I really loved all of these previews. I am especially excited for Warcross and Jane Unlimited. I think these concepts sound so cool and I can't wait to read the full story come this fall!

Warcross sounds great! I need that book like right now. I skimmed through the rest of the samples because they didn't capture my interest. Jane Unlimited has a really boring start, and I lost interest after page 1. The rest aren't really my usual reads.

These were on my most anticipated books of 2017 list and I adored what I read. I'm really intrigued and need to know how the stories progress. Can't wait for the books to come out!

I loved this sampler about these five upcoming releases for the Fall from Penguin! Each story is very unique and going into the book, based on description alone, I would have said the only one I wanted to read was the last book, I think it's called Forest of a Thousand Lanterns. Interestingly enough, it was the one that held the least appeal for me, it was slow, not much progress in the four chapters I read. That being said, I loved Warcross as it starts off with a lot of action right up front with the main character in difficult circumstances and her past being revealed ever so slowly. Definitely want to read that one! Then there is Jane Unlimited which seems to have an air of Jane Eyre about it but then again not. There is definitely a big house, forbidden attics and a mystery and Jane is an orphan with an interesting hobby. This one is a yes because Jane is so interesting as a character. Then Stephanie Perkins has written a Stephen King like scary novel called There's Someone in Your House and it starts out with a bang. I wasn't expecting it and was shocked. I don't read Stephen King like novels but this is Stephanie Perkins, just not like you've ever read before. I was scared and I'm sure I will be for the entire book! Then there is the contemporary, Things I'm seeing Without You. The title is explained in the sample chapters and yes, I'm hooked on this one as well. Clinical depression, hopefully portrayed in the right way and I'm not sure if there will be a suicide or not, but the main character is not in a good place as the story opens. I didn't really connect with her as I was reading but I didn't really know her story yet either. The last story was the only one I probably won't read, Forest of a Thousand Lanterns despite the fact that I love fractured fairy tales and that title. It sounds so magical and fairy tale like. But four chapters in and it just doesn't feel very fresh. So glad I got to sample these stories!

Very, VERY excited for literally all of these. The only one I wasn't already dying to read is Things I'm Seeing Without You, but now I know to look out for it.

WARCROSS - This looks absolutely amazing. I'm a huge fan of Marie Lu's work and I feel like she gets better with each series she writes. Cannot wait to read the full version.

JANE UNLIMITED - I picked up the arc of this from Bookcon and it really seems like Kristin Cashore's experiment in something new worked out really well.

THERE'S SOMEONE INSIDE YOUR HOUSE - I will read anything that Perkins writes, even when she does a complete genre change like this. To be fair, it already seems fabulous.

FOREST OF A THOUSAND LANTERNS - An East Asian fantasy novel with an evil queen? Sign me up! It was good to get a sample to know for sure this is for me and I can say now it definitely is.

Loving these titles! Looking forward to reading the finished books of all five books. I appreciate the glimpse at these excerpts. It'll help get my fall orders together especially regarding YA. Working on setting those up now.
