I like how sports books focus on geography and show that you don’t have to be from that country in order to play for a team. However, my review copy didn’t have text, so I will say that I enjoyed the photos and what text made it through.

F. C. Barcelona, by Mark Stewart is a part of the First Touch Soccer series.

According to a publisher's note, "First Touch Soccer provides budding fans with an organized an informative gateway to the most dynamic teams and players in the world's most popular sport...known throughout most of the world as football. From club history and culture to fierce rivalries and world-class competitions, each book focuses on an individual team, tying it to its city and country."

Throughout this twenty-four page book, there are full-color photographs and interesting facts about this European soccer club.

Futobl Club Barcelona is an enjoyable and educational book, which is geared towards all children, particularly ages five to nine.

Note: I received this book from NetGalley, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

F.C. Barcelona from First Touch Soccer is a great overview of the team. In a short 25 pages, you get a taste of the team's history, stars, stadium, collectible cards, opponents, uniform, and records. With vivid photography, the action shots are amazing! My 9 year old son dressed up as Neymar Jr for Halloween and says this book is the best. Barca! Barca! Barca! Well done.

This is such a cool book for kids! My husband and I both grew up playing (and loving) soccer and hope to pass that love down to our son, who is due next month. This is such a neat way to introduce kids to the players and history of some of the biggest clubs in the world. Barca is my husband's team and I know he would love to have this resource to teach our little guy about his favorite club. My only complaint is how in the world do you write a book about Barca and fail to mention the great Carles Puyol? Come on. That said, I would absolutely buy this for our collection.
