This children's book was a very wonderful read for my little sister. Not only was the book fun, but it was also informative. It talks about animals and colors in a creative way. I very much recommend this book for all little ones.

I really liked the use of vivid colors throughout this book. I can see young readers encouraged to count leaves and/or mushrooms on each page. Great book for senses.

Squirrel is looking for something to eat and on his way to find some nuts, he sees his friends. His friends ask him if he would like to try what they eat and Squirrel describes how the food tastes. The book asks readers to find things, for example, something that is purple. This book is very cute and uses very good descriptions about tastes and colors. This would be a great book for preschoolers.

This book is a great book for the fall season. It is very colorful with a great story to go along with the pictures. It's great that it also has things to find throughout the story, which is great for kids!

Fall is here, and Squirrel is hungry. With so many tasty foods around, Squirrel sets out to see what his friends are eating. Squirrel in Autumn emphasizes colors, so each time Squirrel finds a friend, they are eating a different colored food. The book invites kids to find other items on the page that are the same color of the food.

Squirrel in Autumn is a fun "can you find it?" game that will build language skills and color recognition. A fun way to celebrate the season!

I would not recommend this book. The story is great however there's only one illustration. Moreover, the illustration is not that great. This book is categorised as look and find, and there's only one picture, it doesn't really make sense.

The simple story of the squirrel finding just the right snack to "squirrel" away for winter lends itself well to the look-and-find aspect of the pictures. The bright and colorful illustrations are engaging and the prompt to find different items on each page as well as identify colors makes this a particularly interesting book about autumn.

I would use this selection for one on one reading and not for a real-aloud to a group, given the detail in the pictures and the amount of text on each page. Fun for Fall learning.

I received this ARC from Netgalley for an honest review.
It's fall and squirrel is looking for something tasty to eat. He wants to know what his friends eat so he heads out to visit them. One by one squirrel visits each of his friends and gets to try lots of different types of foods that are lots of different colors. This is a good book to talk about colors and types of food and there are items that you can find throughout the book.

Colourful book. It explains about fall and the food habits of various animals and also about colours. The hunt for the red toadstool in each page was interesting.

Little ones will love hearing this book and looking for various hidden things in the illustrations! Very nice book about one little squirrel getting ready for fall and winter.

A look-and-find picture book for toddlers and the pre-K set.. Squirrel encounters a goat, horse, snail, and other creatures outdoors who offer him things to eat in different colors. A dandelion, berries, an apple, and more. Children will enjoy searching each page for items of the same color and the ever-present red toadstool with white dots.

This is a nice book to read or to just look through the pages and make up the story as you go; great for the really young kids that may not want to stay still for a long time. I also like that it is about autumn because this season seems to be overlooked by authors of children’s books. A nice addition to a preschool’s library.

Brightly colored pages full of outdoor splendor are the backdrop for a search game as a squirrel wanders around looking for stuff to eat. In this reality, foxes and squirrels get along; of course animals talk, so I guess it’s not so strange.
Kids of this target age might not know what a toadstool is, but once they see this one they’re unlikely to forget it. . . which is good, because it needs finding on every page. Luckily there’s other stuff to search for too, mostly based on color.
Fun stuff, and subversively educational.

This is such a cute book for Fall, just as the leaves are starting to change and there's a new crispness in the air. The illustrations of the animals are very cute and my daughter loved looking at them. Very cute book that I plan to buy!

I enjoyed this book, i like reading it and seeing that is highlights certain words when describing what the squirrel is eating, "It's Juicy and sweet." "far to bitter." My only complaint would be when reading on the kindle app i could not see any pictures except for the cover photo. I'm not sure if its because of the device's or if there are no pictures. I would buy this book if i could get a hard copy rather then on a device, and it makes it easier to read to my little one.

An excellent and concise story that children would love and a teacher's dream.

This is a delightful seasonal tale that combines vivid images with a nice story about forest animals and the food they eat. It's clever in the way that it will help your little one learn more about colors, in particular, as well as animals and plants, in a fun manner where they'll enjoy the story and learn along the way. The text is pretty straightforward, with no rhyming or unusual words, and the true joy of this book is the combination of the animals, the vivid illustrations, and the learning that bubbles along underneath. There are also some nice 'see if you can spot' aspects. Overall, a really cool little book for the little ones. I can see me and Miss 2 reading and re-reading it.
