I must apologise for not being able to review this book after you so kindly accepted my request. I have had an unfortunately challenging time, but am now free to resume reading and reviewing. I hope that you will not hold my difficulties against me in future requests

I couldn't finish this book. The author spent too much time talking about how amazing he, and his program is, and no time actually presenting the work itself. Offputting, needs a good editor and a completely new structure.

Disappointed. Shared incessantly about how popular his program was and that everyone needs to be on board. This same information is shared in numerous other books and in much better detail.

Sadly i can't say that this book inspired me to do anything with my life that i wasn't doing before. So clearly it was not the self-help type of book that works for me personally and because of that i don't really feel as if it is one i can recommend to anyone.

I'm big into health and fitness so was immediately drawn to Samir Becic's new book ReSYNC Your Life but was ultimately left a little disappointed. The books starts off well with Becic explaining the principles behind his programme and why diet, exercise and well-being all need to be sync in order for you to reach your health goals. I also liked the section which talks you through how to assess your current fitness levels so you can easily track your progress over the 28 day period.

The biggest problem I had with Becic's new book is that he spends a long time explaining why you should do something (e.g. exercise, meditate) but doesn't really explain how to do them. For example, the pictures of the exercise moves aren't particularly helpful as they don't really demonstrate what you need to do. I found myself Googling the moves to get a better idea of how to perform them. The same with meditations - it advises that you meditate but doesn't actually give you the materials to do this? The exercises themselves are also a little odd and are generally based on tensing up the body, rather than high energy cardio moves etc.

Finally, I found the spirituality section of the book a little difficult to digest. I'm not particularly religious (I am open to trying meditation etc.) however I found a lot of the section talked about the bible and the author's personal experience with finding his faith than the actual practices he eventually recommends.

The author has clearly put a lot of effort into researching his methods but it ultimately, the book wasn't for me.

I really enjoyed reading this book because it had tips that I could use in my daily life to help my clients and potential clients. As a personal trainer, it can be challenging to get people to understand that the key to health is really about a balance of nutrition, movement, and spirituality (not to be confused with religion). Everything goes together. You can’t focus on just one aspect and then expect the others will follow. Samir teaches his readers how to be “better” in all of these areas without making it seem difficult, or even impossible. People are overwhelmed with health and fitness information nowadays. This book breaks all of the categories down simply and walks the reader through a beginning workout, lists of foods to incorporate into your diet, and tips on how to retrain your brain. This is a book everyone can afford to read. The ReSYNC method just makes sense.

Thank you to Netgalley, Samir Becic, and Thomas Nelson for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Helpful, sound advice. You can get fit at home with no equipment to buy. Worth a read. Might be the motivation you need. I would rank it a 3.75 based on the fact that much of this information can be found elsewhere, however, it's nice to have it gathered together in one spot, and the material might be new to another reader
