Cute story about a rat, crocodile, and the rat's imaginary friend who play hide and seek. Great read aloud for storytime at the library.

I loved the illustrations, but the story fell flat for me. It didn't make much sense.. Why couldn't the crocodile see or find Wilbert? He was huge!

This was an interesting title about a rat playing hide and seek with his friend, Wilbert. The rat seeks the help of crocodile. Even though crocodile can always find rat, he is never able to find Wilbert.

I'm left assuming Wilbert is an imaginary friend and that's why he can't be found by anyone other than rat. The illustrations are nice, but the story is just okay. Our three year old wasn't too enthusiastic about this one.

Where Are You Wilbert was a story interpret from another language and I wonder if some of the meaning was lost in translation. A mouse and crocodile begin the hunt for Wilbert in a game of hide and seek, but the mouse can never see him. There was no real point to the story and no real resolution. The illustrations were fun to look at and I especially enjoyed the crocodile.
