This is the first short story in the Uninhibited trilogy. The character development is pretty shallow before Jasper and Cari get down and dirty, which tells me this story is primarily focused on getting me off but not necessarily to tell a complex, multifaceted story. Just a bit of fun! It ends with a cliffhanger, but you won’t be waiting long. Stay tuned for Unbound within a week.

Untamed is like a tease with all of the hot and wild build up but you get a finish! However it's not what you might think you want. I wasn't sure about the storyline with the bodyguard but he sure does make things interesting! The cliffhanger is what really keeps you wanting more though!

The Unihibited serial by Lauren Hawkeye was a story right up my alley. It included a heroine with an interesting job, a dangerous mystery and a big, dominant bodyguard sent to keep her safe. 

It seems like each of the three installments in this serial actually equate to a complete novella, not a full-length novel. I read all three of these, back-to-back, in one afternoon. Each installment is pretty short, but definitely packed with lots of action and steam. When they're all put together, you have an exciting and sexy story with a brave heroine and a no-nonsense bodyguard who definitely knows what he likes. 

In the beginning of the story, we learn that Cari Dunn is an archaeologist with a reality show that has taken her into the deep south. Her dig site has been contested by local Native American groups and a local business man. When threatening messages start showing up at Cari's hotel, her producer hires her a bodyguard until the culprit is found. 

You can tell that Cari is feeling a little disenfranchised with her job. I got the impression that she loves archaeology and history first - the TV show is just a means to an end. She's very independent and is a little tired of being ruled by her network. When her bodyguard turns out to be a big, handsome man who she has an incredible, instantaneous connection with, Cari thinks that maybe she can blow off some steam with him. 

Jasper is a bit of an enigma. At first he seems unaffected by Cari. He's all business - all about her safety. But then things change pretty suddenly between them, and we see what Jasper is like underneath his serious exterior. What he likes in the bedroom seems to complement Cari's personality, so their chemistry is super hot, and their times together are even hotter. Especially when you add in a colleague of Jasper's sent in for backup. 

While Jasper and Cari's chemistry can't be denied, it was a little harder for me to grasp true affection for each other. There was absolutely lust and then trust and respect for each other's abilities. But, I didn't *quite* believe that there was romantic feelings there. Perhaps if there were more pages to establish affection and depth, it would feel better to me. Because I believe they could get there - there just wasn't quite enough time for it here. 

All together, the Uninhibited serial was a great way to spend an afternoon.

Wow what a steamy romance story and will comment more when I have read the other 2 books.  Can't wait

I voluntarily read this advanced readers copy of this book.  Lauren uses strong characters and a great story line.  This book is filled with lots of twist and turns.  I so can't wait to read more of this series.  You will love reading Cari and Jasper's journey.  It is definitely a page turner, cause I couldn't put it down once I started reading it.

Untamed is a sexy start to a new series! Cari is a celebrity archaeologist who has attracted a stalker of sorts, so her production company and boss have hired her a bodyguard. Unfortunately for Cari, the bodyguard turns out to be a hot, buffed guy, Jasper, who is seemingly immovable in her quest to get him to notice her. That is until one night at a club as she's dancing with another hot guy, trying to make Jasper jealous, and he finally bites.

When he informs her that he likes to watch and to share, but that sex has to be on his terms, meaning he's in control, he's fully expecting her to balk at that. But, she's just as hot for him and for his brand of dominance that she has absolutely no plans on rejecting his offer.

But, still, there's the little matter of someone who seems to dislike her and the reason Jasper was actually hired, so how will the new dimension to their relationship affect his job? Can they have both a relationship and keep her safe and find out who's harassing her?

i really enjoyed Lauren Hawkeye's Uninhibited series and read one after another super little reads that you just wont want to put down.Really well written with a great storyline and good characters would recommend these three books.

Short, sexy and intense - this is a great start to this series!  I can't wait to read more!

This is the first book I've read by this author. This is the first book in this series by this author. This is a very short read, about 65 pages.  This book is full of hot and steamy scenes, fantastic banter between the characters and a hot alpha hero mixed with a sassy heroine. Fantastic story, there was  a lot packed into the pages of this short read. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.

Can you dig it? Cari, a celebrity archaeologist, can, unless you're referring to the Georgia heat. Not to mention she's also tired of the red tape concerning her dig, and, oh yeah, someone's leaving notes on her hotel door, and they aren't complimentary. They know where she's staying. *cue scary music* To make it even worse? A hotel employee, against strict instructions not to do so, confesses there's been others, but they've been kept from Cari so as not to worry her...*cough cough that's not the reason*

When she meets her new bodyguard, Jasper, per the network's doing, she's convinced she doesn't need one, believing everything is simply pranks. But, she can't deny she felt something upon seeing Jasper. It doesn't take long for Jasper to not only convince Cari they're real, but also to incite her to kiss him. Unfortunately, he doesn't appear as impacted by it as her, reverting back to professionalism instantly.

However, Jasper's resolve doesn't last long. He knows there's something between him and Cari, and when she pushes, unknowingly hitting on one of his kink preferences, he can't keep his distance any longer. He will take her, and he'll ensure others see it...literally.

I have been seeing this author's name repeatedly and when I saw this series was up for review I jumped at the chance to try her out!  She's completely new to me as an author though not new to the craft.  

Untamed is the first book in a trilogy about an archaeologist (Cari) who has made a name for herself being on TV and showing the world the treasures she uncovers.  Her current location in this book has had some issues.  There's a land dispute and this is where Cari's expertise comes in handy.  

Someone doesn't care for Cari though.  So much that the network hires an Alpha bodyguard to be with Cari at all times.  Now remember - this book is short.  It's listed as 63 pages on an retailers site.  So things move quickly in that small amount of pages.  

Anyway - Cari and Jasper have major insta-lust.  So much so by the end of this story I'm asking myself - "Did that just happen?"  I wanted to say this is way too soon for this to be happening! The story is written well.  I think the author escalated the timeline of the story because of the briefness of the books in the series.  

There is a bit of suspense trying to figure out who would hurt Cari and can they find the culprit in time.  That remains the question of the day.

This is part one of a three part serial and let me just say, oh holy hotness YES! This is an extremely steamy and unbelievably sexy read. For those who love take control alphas with a side of exhibitionism and some action thrown in. If you're looking for a quick, panty melting distraction to your day, this is it!

She finds her door has been vandalized and it’s not the first time that it’s happened. This is when we meet Jasper, her new bodyguard. This is a short story and ends in a cliff hanger! So be aware that you will need to read more books to find out the complete story. It’s a very well written story and I can’t wait to read Part 2. Unfortunately this wasn’t really my cup of tea, Cari Dunn, the celebrity archaeologist meets up with new bodyguard Jasper Benjamin and it gets steamy from the start .

I did have to keep reading though just too find out who her stalker was and who was trying to kill her.

The attraction and passion between them started from the minute they set eyes on each other and Jasper also liked it kinda kinky , with liking to watch Cari have sex with another to it becoming a threesome.

Okay, this review is going to be short.  Why?  Because this is part 1 of 3 parts in a complete serial.  I know, I’ve been very vocal about NOT ever reading a serial but this one was sent complete so I decided to take a chance.  Let you in on a little secret…I’ve read all three parts.  😉

Keep in mind that this is erotic so there is sex o plenty.  😉  Voyeurism, exhibitionism, a tease of menage, just to name the highlights.  But it’s interesting how Ms. Hawkeye switched some of the gender roles when it comes to it.  I was shocked but also very pleased.  It’s a running theme throughout the serial and it’s very, very good.  It explains a lot about a certain character in the book and makes me like them even more.

The suspense element that starts in this part is great.  The ending of part 1 is a shocker.

I realize that this serial is NOT available in all parts to readers.  The last part releases in late July but it is definitely one that you should pick up.

The story is being published in stages and is a quick hit read. Even though it is short, it doesn't skimp on the action or sexiness. It is a straight on story with no angst but a lot of heat and great side story.

The characters of Cari, a sassy archaeologist with a stalker and Jasper her body guard make for one hot story.  As I said this is just a novella but is a great beginning to what promises to be a fun read with some great chemistry.

I devoured this three part novella series all in one sitting because it was sexy and entertaining as hell.  I was psyched that I didn't have to wait it out to get all of the installments - the cliffhangers would have killed me!!

Cari is a star of a reality TV show about her archaeologist digs and while she's not Kardashian famous she has her own bit of a following.  However, her latest job isn't very popular with the locals and she has started receiving threats which leads her production company to hire a bodyguard.

Enter Jasper and all of his naughty hotness.

You cannot even imagine the instant and intense sexual chemistry these two share. It leaves you feeling turned on and consumed by their lust. Their erotic storyline is coupled with the suspenseful sub-plot of who is after Cari.  All together it creates a fast paced and exciting read.
 
I thought Untamed was awesome and a great start to this series.  My recommendation is to one-click and meet this crazy duo - you will love their Uninhibited Series.
