I will admit, I never saw the plot of this book coming. It's an interesting twist on a royal romance story, and you will grow to love the characters (and be angry with them at times!) as you make your way through this novel. All I can say is that I truly hope that there is a sequel!!!

I've been a fan of E. K Johnston and the way she reimagines history since The Story of Owen and That Inevitable Victorian Thing does not disappoint. I'll be thinking about the characters and the world they live for a long time.
