Another heart-breaking and heart-warming story from the incredible Nadine Dorries.

The Author manages to perfectly capture the times and trials of the 1950’s in Liverpool with all the families banding together to help each other out, even if they had nothing themselves.

I loved Noleen Delaney and her family and their drive, spirit and love shone through the story.

WOW!!! Nadine Dorries has wowed me again with the third book in the Lovely Lane series.

Our lovely Nurses Pammy, Beth, Victoria and Dana continue their training at St Angelus hospital, bringing other favourites with them, along with all their individual dramas.

I didn't think this series could get any better after the last book, yet Nadine has proved yet again that there is yet more to come for these wonderful characters who I have come to care about.

I really wish I could award more than 5 stars, because it doesn't quite explain how much I have enjoyed this excellent book.

The third book in the series following the nurses of Lovely Lane, through the ups and downs of nursing life. The Liverpool Hospital is situated on the docks, serving the dock workers and their families. This book follows the intrigue and ups and downs of the poorest members of Liverpool society during the 1950s, and those who care for them, through injury and illness. Love affairs, criminal gangs, disability and poverty all feature in the stories followed through the novel, ensuring that this reader found it hard to put this book down! Nostalgic and feel good read, highly recommended.

Excellent book I have resd the previous books in this series, and as alwsys a must read book it is difficult to put down as you want to know how it will end,.
Gives us insight into life in the dock community after the war and the difficulties that people went through and the friendships and community spirt that existed then and which is slowly disapearing.

The third book in the 'Lovely Lane' trilogy by Nadine Dorries. This time the book centres around the mothers living in Lovely Lane and their lives and that of their families. Each family has their own troubles and we see how they manage to cope with everything. Of course the book still also focuses on the student nurses : Beth, Pammy, Dana and Victoria, they all have their own dramas going on also.

Nadine Dorries has a great way of developing the characters in her books and she does this with no exception in this book.
I love the characters of Biddy and Elsie and the banter that goes on between them. This is a wonderful saga set in the early 50's in Liverpool. This book could be read as a stand alone but if you do read this one first I
guarantee you'll want to read the other books in the series.
