Wow! Reading just the first few chapters hooked me in and I can't wait to read the rest! The struggle these children have gone through and continue to go through are amazing. Their resilience is astounding. While dealing with the loss of their actual mother was difficult for current reasons, I loved how Ads want sure how to feel, but Jamie was devastated because HE loved her and it didn't matter how she tested him. Oh, I can't wait to see how those differences play out in the remainder of the book!

I am eagerly awaiting this sequel to The War I Finally Won, and this "sneak peek" did not disappoint! Ada is such a believable character with worries and wishes like all girls her age. I am counting down the days until October 3 when I can read the WHOLE story!

The War that Saved My Life is powerful, compelling story. The War I Won picks up right where it left off. It starts with a bang, draws you in, and holds on tight. Be prepared to binge read it. There is no way you can put it down.

The War That Saved My LIfe was one of my favorites from 2015! I never anticipated there would be additional books, but the characters were so rich and interesting that I'm not surprised that there is more.

I look forward to reading the rest of The War I Finally Won! After reading the preview I have no doubt that it will be as satisfying as its predecessor.

Two of my coworkers raved about The War That Saved My Life, so I recently listened to the audio version. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The sample of its sequel didn't disappoint. I was thrilled to be back in the company of Ada, Jamie, and Susan. The jumping off point of Ada's surgery immediately pulled me back into their story which continues amid World War 2. I look forward to reading a finished copy.

When "The War that Saved my Life" came out, my son brought it home upon recommendation of his school librarian and he was hooked immediately. It became one of his favorite books. He was very excited to find out there would be a sequel and after getting a change to read the first chapters, he is looking forward to buying "The War I Finally Won" when it comes out. As a mom, I am all for these wonderful books about history and courage and resilience!
