If you thought book one was going to take you down and dirty, it had nothing on the second book! I like that the reader gets more of Jasper's history in this novel and he isn't such a mystery. He was a former Marine and it makes complete sense. Cari is starting to really fall for him too beyond the physical aspects. No matter what though he is doing his job. “You can hate me all you want, as long as you’re safe.” He is a tough nut to crack and his kink is very very enticing!

The Unihibited serial by Lauren Hawkeye was a story right up my alley. It included a heroine with an interesting job, a dangerous mystery and a big, dominant bodyguard sent to keep her safe.

It seems like each of the three installments in this serial actually equate to a complete novella, not a full-length novel. I read all three of these, back-to-back, in one afternoon. Each installment is pretty short, but definitely packed with lots of action and steam. When they're all put together, you have an exciting and sexy story with a brave heroine and a no-nonsense bodyguard who definitely knows what he likes.

In the beginning of the story, we learn that Cari Dunn is an archaeologist with a reality show that has taken her into the deep south. Her dig site has been contested by local Native American groups and a local business man. When threatening messages start showing up at Cari's hotel, her producer hires her a bodyguard until the culprit is found.

You can tell that Cari is feeling a little disenfranchised with her job. I got the impression that she loves archaeology and history first - the TV show is just a means to an end. She's very independent and is a little tired of being ruled by her network. When her bodyguard turns out to be a big, handsome man who she has an incredible, instantaneous connection with, Cari thinks that maybe she can blow off some steam with him.

Jasper is a bit of an enigma. At first he seems unaffected by Cari. He's all business - all about her safety. But then things change pretty suddenly between them, and we see what Jasper is like underneath his serious exterior. What he likes in the bedroom seems to complement Cari's personality, so their chemistry is super hot, and their times together are even hotter. Especially when you add in a colleague of Jasper's sent in for backup.

While Jasper and Cari's chemistry can't be denied, it was a little harder for me to grasp true affection for each other. There was absolutely lust and then trust and respect for each other's abilities. But, I didn't *quite* believe that there was romantic feelings there. Perhaps if there were more pages to establish affection and depth, it would feel better to me. Because I believe they could get there - there just wasn't quite enough time for it here.

All together, the Uninhibited serial was a great way to spend an afternoon.

What a brilliant ending to the book. I have decided I need to look out for more books from this author as thoroughly enjoyed the whole series even though these are books that I do not normally read

I love this follow up novel about Cari and Jasper. It is hot and has steamy scenes that were very well written. Short novel that is a part of a series.
Hot chemistry between the main characters and supporting characters that made me laugh.
There is drama, action and romance in this story. And there is included a little special in the middle which is very erotic.
This book has to be read after the first book in this series of three. It is not a standalone.
What I miss the most in this is Jaspers POV and Jacksons when he joins the story. That would have made me thrilled.
I can only recommend this series if you are into drama, romance and hot scenes.

Whew, the heat is amped up in Unbound. Cari and Jasper head off to Atlanta to get away from things for awhile. When they arrive at their hotel, Cari discovers that the hot guy she'd been dancing with at the club to make Jasper jealous, is in fact Jasper's friend and fellow Marine turned bodyguard. They have a hot proposition for her: she gets to have both of them pleasure her all night long. Jasper will watch while his new woman gets taken thoroughly by his friend. The only obstacle is Cari. Will she agree? Can she let herself be that wild?

But come morning they have to head back because Cari's room was vandalized and Daly (the man they suspect is harassing her) was attacked. What will they find out when they return? Will the Sheriff whom Cari and Jasper saw earlier when they met with Daly suspect them?

Super hot and intriguing - I have been totally sucked into this series! I can't wait to read the third installment!

Book two picks off where one ends.
This time around the danger seems more out there and the heat picks up.
An act to make Jasper jealous has not turned into a menage. Holy crap one very hot night.
Now we're left with questions of what is to come.
I guess that means you just have to buy book three to see what happens.

I know I"m really looking forward to the conclusion,.

We find Cari and Jasper in a room where the window has just been broken out. What does Cari want to do? Who is Daly? Where does Jasper take her? What does he do to ensure she stays put and is safe while he checks things out? What happens in this novella is purely sensual, sexual, HOT, steamy, and very erotic. We find out some more things about Jasper and even Jackson whom Cari met in the first novella of the series. I so cannot wait to read the third one. This one did not end anything like what I would have expected it to. It was great fun. Enjoy this sexy read.

**Disclaimer: This trilogy needs to be read in order as it's a continuing story involving the same main characters.**

We met Jasper and Cari in book one. Cari, a famous archeologist, has been receiving threats and the powers-that-be decided to hire her a bodyguard, Jasper. The attraction between the two was intense and instant, and it didn't take long before they acted on it.

Now, however, the danger is made reality again and Jasper must ensure Cari is safe at all costs. Not only is his determination due to professionalism, but Cari has already begun to mean something to him as well. Yet Cari, unable to understand why someone would be after her, and positive she knows who it is, begins to unknowingly make Jasper's job a little harder, a complication he deals with, leading to Jasper and Cari learning more about the other.

Another Jasper fact? He, as he informs Cari, likes to watch...yeah, he enjoys seeing his woman with another man, and, though she doesn't react outwardly, Cari is definitely listening, and intrigued. And when Jasper surprises Cari with a short getaway, informing her he's set things in motion to explore said kink with her, she's surprised to see a familiar face. Jackson, the man she danced with the other night to make Jasper jealous. Yet another is to discover Jasper and Jackson know each other, and have for years.

The three share an explosive night together, unfortunately the morning after is ruined by bad news.

What news did the trio receive after the night they spent together? What happens next? Do Jasper and Cari go back to the status quo as a couple, of sorts? Or was a connection forged between Jackson and Cari that can't be denied  either? Can Jasper keep Cari safe?

One-click now and continue following Jasper and Cari's journey as they work toward keeping her safe, discovering who's after her, and explore the opportunities that await them.

On a purely personal note, I really wish we were also given Jasper's point of view, and Jackson's once he joins the couple. Secondly, though it isn't said, it is implied Jasper and Jackson have done this with other women, and I don't care for that. Yes, I know one of Jasper's kink is voyeurism in various forms, but I'd like him sharing Cari with Jackson to be special, a first for all three of them in regards to who's present.

Unbound is book 2 in the Uninhibited series by Lauren Hawkeye. I hope you don't mind cold showers, because you're going to need one.

Unbound picks up where Untamed left us, and Jasper is full on Alpha and will do anything to keep Cari safe. And of course she doesn't make it easy.

The chemistry between these two is so unbelievably hot. I thought the first book was hot, well book 2 is even hotter. Between Cari's stalker and a certain surprise Jasper has for Cari, has this girl sitting on the edge of her seat!

Yes we're left with a cliffie, but that's ok! Book 3 will be out sooner then you think.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review.

The Uninhibited Series must be read in order. They will not make sense out of order. The final book in this series releases a week after this so you won't have to wait long.

In the first book we met Cari, an archaeologist who's reality show of her digs caused some controversy in the current town she's working in. Her network paid for her to have a bodyguard as threats against Cari have gotten out of hand. Her hotel room has been compromised and she needs someone to help watch her back. The first book ends with a sexy encounter with her bodyguard after Cari left off some steam practicing her martial art.

This book delves into more sexy time with the characters adding a third party to their bed. All the while someone is still stalking Cari and preventing her from getting the job completed. Though the time off screen doesn't seem to be hurting the relationship Cari and Jasper have struck during this ordeal.

There's many things going on in this short story. The finale will reveal all. Just one more week to see who's out for blood.

Unbound is the second part in a three part serial by Lauren Hawkeye. It picks up immediately from where the first part left off, so if you haven't read the first one, you should do so.

Cari hadn't really taken to heart that she was in danger. But, when someone shatters the window in her room - while she's in it, she realizes that the threat against her is real. The list of enemies grows as she struggles to accept the protection Jasper offers her while trying to figure out just who is responsible. Removing her from the area is Jasper's way of ensuring they have at least one night of peace but danger still threatens.

In the first part, I wrote in my review that I wasn't sure what to think of Cari, that her character was written very unevenly. This is still true. Her actions and reactions to certain events left me scratching my head wondering why. She is in danger and rather than accept the help offered her, she instead pushes back, usually against common sense and making her seem irrational. And yet, following such scenes will be something that shows that Cari is a rational being.

The strength in this part lies in the sex scenes. Jasper and Cari light the sheets on fire with their passion. I won't spoil it but there are definitely so truly hot fantasies brought to life here.

At this point, I'm fairly certain I know who the villain is and I'm curious to see whether Ms. Hawkeye will focus more on the action rather than the passion in the next and last part of the serial.

This second part of the serial has the same strengths and weaknesses as the first. If you enjoyed the first part, you'll enjoy this.

Another great installment from Ms. Hawkeye. This is one is a bit dirtier than the first one. More voyeurism, definitely a menage (deliciously done), and the suspense element is ramped up, too. I still haven’t figured it out at this point. And yes, I’m finished with the serial. It just gets better and better. Plus, we get to see a side of Jasper that will finally cement your love for him.

Jackson is just beyond delicious and I would love a story with just him. She only scratches the surface with him and I bet he has a lot more to say about Jasper and Cari at this point. I really like Ms. Hawkeye’s writing. It’s fun, dirty, and snarky at times. Cari just can’t keep her mouth shut at times and it leads to some humorous scenes. I also like how Jasper and Cari are figuring out how much that they actually like each other beyond the sex.

Don’t miss this serial. I don’t read them but this one is a must-read!

Celebrity archaeologist Cari Dunn knew an affair with Jasper Benjamin was dangerous. Especially after the sound of shattering glass interrupts what was supposed to be a pleasure-filled night. When the threats against Cari start to stack up and the list of suspects seems higher than ever, Jasper calls for backup. Some very hot and exciting backup. For one night, Cari feels more protected than ever. But if they’re lost in passion, can they see the danger before it’s too late?

Review:

The action starts right where the first book ended. This like the first installment is a quick read, easy to finish in a lunch break. The sexy goes up a notch in the second part as we get a little menage a trois. The danger also escalates as Cari and Jasper are attacked in her hotel room as well as others are attacked who are associated with Cari.

I hate to give away more as it really is a very short read. I will say the writing is great and the story is very sexy with a little mystery and action thrown in. Again, this is the second book in a three part serial and need to be read in order.

This is book two in the “Uninhibited” series. I would highly suggest taking a shower after reading this because holy hotness! This book picks up where book one ended. The bodyguard Japer will do everything he can to protect Cari. These two have some seriously hot sweaty chemistry, Jasper is most defiantly a dominate alpha. In this story you can see a relationship on a more personal level is starting, Jasper shares some of his secrets and Cari starts to trust him to protect her. The author does a good job at not giving away too many details as to who Cari’s stalker could be, but I have my suspicions.
So far this series is worth its weight in batteries… I mean price, I highly recommend.
