I have loved many of this author's books and was excited to give this one, a re-issue, a try. Unfortunately, its age really shows. The characters were at the same time over-written and two-dimensional, and the plot started taking turns that were somewhat alarming to a modern reader (heroine kidnapped and lied to repeatedly, etc). I became so uncomfortable that I was unable to finish the book.

The reader is treated to Audubon and Elena's story which was actually a part of series of books when first published in 1991 with suspense, spies and Audubon finally finding love. Have the series from Loveswept in paperback on the shelf and enjoyed getting to read this tale again in ebook form. Can be read alone but hope to see the other books in this series in ebook form .

Ebook from Net galley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

I think this book was previously published in 1990 as The Silver Fox and the Red Hot Dove in the Loveswept series. T.S. Audubon now has his own story with Eleana a Russian scientist. It's strange how some things never change over the years with spying and intrigue. Good story. I like Ms. Smith's style and humor. She has many titles available and they're all good.

I found this novel to be a bit too light of a read for me. None the less I did get into the story and enjoyed it.

"Very heartfelt and realistic. I could connect with Hope on a personal level and it even made me tear up at the end. A must read!

I always enjoy Deborah Smith's work, and love that she's able to write in many genres. The Silver Fox was fun and sexy. More novels featuring this group of characters would be most welcome!
