is the boss from hell and seems to get off on making his assistant Rebecca's life one straight up living hell. Moody, picky, brooding, door slamming in the office and Rebecca has grown somewhat immune to his bad behavior. She'd grown up with that. She was good at what she did and Bennett had no beef with that. His main problem is he's been hot for her since she started working for him.
On an evening out her best friend Miranda talks her into going to Luminous. Rebecca stumbled into Miranda and Shawn's playroom at home and is stunned. She's got a million questions, confused by the whole Dom/sub thing, and Miranda thinks she'd get a better idea at the club, it's New Years Eve so nothing heavy going on. Pandora's box, at the club she sees Bennett engaged in play with a woman who is nicely tied and getting her due. He's every inch a Dom. He hasn't had a sub for a very long time. Rebecca meets a few more people at the club, friends of Miranda and then Bennett sees her.
After some careful what I would say negotiation between these two, Bennett takes her home to her house and they engage in some light play, I'd call it pre D/s 1o1. Bennett knows she's skittish, sensitive and at a complete loss when it comes to understanding submission. When you read the book and her backstory you understand why. When he leaves he tells her that the next move is hers, he won't touch her again until she is on her knees in front of him in his office beginning for him to take her. Otherwise that's all she's getting from him. She's just had the best sex of her life and frankly so has he. His behavior post play is..... ahh read the book....
The next week is hell, he's a complete a@@ to her, back to door slamming and now the silent treatment. They are in the throes of landing a big contract and he expects Rebecca to handle to rewrite which she does, goes to the meeting with the buyer and pretty much takes over. She's got an answer for every question the man had. He's duly impressed, Bennett is silent, he's not angry, he's impressed. He tells her to return to the conference room after she takes the guest to the elevator and the man is so impressed he offers her a job should she ever leave there, or desire more. Returning to conference room, Bennett is flaming, telling her to shut the door, she refuses instead of being her usual compliant self, she's fed up with his nasty crap from the week. They circle each other. And on it goes. He tells her he's left something on in her office for her, she finds a folder on her chair and when she opens it, it's a sex contract. She closes the folder and takes it home, calling Miranda for help. Miranda drags her out for the evening, along with two other friends. Rebecca decides to ask for advice. Miranda gets up with Haley and leaves her with Gabby who explains her own life to Rebecca and then what may probably needs to hear, but giving no real answers. But what it does do it make things click into place for Rebecca. It's obvious Bennett wrote the contract for the two of them, it's not a standard D/s contract. He's taking the first step to committing to her, despite what he told her after their one night together. That paper opens a whole new aspect to these two that is amazing to see unfold.
I loved this plot, I'll admit Bennett took some getting used to, I'd have skinned him alive just for the door slamming, but Rebecca is a saint. Watching Rebecca's character develop without losing who she was and still carrying her ability to blush and ask questions. Bennett never lost his deep respect and admiration for her. The plot evolution was great and the minor characters were good too.
The book is a solid 5. Yes, you should read it.
Great story once again Stacey!!
**arc from NetGalley and Carina Press in exchange for a fair review**

This is a good series and I liked the two main characters. I would recommend this author.

"New Year, new goals, new life."
I read Long For Me as a standalone. I enjoyed the other couples that featured in the story and I'm assuming theirs are the ones the I missed in the first two books. I am definitely intrigued enough to go back and read them to learn their history. I was initially introduced to the works of Stacey Lynn because of my MC Romance addiction. I enjoyed her Nordic Lords MC series, so I decided to check out her Luminous series. I'm glad that I did. I really liked this version of a D/s relationship and I'm intrigued to see how the other couples represented in the series are written.
Rebecca has been working for the same company since graduating from high school. She started as an intern and worked her way up. Well, at least she though she was moving up until she got to her current position as Bennett Ashby's assistant. Yes, he was the boss. The owner of the company. But that didn't excuse his deplorable behavior towards her. She didn't mind him being bossy, but did he have to be an asshole?
She knew she should do a better job of keeping her irritation to herself, but sometimes he provoked her so much that she couldn't help herself. She gave him attitude. She had no choice but to let him push her around in the office, but she was determined to not ever let a man do so outside of work. But that didn't stop her from drooling over him when he wasn't looking. And she'd been drooling for years.
She didn't deny that he was gorgeous, at least not to herself. He was most definitely some delicious eye candy, as long as he wasn't speaking to her. As soon as he started barking orders and insults the steam coming out of her ears dimmed his appeal. She assumed that he treated all women this way. Until she saw him showing a softer side to another woman... at Luminous. Not only did it make her aware he was capable of kindness, it made her yearn to be on the receiving side of it. But if she crossed that line, how could she face him in the office the next day?
Bennett was ashamed of the way he had been treating Rebecca, but it was the only way he could keep his distance. She was driving him to distraction at the office. He tried not to watch her, but the sway of her hips in those pencil skirts drew his gaze every time. The fire in her eyes when she was mad at him pushed him to purposely incite her just so he could see it. Yes, he liked being in control. Yes, he liked submission. But he also liked a challenge. When the woman he'd been fantasizing about in the office showed up at his sex club, all his promises to himself went by the wayside. He convinced himself that if he could just have her one night she would be out of his system and then his workplace would be peaceful again. Yeah, sure it would...
Hot damn, it was H0T to read about Rebecca's introduction to a lifestyle that she feared, but was irresistibly drawn to. Having seen the beautiful loving relationship between her best friend and her husband who lived the lifestyle, she was curious. She was drawn to the way he treated her so well, looking after and protecting her. She's always wanted that for herself. But what would it cost her to get it? Were all BDSM relationships like that, or were they the exception? What would be expected of her? Was she capable of giving up control? Could she let go of her hangups long enough to enjoy the experience? Well, there was only one way to find out. And why not him? He was perfection in a suit, and she imagined what was underneath it was even better. It was the New Year and her resolution was new goals and a new life... starting now.

Rebecca has fought her way to where is today. Even if her arrogant boss doesn't see it. Her boss is beyong sexy until he opens his bossy, arrogant jerk of a mouth.
Bennett is bossy alright. He has to have control in ALL situations. He craves it. One thing he is struggling to control is how he reacts to his sexy assistant Rebecca.
What happens when they run into each other at Luminous? FIREWORKS!!!!
This is my favorite book of this series so far! This book is an insanely intense, passionate story! I read it straight through because I needed to know what happened next! Bennett exudes power, strength and dominance, but the way he treasures Rebecca could make any girl pea green with envy! I loved every world! Stunning!! Passionate!! Your panties may combust and your heart will melt!
A MUST READ!!!

Wowza! What a hot and interesting story. Enjoyed from start to finish!
