A Snow Country Christmas by Linda Lael Miller is a light-hearted, conflict-free holiday romance. Starring secondary characters from previous novels in the Carsons of Mustang Creek series, this fourth installment can easily be read as a standalone. Raine McCall is a little surprised by the out of the blue dinner invitation from Mick Branson. The two have crossed paths before while he was in town working on a film project with her ex-boyfriend and daughter Daisy’s father, Slater Carson. Since it is Christmas Eve and Daisy is spending the night with Slater and his extended family, Raine asks Mick to join her for a simple meal. Their enjoyment in each other’s company leads to a whirlwind romance but Raine is a little concerned about fully committing to Mick since they lead very different lives. Raine is a bit of a free spirit so working from home as a graphic designer is a perfect fit for her. She is a straight shooter who speaks her mind and lives a quiet life with Daisy. While she has dated off and on since her split from Slater, she is quite cautious when it comes to relationships. However, with Mick, Raine is a little more open to romance but she is concerned they might not be a good fit for a permanent relationship due to their different lifestyles. With a high powered career and a privileged background, Mick is used to the finer things in life but he is ready to settle down and simply his life. While he has a few handy excuses to explain why he is in Mustang Creek, the real reason is quite simple. Mick is interested in pursuing a romance with Raine but is she interested in dating him? With a beautiful snow-covered setting, Snow Country Christmas is a whimsical, low-key love story. Raine and Mick are well-developed, likable protagonists. Their relationship is easygoing and free from any angst or drama. Linda Lael Miller’s latest addition to the Carsons of Mustang Creek series is lovely holiday romance that old and new fans are sure to enjoy. |

When movie executive Mick Branson calls Raine McCall about getting together to discuss a business proposition she agrees. Mick has more than business in mind. Raine is different from any woman he has ever met. Raine is a no-frills kind of person and is nothing like the women in Mick's world. But they both find what they have been looking for in each other. |

Charming Western Christmas story. Love and romance finally finds Raine. Felt a bit rushed but enjoyable |
I loved this book! No one can write a western romance like Linda Lael Miller. Raine is an independent woman who just never found the right man to settle down with but is enjoying her life anyway. Mick is a Hollywood executive who has travelled everywhere but something about Wyoming calls to him. he relationship between these two is electric and beautiful. They both know who they are and can meet and love each other as equals. Loved it! |

Another wonderful love story from Ms. Miller. Raine and Mick have a sweet story to tell. Love and family are everything in life. |
I enjoyed this book. The characters were ok but the scenery was outstanding. I could almost picture myself looking at the snow covered aspens. This book would be a good read on a cold, snowy night to put you in the Christmas spirit. |
A romance that will keep you turning the pages. The characters were so well done you wanted to see what happens in the end. An author I will be checking out again. |
Linda lael Miller is one of my biggest sellers. I always have a list of preorders for her books. He settings and characters are what make her books stand out and this is another great book by her |

You know what you’re going to get with a Linda Lael Miller Mustang Creek novel: nice, likeable people falling in love in a small-town Wyoming setting surrounded by quirky people and stars of previous novels whose stories you may or may not remember. Actually, if you’re like me and read a lot of romance novels, you won’t remember most of the other characters since they’re all very similar in character. I usually enjoy Miller’s novels, but this novel was less than others. There really isn’t any plot. We have two peripheral characters from previous novels paired up now. Movie producer big wig Mike Branson shows up and is already in love with single-mom Raine McCall. That’s right. He fell in love with her before the novel begins and she sorta, kinda returned his love. So there is none of that falling in love plotline. There are no complications or conflicts for their romance. Basically, it’s a novel about a couple already in love deciding to get married. That’s all very nice, but the novel needed more. Are there going to be any difficulties with a small-town Wyoming girl falling for a Hollywood producer? We don’t know because that is just ignored? Is he going to have trouble transforming his life to Wyoming? No, because part of the novel is his appreciating the location, scenery, and quiet. Will her daughter whom she had with moviemaker Slater who is Mike’s friend cause any problems? Nope, not a one. It’s like watching an animated greeting card, not reading a novel. I just wanted some sort of plot rather than having everything be uncomplicated and sweet all the way through. I was given a free ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. |
Another winner from Ms Miller! Loved seeing old favorites and meeting new characters. Winter wonderland setting and a delightful read. |
