4.5 Stars A great psychological thriller, this suspense filled romance had me captivated and on the edge of my seat from the first chapter. I am thoroughly enjoying this series and highly recommend if you haven’t read it you add it to your list today.

This one kept me guessing right up to the end. Every time I thought I knew the bad guy I was proved wrong. It didn't help that there was so many options on who the bad guy was, so many crimes past and present pulled into things. It was hard to tell what part was related, turns out all of them were in some part. By the time the end of the book came I was shaking my head at the why of some of the crimes, such petty reasons.

The developing relationship between Macey and Bowen was good. I liked that Bowen, while knowing he wanted Macey, he took the relationship in steps that were ok for Macey. In doing so he played the long game to get what he wanted in the end.

It will be interesting to see how the team is in the future, so many crazy things happen to them here.

I know I’ve griped about books in Cynthia Eden’s past RS series reading absolutely the same before, but her most recent Killer Instinct series seems to have largely escaped that and has proven to be thoroughly enjoyable for me. That’s not to say that the Killer Instinct books--including the latest entry, INTO THE NIGHT-- don’t have all the standard elements of a psychological thriller and the standard Eden protective-alpha hero and survivor-of-some-great-trauma heroine, but they haven’t given me the same character and story fatigue that the Mine, Dark Obsession, and LOST series did. Maybe it’s the timing, or maybe it’s the fact that the ‘Eden-ness’ feels toned down in the Killer Instinct books (while Ms. Eden is very good, her style is very distinctive and repetitive, and she has a very extensive backlist), but they’ve been working for me. I read INTO THE NIGHT in a single afternoon and enjoyed getting to know Macey Night and Bowen Murphy’s story and the fast-paced, high-octane action… but I must admit things got a little over-the-top at the end, with what felt like every RS and psychological thriller cliché thrown in.

I went into this book knowing only one thing. Cynthia Eden wrote this book. I have read most of everything she has written, but never one of her dark thrillers. I never got the chance to read the first two titles, but thanks to Harlequin, I had the pleasure to read Into The Night.
Into The Night drew you into the world where everything was not what it seemed and everyone was not what they appear to be. This story had so many twist and turns. The body counts were stacking up, and only one team could stop a vigilante killer that seems to be out killing serial killers. But, that wasn’t good enough for this vigilante killer. He wanted to put his skills against, one of the best team that ever was. Can the team of Macey and Bowen catch this killer before another victim is found?
I wish I can give this book more than 5 stars. The plot was enthralling, and the suspense was spellbinding. Into the Night had you guessing right up until the very last page. Can you say I didn’t see that ending coming, I assumed I guessed the identity of the villain of this story, by the introduction of the character. However, with this story having so many plot twists, I found myself second guessing at times. To me, this story is most certainly a keeper, one I will find myself reading several more times before I got enough of reading it.
I must find time to read the other books in this series. But for now, Into the Night certainly, deserve every bit of the 5 stars and more.

An excellent thriller with some steamy romance. There were a lot of twists and surprises in the story. I look forward to further books in this series.

This is the third and possible final book in the killer instinct series. This is my second title in the series I have read and it did not disappoint. Cynthia creates perfect "who done it "to leave your head dizzy. Even after many years has passed Macey Night is still having nightmares dealing with when she was attacked by Dr. Daniel Haddox who tried to kill her before she brutally escaped with physical and emotional scars. Macey has now stopped practicing medicine and now has become an FBI profiler making it her life's effort to stop men like Daniel. Macey and her partner are called to a case by a doctor who realizes that the murder of a woman fit the profile of what Daniel did to Macey. So begins this novel that is fast paced it feels like you a watching a police procedural. Macey and Bowen are fighting against time to stop a killer who seems to taking out other serial killers . Is this killer going to stop at just other killers or is he after something or someone. Cynthia does not disappoint letting the reader into the mind of the FBI profilers and into the mind of killer that leaves you guessing down to the last pages who the killer could be. Reviews are on goodreads and amazon.

Pulled me in from page one. Well written having not read the previous books, this story was fresh and new. It hit all the right buttons to keep me interested and reading.

Wow, this book was just fantastic! I enjoyed it so much! I've enjoyed this series so much, and I was so glad that we got another book! We did meet Macey in Before the Dawn, but it was in this book that we actually got to know her better!

We had the story of why she fit with this team of people who have a special connection to or insight into killers. In Macey's case, it was because she was a victim. She survived, but she has some scars from that time. Which sucks.

I really enjoyed Bowen, he was a great character, and I really enjoyed his connection with Macey. They started a really amazing relationship, and reading about the two of them was just great! While they were colleagues, that didn't mean they couldn't fit together.

The mystery in this book was awesome! All of them have in this series, this bad guy was kinda pretty awful! The number of people he was killing, wow. Not acceptable at all! So I was glad how everything worked out, that was a satisfying ending!

Really amazing book, and I'd love a 4th book and more!

Now this is what a great Psychological Thriller looks like. I gotta tell you I found myself gripping my Kindle so tight that I got cramps in my fingers. Don't start this book until you've got a free block of time to read nonstop cause you won't want to lay it down or stop to eat. My husband swore I gave him killer looks anytime he tried to engage me in conversation while reading this book. I just remember it was about 3 AM when I finished and had to race to the bathroom as I hadn't moved for hours. I also loved that the twisty ending had me guessing right up until the very end. Kudos to Ms Eden as that doesn't happen too often. I did figure out a tiny part but not the majority of it. Though this is the third in the series, it can definitely be read as a stand-alone.

FBI agents, Macey and Bowen, are partners on a unique task force of agents who have strong connections to serial killers. In Macey's case she was the only survivor of a sadistic serial killer called "The Doctor". She has spent her life profiling and hunting killers while also trying to find the man who tortured her and got away. Macey and Bowen know that they're not supposed to cross the line and have to keep their relationship professional but that's easier said than done. Excellent romantic thriller that keeps you guessing till the very end.

Interesting book, but I discovered there can be such a thing as too many murders and too many murderers. This book suffered from that.

The beginning is riveting and there is a strong start to the story. Mid-way through the book is when the "throw in the kitchen sink" approach took over. Serial killers are rare, thank goodness, but someone reading this book wouldn't know that.

The romance added a nice touch, but for me, this was about solving the crimes.

I really enjoyed this installment of the series, and it can be read as a standalone! Trust me, I forgot I read the first book, haven't read the second and jumped into this one with both feet.

It is fast paced with a few twists and some romance the trulls things together nicely. I quick read with a good story line.

Into the Night is a dark, but sexy, and romantic suspense novel by Cynthia Eden that I recommend both this book, as well as the two that came before it in her Killer Instinct series.

This was a page turning, romantic thriller that follows FBI agent Macey Night and her partner Bowen Murphy as they hunt a serial killer who is always one step ahead of the FBI in finding their most wanted, and eliminating them before they can be brought to justice.

I enjoyed Into the Night, and couldn't put this book down even though it wasn't my favorite in the series. I was entertained and delightfully horrified by the body count that just kept piling up! If you haven't already read the first two books in the series, I think you can easily start here without being lost, but book one is sooo amazing you'd be doing yourself a great injustice missing out! So start here, start at the beginning....just start! If you're a fan of dark, suspenseful romance, than you've found your next series!

Macey Night escaped from the clutches of the serial killer dubbed "The Doctor" when she was a physician, after her ordeal she became part of a special team that hunted down killers. Bowen Murphy is no different, his fiance was killed by a serial rapist and he vowed to hunt down the man and kill him, and that's what he did. After the military, he continued on with finding killers and putting them behind bars.

Now, Macey and Bowen are in the sights of a vigilante's crosshairs and becomes dubbed the "Profiler" since he is killing killers. The first of his victims, was "The Doctor". The "Profiler" lured Macey to the North Carolina Smokey Mountains to show her that her nightmare was dead. With the vigilante serial killer being out there, Macey is constantly reminded that evil lurks and what its like to be prey, so she is driven to catch him.

Bowen is sexy, volatile, protective, and focused on protecting Macey no matter what. With the killers sights set on Macey, or so they believe, he sticks to Macey, but since he's attracted to her staying away isn't easy. In the end, the killer is all around them and it takes them both along with the rest of the team to take down the predator and strive for the life they want together.

There are instances where during the story I am able to figure out who the killer is, but in this one the secret was well kept. I had suspicions about how it was but was only sorta right. While I really enjoyed watching Bowen and Macey fall for one another, this was not the best book of the series, even though the couple falls in close with Blake and Samantha as my favorite. So many twists and turns, and suspense to keep you interested.

This was a super fast paced, high octane wild ride. And I loved Macey & Bowen's story...it made the mystery and suspense that much better. And just when you think you figured it out...she knocks you for a loop. Another great book from Cynthia Eden!

Full review to be published online in late December.

INTO THE NIGHT is Cynthia Eden at her Romantic Suspense best. A page turning plotline; with a killer that stayed many steps ahead most of the story. He not only profiled his victims; but also the team of investigators who are on hus tail.

The twist of a vigilante serial killer who is killing serial killers was quite intriguing. Even though some things were obvious there were plenty of twists to keep the reader guessing.

INTO THE NIGHT turns the lead character reins over from profiler Samantha Dark to Special Agent Macey Night. However, she and Bowen Murphy do a very nice job of creating their own romance and story.

INTO THE NIGHT is the third book in Cynthia Eden’s quite interesting “Killer Instinct” series; and can easily be read standalone.

This is what I was expecting when I read the previous book.
Thoroughly enjoyed this, the storyline and the characters.

In the third instalment of the Killer Instinct series, we have Macey Night and Bowen Murphy. FBI partners but if you have read any the previous ones you realise there is probably more to their relationship than just partners.
Unlike the previous book, the flow of their romantic/sexual relationship just flowed better. It felt more natural when reading, rather than rushed.
The crime/killer aspect of the story flowed better too and it was interesting.
I loved the small twist at the end too and totally wasn't expecting it.

The writing just seemed so much better with this instalment. I read this in half a day as I couldn't put it down.
The entire story was just a lot more interesting and kept you more engaged.

I love all of the characters of their FBI team and hope there will be more books in the future in this series. I feel like this author has hit her stride and after reading this, I will definitely be looking into her previous books.

I sometimes feel for authors who love writing murder mysteries, since these perennially suffer from the inability to hold their readers’ interest, particularly when the cases meld into one another and they stop standing out, even with excellent writing and atmosphere-creation. Throw some romantic suspense in it and the whole story becomes electrified, but that problem of keeping things fresh remains.

Cynthia Eden’s ‘Killer Instinct’ series is strangely one that keeps going under the radar for me, though it really deserves more than a second look. Perhaps this is a strange observation but I think for most of the books in this series, the characters and plots tended to blur into an interchangeable ball of mystery, murder and gore for me.

‘Into the Night’ did feel a tad bit too similar to the point where I couldn’t really distinguish each protagonist from another because all of them had their own secrets, worked for the FBI and turned dirty-talking alphas or wanting, sex-starved women in bed. Yet I did like Bowen and Macey, as I did the other couples (though they weren’t memorable enough to leave their own indelible stamp on me) so that was some conflict for me right there as a RS addict.

Thankfully Eden does deliver her twists, knowing full well that a murder mystery isn’t just a straight path leading to the whodunnit moment and that kept me entertained throughout, as did the surprisingly fast switch of relationship between Bowen and Macey. The mystery branches out into something more complex as the story goes on and with a few cases of the hunter getting hunted type of revelations, I got more and more invested as the pages kept turning. There are some parts where disbelief must clearly be suspended—it did get loopy when it was revealed—but by and large, there were hints that made it not too surprising at the end.

‘Into the Night’ isn’t a bad read and I’m going to say this up front. But it’s fatigue that’s setting in on my part, and I’m going with the been there, done that and read that line because it’s true. Like someone with a need of another, bigger and craftier fix, I think I’m jaded when it comes to Eden’s brand of RS (especially the serial killer cases because I've read so many of Eden's books) unless there’s something revolutionary in the works to come.

This is Cynthia Eden at her best.. A total page turner with a killer that stayed many steps ahead as he not only profiled his victims but also the team hunting him.

Interesting twist that a vigilante serial killer was killing serial killers. Definitely got your fill of twisted through out this book. And even though some things were obvious there were twist a plenty that kept you on your toes at guessing what was going on.

One of the things I've liked about all of these books is finding out how each of the profilers lives were touched by a serial killer in their pasts – which was a requirement to be on the special FBI team. Samantha Dark's history held the top spot until this book. Macey's was pretty twisted and how that carried over into present day was another thing that kept you turning the pages..

Rowan and Macey also tied with Blake and Samantha as being my favorite couple in the series. Rowan was so dark and broody and alpha with his own past with a killer that still haunts him today.
