Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this book. Unfortunately it’s not for me. Did not finish @ 16%.

DNF-ish at page 75-ish.

Maybe on a different day I'd have finished this book. I saw that it had potential in the part that I read. But lately, I've really been looking for books that will make me happy. I thought this might be one of them, but it just wasn't. I didn't particularly like most of what I read, and I kind of just wanted to skip to the end. So I did - I skimmed over the last chapter and a half, plus some parts I flipped through in the middle. The ending made me think that I might have liked the book if I'd gone all the way through. Some of the parts in the middle made me think that I pushing farther in would have just made me DNF later. Maybe it just wasn't the right time for this book for me, or maybe it just isn't the right book. I guess we'll never know.

This had potential but I had a hard time connecting with the characters, which left me disinterested in the relationship. I ended up DNFing this story at about 35%.

Loved the idea of the story and the real psychology behind it but didn’t finish reading the story. Had a sort of clique feeling and felt like I knew where it was going.

This was so much fun to read and so different than other books I have read before. I am such a big fan of the different ways this was written.

This book was so much. It takes you on a journey as two random people answer 36 questions. I wasn't sure where this story was going to go at first, but it ended up being so much dang fun and such a sweet romance. I love books that are written in unique formats and this was definitely one that fell in that category. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a sweet, fun & unique story!

This was a pretty cute, though predictable, YA romance. But, if I had to choose, I'd rather just listen to the 36 Questions musical over and over again.

Didn't finish
Really clever writing and interesting premise, but I didn't care about the characters. So sorry.

I loved the idea of this book but it was hard for me to connect with the characters. In the end I just don't think this was the right book for me.

I thought this book was cute and fluffy, and a super fast read at under 300 pages!

I loved the premise behind the plot. A few (well 36) questions that could lead to how we view a person. This sometimes leads to knowing someone enough to create a relationship. How questions and answers can result in feelings is amazing.

I also liked how aspects were funny and had me laughing out loud, and thought the character development was fantastic.

I wasn't a huge fan of the writing, and this could be down to the fact that I don't often read YA contemporary anymore. I also thought the book could have done with a few less questions.

A cute meet-cute. I was intrigued by the premise, which takes its inspiration from the New York Times's Modern Love column.

A book about experimental questions that bring characters together in a predictable way. Although the storyline could be a bit slow, it is nevertheless interesting.

cute and entertaining, but not something that will keep you thinking back on it or wanting to re-read it even if it is a nice read overall.

Thirty-six questions in order to find love? Why not. Not as easy as it seems. There are conflicts between Paul and Hildy. Can they overcome them? Read to find out!

The real appeal to this novel is the novelty of it's being framed on the concept of those 36 questions. It's not a particularly complex tale nor is it peopled with particularly complex characters. Read it once for some simple entertainment. I'm not certain that it would hold up to a second read.

This was so, so cute! It follows two people who joins a psychological study; can you fall in love with someone after these 36 questions? Can love be engineered? Hildy and Paul are definitely not the usual couple and I really enjoyed how they interacted. I also had to know what happened immediately, so I finished the book quite quickly. Such an enjoyable read!

I'm not the person who this story is for and so to mark it down for that seems like cheating, but I've enjoyed other YA books. I think in the end, I need to come back to it when my mind's a little clearer to see how it fares then.

Im know the study that this book is based on which is why i wanted to request it... and it was a cute book. Sort of a typical YA book in my view...

Thank you very much for the opportunity to read this book. However it wasn't for me and I had to DNF.

This is a cute story that I’m pretty sure the younger me would love. The plot got a lot of potentials but just didn’t meet my expectation. The format of text messages exchange and Q & A makes this a quick read so that’s a plus. It ended up okay despite me struggling at the beginning, finding it hard to stay focus as it failed to get my attention. The characters are okay, too, but I can’t really connect to either of them. But, overall, I still find this lighthearted and sometimes funny YA romance an enjoyable read.
