I getting tired of Vickie and Griffin. Actually, not so much Griffin. How Vickie talks is so outdated. I understand when she's talking to a ghost from another era but when they talk to other contemporaries it gets so boring. I liked when the Crewe would change it up and bring in new members along the way. I really miss that a lot.

In this latest Krewe of Hunters novel, we find historian Vickie Preston and Special Agent Griffin Pryce (last seen in Dying Breath) off to start their new life together. During what was to be a brief stop in historic Baltimore, they meet up with the ghost of Edgar Allen Poe…and then things get interesting. The author portrays Poe’s ghost much as you might expect if one is at all familiar with Poe’s history. He’s primarily interested in how and why he died which ties in nicely with current events of interest to the Krewe. This is a fast and entertaining read. If you’re a fan of the Krewe series you’ll meet up with a few old friends…both living and dead. I highly recommend it.

I finished this book in four hours and 32 minutes, why it was that good. Poe she wrote about Edgar Allan Poe !!! The past comes back with a vengeance and a lot of misdirection Mrs. Graham is really great at that, I loved how she depicted Poe you could visualize him not the pictures that you see but your imagine of him and how we walked and talked when dealing with Vickie and Griffin it was truly amazing. The mystery truly within itself was well written ,with so many red herrings and leads and false leads you had to keep reading because you had to know and when you finally got there it was like wham didn't not see that coming.
